Some of the new things that are happening are not what made this a great place to come to.I understand change, but it should be

We were highly disappointed in the music at the bash. why are you paying DJ to play the same music every night? yoiu need to find DjJ that play to the crowd that is there. a hour after the show no one is dancing and complaining about the music.same bet over and over.. The service was great at the restaurants.the food was good. the bartenders are awesome. several people remembered us from last years stay. thats alway a great feeling. the place was clean and inviting to us. the butler"s were fantastic.the new playmakers were not very friendly to us. we were there for 14 days.and only one of them made a effort to say Hi. one time. Last year they chatted with us a lot.

    Couple getaway

We loved the delicious meals and our room but would have preferred a first-floor room and the room we had smelled musty and the electronic drape was dirty. Also the front desk staff's English was not good at all! In addition, the swimming area of the sea was direct with seaweed and only got picked up towards the end of our 9 day trip. The hot tubs were extremely filled and not hygenic and the shower head in our room was weak and I don't see why we didn't have shower gels, shampoos and conditioners bulit in to the wide wall area of the shower? The cleaning gentlemen was good for our room 1224 but we didn't like the staff at caffeine or at swiminng pool area asking for recommendations. If I want to celebrate someone, that's up to me. The only real restaurant and outstanding service was at She and our server Marco was outstanding. Sea Flirt had no fish so that was a serious disappointment. Finally, we did not enjoy the crappy techno-pop music in the evenings when I would expected something more like smooth jazz and several guests in our wing (1200 block) came home at around 4am and disturbed our sleep. That is not acceptable. We will come back but again you have to improve the breads and desserts as they were awful other that at Caffeine and your rates should be lower. But we did appreciate the limo ride in comfort coming and going from the resort.

Fun but not as fun as it was January 2025

Was good. Jones at Sutra was the best. He made the stay great. We had more fun during the week then the weekend. The crowd on the weekend was not our crowd. The atmosphere at the sexy pool wasn't as good as it was last year. Miss JJ and Pretty boy. Those 2 use to be great and got the crowd going.

We had a blast - first timers

This was our first time at Temptation and it surely did not disappoint! While I have read reviews of members and people who have previously attended indicating the state of the resort and management is going downhill, as a new guest we did not have any complaints. The staff was amazing, the room was well taken care of in the daily and we did not feel we were missing anything while we were there for 10 days. Fernando was fantastic and he kept the strong drinks coming all day long. We did upgrade our room and were able to access the premium liquor on the rooftop bar, we didn’t need to as Fernando kept our glasses full at all times. Alfredo in Fernando’s absence was also fantastic! Tipping can go a long way! The staff at the restaurants were amazing, and at one point some of the buffet servers were ‘fighting’ to have us in their section. Food was great and we had no complaints! Our favourite restaurant by far was Sutra, and Christian provided amazing service each time we went. We attempted Flame in several occasions but found they were closed some nights, without notice. There were other options available but a heads up would have been helpful. The only unfortunate part in terms of restaurants is the limited seating available to be booked at SHE. After standing in line for 30 mins well before the booking start time, we were turned away because there was already 6 tables waiting. We were told the remaining tables were held for members and to be booked VIP, for a significant fee. Later in the day we noticed staff trying to sell the VIP tables poolside, but nobody was biting. I wonder how many tables sit empty there every night because they are ‘reserved’. We had no concerns with security (upon checking in there appeared to be two males getting into an altercation at the Bash bar, but were quickly informed one of them was being kicked out due to his behaviour) and we did not feel‘preyed upon’ by any guests as some others have indicated. The entertainment was great and provided ample people-watching opportunities. We met some great people whom we will stay in contact with for sure. There is no pressure for LS if you are not interested, and minimal judgment for being ourselves. I will say the music at Bash as well as the pools appeared to be on a loop and we were able to predict the next song by day 5 or 6. A better variety would be appreciated. Our room was by the quiet pool and we appreciated the ability to ‘take a break’ from the more lively environment at the Sexy Pool. In saying that, I do wish guests respected this area a little more as after parties from Bash often migrated to the jacuzzi suites in the middle of the night, with loud music and loud guests. As a person who struggles to sleep at times it was slightly frustrating, though not a nightly ordeal. Overall the resort was clean and well kept, on the daily the grounds crew ensure the pools and walkways were clear of debris and we witnessed them testing the pools daily. Cooler weather left people to avoid the pools on some days, but once the sun came out and the pools warmed up a bit, there was plenty of guests to be found. Not sure if they have a way to warm up the pools on a cooler days, but I believe it would be helpful in keeping people from just being in their rooms on those days. We did participate in the premium membership meeting and while they were persistent, once we made it clear we were not buying, they backed off. We have experienced much higher pressure for timeshares at other resorts. The free massage was worth it! Judging by the reviews memberships are deteriorating with the new management which is why we did not buy. Transportation to and from the resort was a breeze with MTS and we’re glad that was an option provided when we booked through Expedia. We loved the fact there are some shops and restaurants just off the resort for some walks and to get a better taste of the Mexican culture. Overall, I give this vacation a 9/10. It’s all about your expectations, as introverts we wanted a vacation where we could balance rest, relaxation, and a party atmosphere, and that was certainly the case. It all about what you put into it, and the people you meet. We will 100% be back to party some more!

