Arubian Seafood
We had dinner at Arubian Seafood with server Rodell and he was great! We got the salad, the grilled salmon and the grouper, both were very good. Rodell took our picture and gave it to us to take home. A great experience for our first night in Aruba.

Barceló Aruba
Very nice hotel. Made to feel welcome by all staff. Enjoyed the fact we had different places to eat each night. Very nice food and great staff in all the restaurants. Didn’t seem to be enough seats in the lounge bar in the evening and the hotel wasn't that full so not sure what it would be like in the busy season. Rooms slightly outdated but not a major issue. Only concern was the lack of shade on the beech. 10 of the umbrellas are used by time shares so you would have to ask each day if any were free. Also as we paid for the royal level we had a beech bar but this was the area with no shade unless the timeshares were not there. With heats over 30 degrees I did believe this could be a little unsafe. To have some smaller ones they could put up would have been better. If you compared to other hotels on the beech the Barceló was lacking.

Beautiful resort
We are occidental time share owners for over 20 years. Aruba is our home resort. The resort is beautiful and the staff is wonderful, everyone is helpful and friendly. The food Is my issue, it’s meh.. don’t get me wrong. You can always find something to eat, but the quality is just OK.. I expect that from the buffet, but the specialty restaurants could be a little better. Wish I didn’t have to take the all inclusive breakfast lunch and dinner for all seven nights. But if you don’t take it, you can’t buy a drink. It’s all or nothing. I’d like to see that change.

Go see Nora at the Japanese restaurant!
If you happen to stay at the Barcelo in Aruba, make sure you go and see Nora at the Japanese restaurant, she was excellent! She was very attentive with her service and made good recommendations on appetizers, drinks, and deserts to try. 11/10 would return. Thank you, Nora!
