The food and especially the staff were excellent lovely laid out gardens and pools , our only slight issue was that some of the decor could do with some tlc and the bar area is not big enough and some nights there was nowhere to sit

Jan 11, 2026Not the best RIU
We went for a last minute break to recharge our batteries before Christmas. We were given room 401, first impression was that it had a musty smell, but the room was clean. The first night we were badly bitten by mosquitoes, on top of this the disco next door was so noisy it was beyond belief. My partner went out side to complain and a young lad was urinating up against our bedroom wall. This was totally unacceptable, my partner went to reception straightaway and the night porter noted our complaint but did say that on the plus side the disco finishes at 2.00am 😡. The next morning we went straight to reception and they were very helpful and changed our room immediately. But it was not a good start to our holiday. I suggest that younger quests are allocated these rooms near the disco club. On the whole the staff were pleasant but some didn’t seem very happy(especially the bar staff) Lack of easy comfortable seating was an issue, you felt as if you were sitting in a bus station waiting for a bus in the lower lounge area where the bar was. Food was average. Will not be returning to this hotel. We just felt that this hotel was not of the usual high standard of RIU , we have stayed in many and they have always been perfect.

Riu disappointed.
As frequent travelers with Tui we are familiar with Rui hotels and what they offer.A recent stay at this hotel was a slight disappointment.(1) Gluten free options were very limited to none existent for my celiac wife (2)No waiter service for the bars-shows-pools & restaurants.(3)Rooms were very basic but practical-definitely not 4 star.(4)All cocktails drinks were out of an automatic machine just filled with ice.(5)Specialist restaurants were all buffet and not ala cart.(6)In room fridge had no complimentary water or soft drinks supplied-completely empty (7)No sports bar for big screen tv or pool tables etc.Overall it seems like they’re cost cutting on the all inclusive deals which makes us undecided whether to do all inclusive again or even go to another Riu hotel again-The staff were amazing by the way.

Location is perfection, 5/10 mins from airport, opposite a lovely beach at Playa de los Picollos, a quieter end of PDC but still beside shops bars & restaurants. Not that you’ll need anything as I’ve never been to a better All Inclusive resort. Bars, restaurants, plus self serve beer, wine, soft & hot drinks, daily activities and nightly entertainment, even a nightclub! Cleanliness and maintenance are a priority here. 100% recommend!

When you have not eaten in the all inclusive restaurant as out for day and come back to 24 hour bar when food runs out at 11 30there is no more not exactly 24 hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All i wanted was a cheese roll!
