Great location on ocean, great views and sunsets
Nice, cozy small hotel.. views , pool, ocean very nice.. The French Mexican restaurant not that good. Fixed Menu , too many servings with no WOW taste. Not a big mega resort, very quiet. Pool chairs fill fast, arrive early..
Impress your loved ones
The property is stunning and unexpected. We arrived via boat, after traveling through a tunnel of Mangroves you feel like you enter into a small village unlike the roar of Cancun. The staff is warm and welcoming, and Villa Rollandi feels like a home. We ate lunch at the restaurant Casa Rollandi with a group of 17. The food was phenomenal, and the recommended wine pairing was spot on. The views are equally amazing. One of my favorite experiences in Mexico, and I have traveled there more than six times this year alone.
DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE
I planned my wedding to be here. First, they charge 120 (day rate) for all guests not staying on property. which is fine. but then they did not allow your guest on until ten minutes before the wedding. But I paid for day rate? Their website says we can have a private reception but then said this was a typo and we have to pay 400 if we want to have a private reception with. The worst part was THEY CANCELED MY ROOMS 1 week before the wedding. I had 2 rooms booked, they had a "system error" and my rooms were canceled, when I called I was told all rooms for the day after my wedding was booked so My husband and I were forced to find a new hotel. They yelled at my kids to get out of the pool at 8 pm even though they told me the pool was open till 11. The DJ doesn't do anything at all. Oh, and my officiant was canceled the day before the wedding so that was fun to deal with. The wedding planner will not return phone calls or emails so planning was nearly impossible. The food was ok, but not even close to the food at the other 5 star restaurants around. I was in tears most of my stay there. The only saving grace my photographer that was not assoiciated with them, he seriously saved the day and ran my whole wedding while taking amazing pictures. Sebi messina is the best! My rooms was supposed to have a hottub and didnt. I cant really say one good things about this place. big waste of money.
Zoetry Villa Rolandi Presidential suite
Staff was excellent, great service. The Restaurant Rolandi was the best that we had throughout the Am Resorts. There was a large selections and the food was exceptional. Definately rent a golf cart and visit the south end at sunrise. Go to north beach and Mia Reef, take a can of pringles to feed the fish near the rocks by the Mia Reef hotel.
Villa Rolandi is always wonderful--siempre es maravillosa
My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Villa Rolandi, as we did our 20th and our 25th. Why do we come back? The place and the people. It is an elegant, lovely, immaculate, small hotel with its own beach, two amazing restaurants, three pools, and charming well-kept grounds. All-inclusive now, there are no worries just relaxing tranquil times beside the pools or in a chair at the beach. The food is excellent. Every room we've stayed in was great. Do see if you can get the top floor as the vaulted Catalonian-style brick dome ceilings are astounding. But it is the people that stand out the most. In our three stays over ten years we have found many familiar faces, some who honestly recognized us as well and welcomed us back warmly: Jimenez at the pool who never leaves you waiting for food or drink, Juan Carlos, too, who is always there to see to any whim. José at the front desk (who roots for the Astros and kept me up on the score). Manuel who helped us when we needed it. Hidalgo at the arcade bar, who has the patience of a saint. Everyone from the pleasant gentleman who tends the gardens to the folks who care for the rooms are truly the best staff any hotel could ask for. All I can say is we hope to return soon. And muchas gracias to everyone at Villa Rolandi for making my wife and me so happy.
