My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The water was so unreal bright and glowing blue. The private huts over the water were AMAZING. The staff was very welcoming and left us a bottle of champagne on the glass table in our room that you could see through to the water beneath us. The hut was so beautiful and included a big bathtub. The windows were amazing, you can see straight out to the lagoon and the ocean. The huts also came with a balcony and a ladder to go snorkeling right by your hut. There was also an outside shower to rinse off in too. Snorkel gear, kayaks, outrigger canoe, and paddle boards were all available to use, we did them all! Their was also a coral reef about a 10 minute kayak away which we kayaked too from the hotel and snorkeled at. This resort also had a beautiful pool. Definitely an unreal experience and we really enjoyed our stay here!
Beautiful Resort on an amazing island!
We had a wonderful time staying in an overwater bungalow at the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort! The service was welcoming and excellent. Our meals on property were better than any of the restaurants that we visited nearby. The snorkeling right under our bungalow and out in the lagoon was so impressive. We arrived on an early flight after a long trip from the USA. We were taken to a stand alone bathroom where we were able to take a shower and change clothes while waiting for our room to be ready. We ate lunch on the patio and our room was available by 1:00pm. We used a kayak and stand up paddle board to explore the area around the hotel. The water is only about chest deep, or less, so seeing the coral and fish is very easy. Photos taken with my phone looking straight down are as good as later photos that I took with my underwater camera. One morning we spent an hour following a large octopus around under our bungalow. At night each bungalow has lights under it so that you see a whole different version of life under the sea. It was amazing! We took a cruise around several islands after staying here but feel like our best snorkeling was right around this resort.
Exceptional Service all around
I can’t say enough about the staff and how welcoming they are. From top to bottom, they were warm, friendly, and inviting which made the stay very enjoyable. The GM, Laurence, was very much a part of the day to day operations and was everywhere on the property, insuring all aspects of the stay were up to standard. The property was in excellent shape. The use of kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and snorkeling equipment was provided at no cost. There is even an outrigger canoe that can be taken out. The food was excellent at both the restaurant and lounge along with fantastic service. Bora Bora is an absolute paradise and this is a great base to explore from as you are on the island, or you can just relax and enjoy all of the amenities they have on site.
We just returned from 5 days at this establishment and have nothing but good things to say. The accommodations were amazing, the food was amazing, and the staff were… wait for it...AMAZING! This trip has been on our bucket list for quite a while, and we were not disappointed - I highly recommend this hotel!
Great Trip to Bora Bora
We had a great trip to the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana. The people at the hotel were very nice and helped us to plan anything that we needed. The food and drinks were great. There was happy hour ever night at the hotel. They had an amazing sashimi platter that we had a couple times during the week. The beach was very nice at the resort and you could rent kayaks. You can kayak across the water to an awesome snorkel spot. We brought water tubes with us and we were able to just wade outside of our room every day. There is also a water shuttle that goes to the InterContinental Thalasso Spa. The pool there is awesome and the spa is so beautiful. We got a couples treatment at the spa and it was so peaceful. They also have paddle boards and kayaks at this resort as well. The front desk had a list of restaurants that you can go to locally. Most have free transportation to and from. They were all awesome. We went to Bloody Mary's for fresh seafood, Bora Bora Yacht Club had the most beautiful sunset and atmosphere, La Matira Beach Restaurant had really good sushi and you could walk from the resort. There is also a pizza place within walking distance as well, The Lucky House, the pizza was very good. We booked our entire vacation through John at Venture Tahiti, it was the best trip we have ever been on. The water is literally magical in Bora Bora and November is a very quiet time of year to travel there, so it is extremely peaceful at the resort.
