    Beautiful place

Overall a good experience disappointed that the swimming pools close at 6 Pm. Do to seaweed the beaches were closed I feel that the pool hour should have been extended. Limiting what people can do for the rest of the day/evening.

    Pool, Food and Service! Excelenté

This was our 3rd trip to Now Sapphire. They have done some great improvements along the way. The swim out suites are fantastic. Rooms are redone. Beds, pillows and bedding are great. The water slides are a nice addition. One needs a little more slope to it but cool nonetheless. Here is why we love this place. This place is all about the pool, food and service. The pool is so big you never feel over crowded. Fun activities with the entertainment team. Big pool bar where Jamie is pouring drinks all day and he’s happy n fast! Service at the pool is great with Diego always taking care of us and our kids. Krystal was also a wonderful pool server. She was at the preferred pool and regular pool. Pedro our main bartender at the preferred area never let our drinks/beers get empty! The biggest shoutout goes to Jose (pool concierge). This guy is amazing and a true asset to AMResorts. He took care if anything and everything we needed with a smile and a hustle. He was helping everyone all day every day. The one opportunity they have is consistency with keeping all liquor at all the bars. Other AMResorts have this on down and dialed in. The food was great. We eat like kings and queens all week. Breakfast was fantastic. Our kids loved the pancakes. I had traditional Mexican breakfast everyday either chilaquiles or huevos rancheros. Both Fantastic. The servers at breakfast were fun and took care of our family daily. We had room service 1 day for breakfast and it was nice to have it all delivered. Lunch was solid. The chicken wings were awesome. Crisp with spicy wing sauce that was so good I wanted to drink it. The ceviche was out of this world. We had it every day. Fresh and tender with great flavor. The fish tacos and shrimp tacos were also excellent. Again the service was on point at lunch. Dinners are great at Now Sapphire. The team has strong leadership with Arturo and Enrique. These guys were bussing tables, serving greeting etc. nice to see leaders in the trenches with there team. Cibu was excellent... great salmon, beef tenderloin and shrimp pasta dishes created for our kids. Fresco was my favorite. Again the ceviche (augachilie) was amazing. The peblano soup was probably my absolute favorite thing I ate. Yes soup in 85degree weather. That’s how amazing it is. The tacos and enchiladas were also good. Deserts were ok here nothing fantastic. Lemongrass is the Asian restaurant. It was good overall. Apps were good and tons of variety for main course. The sushi was closed and that was my favorite part of this place the last 2 trips. Habachi was great. Fun show and very traditional with shrimp, steak and chicken as the offerings. We all loved the fried rice!!! Paramour was the French restaurant and let me tell you it didn’t disappoint. Ceviche with shrimp n octopus was 🔥fire. The French onion soup was great. They had a chicken cordon blue special one night and it was awesome. I had the filet of beef in a 4 pepper sauce and wow it was cooked perfect with robust flavor. My wife loved the salmon as well. Finally the cream brûlée’s were amazing. Tons of variety at all the restaurants just a few things we found next level. Buffet was solid. They had all the egg stations, crepe stations bacon sausage French toast, pancakes, fresh fruit, Mexican style breakfast etc. we didn’t do lunch at the buffet. The grill (pool side)got better as we were leaving. Started out with just hamburgers n dogs then they added pizza and nachos the final 2 days we were there. Kids loved it. Coco cafe is always a highlight for us cause we are big coffee drinkers. It like your own personal Starbucks without the wait and app. Lol. We had lattes every morning. Our girls had fresh fruit each day there as well. The chocolate croissants 🥐 were my personal favorite. The Spa with hydrotherapy was fantastic and so so relaxing. Nice to get in the sauna and an ice bath. Adila was fantastic with here mask and massage. Lastly the service... the staff at the bars restaurants, cafe, entertainment team, house keepers, towel guys etc make this place what it is. They are so helpful, thoughtful and just want you to have a great time. Korina the head concierge (my friend after 3 trips here) is amazing. This lady just wants every guest to be happy and relax. She goes out of her way to help make your stay absolutely wonderful. Mr. Perez is also a good guy with the same philosophy. There are tons of little extras that they do for people that often go unnoticed or untold. Birthdays and anniversaries are always celebrated with an extra dessert or card or something. They are doing great with delivering on AMResorts promises.

    Very dissatisfied

A bit late leaving this review because of what is happening in the world now. But my wife and I attended a wedding here in February and I have to say we were very disappointed with the hotel .The hotel is in a good spot on the beach and the pool is a large and impressive with plenty of sunbed but that's the good part .The food in all the Restraunts was very poor in the buffet the waiters hustled to get you to sit in there section which was a bit intimatedition although they were friendly we could do without the hassle .The bar service was very poor with very little table service so you had to queue at the bar which was very busy most nights then they give you inferior small drinks very very small measures and only draught beer in small glasses .the rooms were fine and clean asked for more hangers and got them but the mini bar had only 4 bottles of beer and some sodas but no bottle opener ? and no spirits when I asked for spirits I was told they don't supply the mini bar with them, very odd for an all inclusive resort .We will not go back to this resort again as it was obvious they were cutting back on service and quality drinks .

    Great Resort. Seaweed was terrible.

Resort and staff were great. COVID put a damper on some restaurants and activities, but the staff made up for it. Beach was not usable due to sargassum . I would visit again, just not in the seaweed season.

    COVID Vacay/ Son’s Graduation

We stayed here mid-July 2020. The hotel was great. Due to COVID the resort was operating at 30 percent capacity, guests not required to wear masks but staff was, we felt safe the entire stay. If you can spend the extra and splurge on a room with a swimout pool this made our entire stay even better. We spent late nights and early mornings in our pool. Entertainment staff was great there was something for everyone during the day at the pool and nightly family fun entertainment. Food was good, the hibachi was a plus. The fried fish at the Mexican restaurant was delish! If you want to dine at the hibachi restaurant, be sure to get in line 30 mins before they start making reservations to ensure a reservation and a decent dine time. Hamburgers at the pool were also really good. Main pool was awesome, swim up bar was good. If you can reserve a cabana, it was amazing. Beach was not swimmable-full of seaweed and on occasion there was a bad smell. The beach was the only reason I am not rating this hotel 5 stars although having the swimout pool compensated for this mis-hap. Gym was closed due to the pandemic. Other than this everything else was great would stay again but will make sure beach is better.
