Perfect boutique resort!

The perfect, relaxing vacation, celebrating our 20th anniversary! We absolutely loved the size of this resort. We were quickly on a first name basis with staff and it was wonderful to come down each morning and be greeted by name without prompting or reminder. The pool was quiet and not crowded at all. Other resorts, we would have to grab a chair as early as 6 am. Here, we could show up at noon and have our pick. Likewise, we never had to wait to be seated at any of the restaurants for any of the meals. It was fabulous! Added bonus was the wildlife on the property...stunning peacocks, iguanas...to name a few! I already miss it all, including the wonderful staff that rolled towels for under my neck and called me madam! ;) Now if only I could train my family!

Quiet, upscale resort

I enjoyed the vacation very much. Spent a week there with my husband—mostly adults, but a few kids were around. It’s quite small compared to most Mexican all-inclusive resorts—approximately 100 rooms, all with an ocean-front view. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the resort for you! There were activities to keep you busy, but not too much. I’m an on-the-go person, and I had plenty to keep me occupied. The restaurants all had very good food. Top-shelf liquor, but not great wine. Their house wine was ok. Upgrades were crazy expensive—how about $50 USD for Yellow Tail?? Seriously? My favorite night was when Kaax Restaurant had an Italian night—the food was phenomenal, and they had two amazing singers for entertainment. There was a harpist at breakfast—not traditional harp as he would play Carpenters, Beatles, and a slew of other music. They had several birds on site—many parrots and peacocks, including one that was all-white. It was fun to see them roaming the grounds. I did one half-day at the spa. The package deal was not crazy expensive, but individual treatments definitely were. We had some credits to use, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have have the money. A couple of complaints: they are fighting a terrible seaweed problem. They clean up every day, but it is not enough. The beach is really not too pretty because of that. And it doesn’t make it appealing for swimming in the ocean. If you are one who loves going to the beach, the resort currently isn’t a great option. The other complaint was inconsistent housekeeping. They offer services three times/day. Yet, sometimes, the mini fridge wasn’t restocked. Or no coffee. Or no washcloths. And a few other minor details, but at this upscale resort, details should not be missed, especially with 3 visits/day! Other guests lamented about the same issues. And they continued despite management being made aware of the problems. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I’ve had better service at much cheaper prices. It didn’t detract from the vacation, but annoying nonetheless. Overall, I’d recommend but only if the beach isn’t a deal-breaker.

Zoetry in Cancun Awesome!

If you are looking to relax this is your place! Hands down an awesome experience. We stayed in the impression suites and loved it. Butler service was exceptional. Breakfast where they cook for you in the kitchen was another greatness of this trip. You have to try the French toast or the Mexican breakfast of the day!

Beautiful Resort

If you want peace and quiet then Zoetry Paraiso de La Bonita is for you. Do not go to this resort if you desire a party atmosphere. My wife and I went to relax and receive a high level of service and that is exactly what we received. The food was very good at all the restaurants. I would recommend the Impression Suites and all the amenities they come with. Very Nice!

Beautiful, intimate resort with amazing service.

This is a lovely boutique resort with great food and wonderful service. The beach was not in good shape when we were there. We had read that this might be a possibility so we were prepared. It was a little disappointing but we did not let it ruin our time. I understand this is impacting a lot of beaches in Mexico which is sad, and I hope temporary. The resort, bedrooms and pool were beautiful. The food was really good! We were especially impressed with breakfast and looked forward to it every day! Gorgeous fruit platters, amazing chef's daily specials, carrot pancakes (OMG!), and who would think you could get a perfect croissant in Mexico? (due to the humid weather) I eschewed it for the first few days thinking it wouldn't be very good but regretted that decision in retrospect. The croissants were indeed, warm, crispy on the outside, flakey and buttery. There were lots of veggie options and they were also very good about modifying a dish to omit the meat. We sat outside everyday with a nice view of the ocean and a beautiful breeze. A talented (electric?) harpist was performing on many mornings. That was really heaven. The servers were all amazing, caring and charming. Other meals in all the restaurants were very good. If you order food at the pool or the bar, you can actually mix and match from various places. We'd get the soup from Kaax and the pizza from The Grill. I loved having all ala carte restaurants. Order what you want and finish your plate, rather than the inevitable waste that comes from giant buffets. We only had one bad meal and that was dinner at The Grill. Everything was really bland and there was only one choice if one doesn't eat meat. It was beautiful sitting there, though. But we ordered room service after. On a couple of days they had special activity stations set up at the pool, a giant Paella cookout on one day and a ceviche bar on the other - both were delicious and a lot of fun. We really enjoyed the beautiful spa and the services were great. The resort also offers and sunset catamaran sail. We loved this too. There was some confusion though, some of us were told to bring our own drinks as none were offered on the cruise but once on board, there was champagne and beer flowing. The included trip to Isla Mejures was a blast. I highly recommend it. The four of us would have stayed longer if we could have. One consideration, Zoetry: If you go to Isla Mejures, you are allowed to use the beach, chairs etc. at the Zoetry on the island. But you have to pay for your own food and drinks. Really? We are all customers of Zoetry and the four of us that went have been to your resorts many times. From a customer experience perspective, it would have been way better for you to cover the couple of beers and maybe a lunch we might have consumed on the island for the hour that we were there. I'm sure there is a reason why we wouldn't get F&B privileges there, but considering we wanted to see the other Zoetry for future vacations, it would have been a good PR move to allow us to be treated a valued Zoetry guests. This left a little bit of a bad taste. I also loved "no reservations" at the restaurants. If it was busy, we were forced to sit outside by the ocean, under some beautiful palm trees, on comfy chairs, with good entertainment, drinking champagne. How civilized! We didn't mind waiting at all and it was way better than the ordeal we've had at some resorts making reservations. All the people were fantastic and that is what really makes the resort. Special shout out to the nice pool guys, they hustle! We would definitely go here again.
