STUDENT/YOUTH GROUPS POLICY - In order to maintain a family-oriented environment, Iberostar Hotels and Resorts will be implementing a policy directed at student/youth groups. Students/youth are considered by the hotel as any person between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy instituted for all bookings traveling in the months of March and April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:
- All student/youth groups must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Upon check-in, each group will be required to make a refundable cash deposit of USD $200.00 per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.
- In the event that any member(s) from the group engage in inappropriate behavior disrespecting Hotel staff and/or other guests or causing physical damages to the facilities, the hotel management reserves the right to expel the entire group without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.

We stayed first week of December 5 nights. First time with this brand not impressed. Because the price doesn't match the overall experience. At least at this particular one. Pros: Check in was quick room was ready impressed with the room and view . concierge Dan , pool side server Andre restaurant server older lady Karen were all very exceptionally nice. Just about every staffer we encountered were nice and helpful when needed. Top shelf liquor at the lobby bar and make sure too ask for it though. The better bartenders are at the Lobby bar also. The entertainment staff were all nice. They have a free shopping shuttle that arrives at the lobby on the hour starting @9,10,12 in the morning. Simple typical touristy shops your their about 1 -1/2 hours perfect amount of time. Motown show was okay . Decent size modern gym although you have to go to the suites side to use it. Pool side order food service was good . Internet was decent. Cons: You have to do everything with your phone on their app . So you have to carry it with you at all times basically. The restaurants keeping up with which ones are open and closed sucked. You had to look at the app for that. And the food was not good at all . To be honest the worst we have really had at any resort. And they really do a terrible job of communication with what is going on or open. app world now. Place is a bit rundown needs serious updated work. And the timeshare breakfast we did it .Got a free massage but that''s and individual preference. Would i return ? Not to this particular resort .

I recently stayed at Iberostar Joia Rose Hall and was very impressed with the courteous and helpful staff. They went out of their way to ensure that guests were comfortable and had everything they needed. Unfortunately, that's where the praise has to end. The room itself was in a dire state of neglect as if no one had been there in weeks. We had a group of almost 40 people with everyone having similar complaints. The final straw for us came when entering our room on the third day and were greeted with a strong odor of mold. Housekeeping just happened to be right behind us and got to work leaving a strong bleach smell behind. Upon closer inspection, I saw a spot of black mold above the bathroom doorway that was only seen from an off angle and got worse as I gotta better vantage point. While the staff did their best to address our concerns, it was clear that the issues with the hotel facilities were beyond their control. After an annoying wait that made us late for an event with our group, we were moved to another room that wasn't much better. It was clear this place has a mold problem and is a health risk and may have been the reason I haven't been feeling the best on this trip. The day we discovered the mold, I spent the morning curled up in bed and now I know why. I would not recommend this hotel, it's a facade of luxury at a massively inflated price.

Impeccable service
The service was unmatched my butlers Ralston, Rohan, and Gary saw to every request with smile and provided recommendations to enhance my experience. Check-in was lovely the sharp gentleman served us a refreshing island cocktails prior to handing us off to Rohan. We enjoyed a massage at the spa Niekesha was amazing, the wet area of the spa is need of some TLC but it was very clean and the staff was attentive. The gym was also surprisingly large and updated with the latest equipment. I spent most of my time on the beach where again service was excellent I ordered using my phone which was great since I was at the furthest end of the beach. The entertainers were also good encouraging participants to learn new moves. The young ladies Lisa, Angel, and another adorable one all had cheerful personalities and enthusiasm for their work. The young men were energetic and athletic. I enjoyed the morning yoga and the wide variety of activities. The food was nonstop and excellent I tried many restaurants but the best was Jamaica night. I was never bored or unhappy in my 9 wonderful days. I hope to return with my son when he returns from deployment next year.

Amazing service!
Gary, Rohan and Ralstan were amazing butlers and made sure to keep in touch in the hallway and through whatsapp. They were very attentive and responsive to our needs. Great food and drinks. I highly recommend the Iberostar at Joia Rose Hall.
