General Policies:

Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.

Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.

Hotel Spring Break Policy - This hotel cannot guarantee a spring-break-free environment.

Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.

General Information - Room taxes and service fees are included in vacation price.  Minimum night stay restrictions may apply.  Reservation changes may not be permitted unless authorized by the hotel.

    New, but not 100% Marriott standard.

    What a beautifull job this 35 million renovation. Candy for the eye.... but thats it. Stayed for 17 days. Although the hotel is mostly visited by Dutch and German tourists this hotel's focus is on American guests, in this case a minority.(Curacao was mostly visited by the Dutch this last year according the Curacao tourist board in an official statement in the local newspaper) We found breakfust under the Marriott standard and rather expensive for 24$ and hardly any choice. So they upgraded breakfust aswell as the price. Now 26$. There were no trashcans or ashtrays to be found, (after asking they were placed.) House keeping forgot to clean the room 3 days. Bedlinnen was changed only twice. You have to depend on housekeeping for a clean toilet as there are no brushes..we asked for one to relief the girls from this nasty task. At the poolbar a cook in the kitchen with big hair and full beard but no hair or beard net. What about HACCP, the standard for food, as being so American orientated. Last point: being in the Carribean means being outside however not pleassant on the balcony with uncomfortable chairs. I'd like to call this "starting up issues" and hope it will all improve. As for me I will stay @ Barbara Beach again next time.

    Great resort and staff.

    We spend 3 days at the Marriott and the staff is extremely helpful and very service minded!!! Mrs.Shurlette in the reservation department helped us with the reservation, she was extremely helpful and extremely friendly. We was checked in by Quishanna and she was extremely awesome! She gave me a quick explanation of the resort! The rooms are extremely nice and the beds are very comfortable!! The housekeeper did a good job the room was neat!! The house man Arnaldo went the extra mile by helping us with something we asked him about!! We had an awesome stay we will definitely come back to this resort!!!

    Great place to spent your time on Curacao

    We spent 4 nights in this brand new Marriott resort. Arriving in the modern but also warmly welcoming lobby was already a great moment for us. All the staff is really friendly and helpful and create a very pleasant atmosphere. Especially we would like to mention Graceny - she welcomed us at the check in and made us feel very comfortable from the very beginning with her kindness and “can do” attitude. The room was very spacious and modern as well: comfy bed, huge bathroom (with a great mirror), well placed AC, and a huge flat screen. We loved the whole interior! Mentioning the staff, we would also like to thank the bar team - super nice guys - very friendly and charming - still in training. And therefore we “only” have awarded 4 stars to the hotel as there is still room for improvement regarding the coordination and drinks selection (there was no coconut rum in the Caribbean?! :-() - give them one more month and it will be perfect ;-). In total we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to this beautiful place.

    Nice new property

    Hotel just opened so like you’d expect there’s some minor issues that will get resolved with time. For example the fitness gym is big and nice but it’s obvious they don’t have all the equipment in yet. The sushi restaurant is only open a couple days a week. But these are all typical new hotel opening issues that will be fixed. Pros: nice modern rooms. Lovely open air lobby bar. Good drinks at pool bar made mainly with real fruit juices. Close to town (5 -10 minute taxi ). Very relaxing property. Decent breakfast buffet. Cons: Beach isn’t great. Hotel needs more food options.

    Room for improvement!

    The hotel has recently been renovated. The day we arrived was the day the hotel opened for public. Overall the place looked nice and cozy. You would expect a smooth check-in on the first day, however they couldn’t find our reservation. After waiting for awhile, the reservation manager had to be requested to confirm the reservations were in place. When they found our reservation, our rooms were still not ready. We were asked to wait a few minutes while they check if the rooms were clean. Strange enough on opening day, the rooms still needed cleaning and were not ready? Anyway, so we waited for about 40 minutes and the rooms were still not “ready”, so we decided to go and ask why the rooms were taking so long if the hotel just opened. The front desk staff apologized and explained our reservation had king size bed rooms and that they didn’t have any available. We didn’t really mind the type of bed and asked why they hadn’t said so in the first place instead of letting us wait for so long. After we finally checked in, my room key did not work. After changing the room key twice without luck an engineer had to come and reconfigure the lock. For dinner we went to the C-spice restaurant and enjoyed the food and service. Our waiter was friendly and gave very good recommendations! The next morning we had to leave early but check out took some time again and a few staff members to figure out the system. Unfortunately my colleague found a bug and a cockroach in her room. When we reported it upon check out, we just got a “thanks for letting us know”. For a Marriott we expected more and think the staff could have been more attentive.
