May 10, 2025Wonderful hotel ran by wonderful staff
Fantastic hotel would recommend to all ages. The neon party last night was amazing and we danced all night to the tunes. The whole light show and dancers were fantastic to watch . A massive well done to RIU for staging this event. MUST also applaude the Michael Jackson show . Again fantastic dancing and Michael J was brilliant with his moves very entertaining. Your staff are wonderful . The rooms are beautiful love the help yourself to bottles of water and even milk for your fridge is available all great . Always plenty of sunbeds somewhere to be found . Food is good plenty choice loved the coffee brought to table by waiter at breakfast nice touch. Would be nice to have the restaurants you book to be a la carte as it felt no different to the normal restaurants we ate in and it was the same food served. Maybe a chance to be able to purchase premium drink too as for example no bourbon available for my husband not even a cheaper substitute was had. BUT ! That has and would not stop us returning to this hotel loved every minute of it Thankyou see you again hopefully to try the white party event .

We’ve just arrived home following a 7 night stay at the hotel. All in all we had a good week. The hotel is modern, rooms were immaculate and the hotel is very clean in all areas. The swimming pools were very busy and very cold. We spent all our time at the adults only pool which was great. The only issues were that there are no parasols around this pool so you can’t get any shade when it gets really hot. There are also wooden slats around the edge of the pool which become very slippy. We saw 3 people slip on these and injure themselves. The food and drink is generally good. Breakfasts, dinner and evening meals were buffet style and plenty of choice. We tried the grill which was probably the best food we ate at the hotel with different choices including ribs and chicken skewers. The Italian was dreadful. The food was the same as what was on the buffet but with not as much choice. No lasagna, Bolognese, Garlic Bread. The most un Italian restaurant I’ve ever visited. Entertainment was also terrible. The white party was good but the rest was a shambles. One night it finished at 9.30 with no music being played afterwards. Michael Jackson act was awful with the guy miming and not singing, sometimes even forgetting to mime. The singers and shows which were on throughout the week were dismal. WiFi good throughout the hotel. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Special should to Agnes on the lobby bar and Danielle who are a credit to the hotel. The hotel grounds are very hilly so I wouldn’t recommend for people with mobility issues. We were a little concerned prior to visiting regarding a sickness bug from previous reviews but we had no issues and did not hear of anyone else falling ill. Sanitisers were used at the entrance to each restaurant and we used our own sanitiser and hand wipes. The hotels in a quiet area but there are bars and restaurants to both the right and left of the hotel as well as the Rosa centre 5 minutes up the hill. All in all we enjoyed our week. We booked it as a cheap and cheerful getaway in the sun and that’s exactly what we got.

Absolutely Fabulous!
We had a wonderful time! The rooms and whole hotel were spotless with polite, friendly staff. The choice of food was excellent with different restaurants to book into which was an easy process. Entertainment was very pleasant with lots of seating available and a variety of acts. seating areas and spotlessly clean toilets were in abundance with a good choice of drinks from the bars. This was the first time we'd gone all inclusive and for us it was a great experience. We will definitely return to the Rui Buenavista next year!

May 06, 2025Overall it’s a lovely hotel but I wouldn’t return as I think this has been an on going problem for several weeks
I travelled as a single parent with my teenage daughter, first impressions of hotel are lovely, clean room and surrounding area’s. Staff work hard and are helpful and friendly. BUT the sickness needs to be addressed, i became really unwell 3 days into our holiday for 48 hours. Luckily my daughter escaped it but many other guests were also poorly. If you are thinking about booking this hotel don’t !! Or not until this issue is resolved as guests are just super spreaders.

Location, facilities, staff and the rooms are brilliant; including loads of space and beds at the pools. Unfortunately, much the same as all the other April 2025 reviews, our whole family was struck down with sickness. I believe this is because the pool side bar grill food isn't served fully cooked/hot and the buffet restaurants not serving piping hot food or rotating the food. Such a shame, completely ruined the holiday, we wouldn't return.
