I'd rather not rant, so it will be short and sweet. Check in- Terrible, no one greeted us, no beverage or towel, carried our own bags to room. Room- Smaller than most resorts, toilets did not flush (very embarrassing), lukewarm water. Servers- Fabulous, overworked Pools- Clean, not enough seating or umbrellas. Buffet- Long lineups, most times there was no cutlery or mugs. Buffet Food- Often cold, limited selection, flies, lineups. Entertainment- None, unless you include the four songs played daily at the aquafit? Nothing to do there. Beach- Not able to swim at. Limited seating on beach. Vendors hound you to buy their junk. Coupons- The lady at the VIP desk hounded us continuously to take the massage coupons, which they tell you what you can spend them on. Poolside Snacks - Tiny portions, cold. They ran out of beer on our first night. The resort sits on a highway, extremely noisy, cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles constantly zooming by. It was in my opinion a two star resort. Pay the extra money and go elsewhere.
Worst resort I’ve ever been to in my 8 trips to Mexico
The only good thing about the resort is the pools and beach. If you can find a chair or beach towel! If you are an English speaking visitor they have no time or want to help you. The food is poor at best and the buffet is so small it can barely keep up to the guest when at a full capacity. And most of the restaurants are only for VIP members there is only the buffet and one restaurant available to all none vip guest. Do not expect your room to be cleaned and if you order room service the dishes will not be picked up from you room till then next day even if you call to ask them too. Took our kids to the kids club and asked three time to make sure the craving activity was being offered was assured it was then came back 45 mins later to see our kids placed in front of video game and no activity was done with them. They where placed in front of video games and ignored. The nightly entertainment if poor at best if it is even provided and there is unreasonably loud music played by guest rooms past 11pm. All in all was beyond disappointed wit our stay and would never return even if we where offered a free flight and hotel stay. Please do not waste you money or time on this resort.
Hit and miss + beware of swim out rooms
We stayed here for our honeymoon week- there were a few short comings which resulted in my average rating. 1) Limited restaurants: hotels.com indicates there are 5 restaurants on site. There were only 2 during our stay; the O Buffet and The Grill. The Mexican restaurant is for “members only” as is the Japanese restaurant. The Risotto (Italian) was closed during our entire stay. I’m not sure where they are getting 5 restaurants for “non-members” from. 2) We dined at The Grill during one of the first nights we stayed here. We received great service, a “Happy Honeymoon” dessert, our waiter took pictures of us and we left a very nice tip. We decided to go back to The Grill for our last dinner and we were turned away by the same waiter who we had only a few nights prior. He denied ever seeing us, lol, stating that my husband’s sandals weren’t fancy enough... they were the same pair he had worn the last time, without issue. 3) Swim out rooms: we splurged on a swim out room as it was our honeymoon. The first few days were great. I do think the resort should include general etiquette tips for the swim out rooms though. Beware that if you are unlucky enough to be surrounded by loud families with screaming children, you’re in a kiddie-pool hell that you cannot escape. The resort should have one area of swim out rooms for adults and one side for families. 4) our request for late check out was denied, a minor inconvenience since our plane didn’t depart until evening. 5) Strong paint/paint thinner fumes permeated our room the morning of checkout. We turned off our AC but it was coming from another vent in our room... guess that’s how they get guests to check out early!
Nice Looking Hotel" but room cleanliness is not good
Stayed at Reflect for 3days. The staff are very courteous and polite! The hotel is beautiful great for families lots of families were there. They have all kind of activities each night. The outside hotel grounds are very clean the staff keep the hotel up outside grounds up great. If u want quiet and romantic this hotel is not for you. Hotel has lots of visiting families .However, the room cleanliness is not up to standard! The rooms are nice very nice looking, modern, and some of the hotel views like mine are wonderful views. But my room definitely was not being cleaned. bathroom shower has lots of rust on it and the couch in the room smells like soiled linen and had dirt shoe marks on the couch. Just making the beds and empty the trash to make It look cleaned .phone did not for 3 days while I was there so every time I needed towels or wanted to order food I had to go downstairs and use the concierge phone. ordered room service twice. Both times food was cold and they tell you 50 minute wait. I have traveled around the world and have stayed in in a great number of all kinds of hotels so I definitely know cleanliness.
Great resort, bad food.
Spent the last 5 days (November 11-15) at this resort. Impressed with the resort and grounds. Very clean and well taken care of. The staff were ALL amazing. Especially Solomon and all the pool servers and bartenders we crossed paths with at the infinity pool. That pool was our favourite, with the view of the ocean. The entertainment team worked hard with all the activities and kept our boys busy with pool volleyball and beach volleyball. Israel and Joaquin. Also the Core Zone(teen club), was a great place for the boys to go hang out after dinner. We missed having a sports bar, which apparently is in the midst of reno‘s apparently. The Coco Cafe was a great perk for morning coffees. Now the bad, the food was horrible. No one in our family starved, but the options were very minimal. Besides the O buffet there was only 1 other restaurant open for a la cartè which they used to rotate the different restaurant options listed at the resort. Definitely FALSE ADVERTISING. Last night they did have the Mexican restaurant opened, along with the a buffet however the other “Grill,” restaurant was only open for VIP. I’m not sure if this is the case because it’s not busy season yet as the resort was pretty quiet. But we were really hoping to check out the Asian restaurant as I heard good things about it. But it NEVER once opened while we were there. Pretty disappointing. The pool bars close at 6pm, with only the lobby bar and Sky bar open for drinks. They played movies out on the grass which was different and nice for those who want to watch a movie. Not much entertainment at all. On day 2, my husband and son both got food poisoning so the rest of the trip was not great for them as you can imagine. They could barely keep any food in, thank goodness for the convenience store right outside the resort. We were able to buy couple bottles of Gaetorade to keep them hydrated. We’ve been coming to Mexico for vacation the past 5 years and this has been by far our least favourite trip. Again, nothing against the resort itself. Mostly to do with the lack of food options. The rooms were very clean, and spacious. We had a lovely ocean view room.