    New management = Nightmare

My boyfriend and I finished our second visit to Temptation today, our first visit being Jan2025. As many others are posting, we noticed a huge difference in the management of the resort. Last year we had zero issues and would have rated 5 stars, this year we were given the run around many times, on top of issues we noticed with the resort itself. The pros: - We met great people (other guests) - The service staff (bartenders, restaurant staff, housekeepers etc) were phenomenal. Zero complaints and they are the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. - Good food at the buffet, bash and pool grill, and great food at à la cartes. We visiting the buffet, Flame and Sutra (teppanyaki table). Wonderful meals. - Attentive bartenders, great drinks The cons: - We booked directly through Temptation this year and paid for round trip transportation ($100). No one ever showed to pick us up, no one answered the phone when we called multiple times, no transfer company had a record of us. We ended up paying out of pocket for taxi from the airport. When we showed up to the resort the check in desk told us we needed to talk to the concierge the next day about it re: refund. The next day we sat at the concierge desk for nearly an hr while she called to confirm we didn’t get picked up (we didn’t) and finally offered $40 credit (for a service that wasn’t provided and half of 100 should = 50). She said she would talk to management about it being 50 and would email us, no email came. 40 was applied to the file (after checking ourselves another day). It’s certainly not about the $10 but the principle. - The pool and hot tub were cold. The weather wasn’t great during our stay which isn’t their fault but the pool was freezing and multiple days there were 0 guests in it. The hot tub was lukewarm at best, we saw several guests complain and the temp was never turned up. - The music played at the pool and Bash is terrible. Even during theme nights when they play better music, they switch it by 11pm. Many guests have said this is an issue and has been for years. The night will start out with a party and then quickly die down once they change the music to the same playlist as every other night. Unless you like hearing house, EDM, or only 10 second snippets of somewhat decent songs, it’s not a good vibe. - Last year we managed to skip the premier ‘welcome tour’ (sales pitch) and were not bothered by the premier sales team during our stay. We were stopped several times this year and had to say no multiple times to them before they’d walk away. One day we were approached twice within 20mins. - Late checkout had been booked as our flight home was late evening, and then we were told no it wasn’t available. Then they said ok but 12. Then 1. Then 3pm, but it took again, an hour of arguing to get what had already been booked. - Our transfer back to the airport was booked for 6pm (they told us) and when we went to checkout they said no it was 7pm. This could be a small error, but once again was not what we were told. - Our booking had a $200USD resort credit included and we asked multiple times if it could be used at the gift shop and were told yes. When we checked out they tried to charge us for the items. Then said ‘no, you had a 200peso credit’. When I showed the email confirmation proving $200USD they then said ‘but it can’t be used for the gift shop’. Even though we had asked multiple times and were told yes. If this is the case that’s fine but all staff need to be trained properly and know this information. - There was never a consistent answer for anything, every single time we asked about anything we were given a different answer (that ultimately benefited the resort and not us). - All of the interactions we had with the front desk, concierge, management were so frustrating that on our checkout day we actually opted to leave early and pay for a room at the Marriott to spend our time before having to go to the airport. By that point we had zero confidence they would honour our late checkout, allow us to use the resort until transfer, or if the transfer would even show up. Last year we booked with Air Canada Vacations and had zero issues with transfers, checking in, checking out etc. I would HIGHLY recommend that you do not book directly with Temptation if you are planning a visit. Staff/management at the concierge, check in/out desk were an absolute nightmare to deal with and ultimately will be the reason we do not return. From many conversations with other guests, this all has to do with new management. As mentioned above, this does not include any of the bar staff, servers, cooks, bellhops etc. they were the best part of our trip. This is a fun adult only resort but what an unfortunate, huge difference compared to last year.
