Great team …
5 The entire staff throughout the hotel and dining room are extremely welcoming and attentive Their attention to detail and willingness to be of assistance allows for a great, personal experience. Special thanks too Dieuna and Patty for the 2 weeks we were there

good times
the overall experience was fine but some of the entertainment was blah. the casino was ok the lobby bar area was ok but the entertainment could be elevated some. i was having a bit of a problem while sitting at the bar there was no foot rest and the chairs seemed to lean forward which made it a little uncomfortable.

Not bad
Stayed for 8 days. They need to stop removing the palapas, also replace the broken chairs. Get more king beds. Booked a yr in advance, requested a king and was still offered 2 doubles

Winter Rejuvination!
This was our second trip to Barcelo as first club members. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone is cheerful and wants to make sure you have a great time. Sheraldlyn in the Lobby Bar was super! She was very personable and attentive to our needs and even recommended some great sites to visit off of the resort which we thoroughly enjoyed! Looking forward to our next visit!!!

Outdated Resort / Food needs overhaul
This resort is outdated. The staff are great people. The food is sub par. This resort should just stop AI altogether until they can get a complete overhaul from an executive chef consult. With fabulous restaurants right outside the door you are just wasting food product. I only ate there because well “I paid for it”. (We ate most dinners out and breakfast and lunch in buffets, one dinner at Mexican restaurant). Please invest and think about who you want to be when you grow up as a product. The food, the public areas, outdated rooms, staff all of it is your product and as of now I’d say you have poor product management at your corporate levels. To be fair quality of food standards is also an industry problem in the AI market. You may have a generation of guests that can put up with the standards they bought into but It’s time for change. Be better. Do better than your competition!!
