Best possible Waikiki experience
Ocean front room with club access meant we had the best of all worlds. Views of Diamond Head, clear views of the Friday night fireworks, able to see the turtles along the pier. Great pool and bar, close to all major highlights. When it is super hot, you don't want to be walking miles. So good to be right at the waterfront with all the restaurants and bars nearby!
5 Star Service
Upon arrival greeted with a cold towel and fresh guava juice. Check in was a breeze. VIP service the entire stay. Valet parking always quick. Every person on the crew was nice from the house keepers to the managers. Nice shops in the hotel, although a little pricey. I did find a few good deals there. Starbucks located on the premises. Very convenient. Enterprise car rental onsite. Very convenient. Restaurants and bars onsite. Ocean Front. We walked around mostly and took the free trolly. The hotel is located in the heart of the stores and restaurants We plan to return
Fabulous vacation spot! We were greeted and checked in by Alohalani! She was so kind and so sweet and even upgraded our room! Her name suited her ! Our view from the room was spectacular! The hotel was so conveniently located to everything we wanted to do!
Not what it’s wrapped up to be !
If you want a hotel where the room is over priced and over rated and dated ( still using shower curtains !!!) , and there is no room at the resort pool for the whole time you are there (10 days ) and you are happy to pay 20 percent tips for lousy service - this is your hotel ! Folks , this is not a four star hotel . The hotel room had crisps on the floor the first day of arrival plus we found old fruit in the draws on the day we left ! The rooms were obviously not cleaned properly . Dukes restaurants were a laugh . If you had a lousy waitress who forgot you were there and asked another waitress to help - they wouldn’t ! . The seater would not do serving or the server wouldn’t do seating ! It was like a scene out of the “ Ghostbusters” ... “ are you a seater or a server or are you the gate keeper “ 😂😂😂 they are so focused on tips from their tables , it territorial BS! You are literally paying tips for the staff to bring your food out to the table. Resort fees do not include beach chairs, that’s an extra 30 plus US dollars for three hours ! The seating provided st the resort ( if you could get it ) provided no shade ! Very disappointing and constantly waiting in lines for anything ! Tick ! Done Waikiki and the outrigger . Never again ! Also Aussies , our dollar is shocking so expect to pay a fortune ! The plus was the weather and the view - but there are far nicer hotels then the Outrigger .... awww and watch for tour discounts from the hotel - they try and sell you time share apartments - which is a joke ! Sorry Outrigger but you need to get your act together . The service was fake and the rooms were definitely not four star ! And please don’t advertise a big pool - it was like an oversized bath with patrons packed in like sardines !
Dated, but convenient
We had a fantastic view of the ocean from our room, but it was slightly spoiled by smokers on neighbouring balconies so we couldn’t use it much. We liked our stay overall and the free use of the “getting ready” room after check-out was appreciated prior to our long flight back to London. The “club lounge” was a bit of a joke, overrun with pigeons and barely furnished. It didn’t feel luxury at all, and I’m afraid the decor of the whole hotel is lacking, very outdated for the prices you pay today. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and attentive from the bell desk, to luggage porters to reception. Mahalo!
