Beautiful Resort - Great Stay
First thing, this resort was very beautiful and clean. Everything was neat and maintained everyday. The grounds is decorated with an assortment of the vegetation you would expect in this area. So different variations of cacti and palm trees as well. Some nice looking birds and lizards around as well. Room was pretty much what I expected for the most part. I had an ocean view but honestly the way the resort is built it's kinda hard to really see the ocean unless you have a room that's high up, but the room was clean and nice. The staff kept it maintained the whole time as well as keeping our mini bar and snacks stocked. Food was decent. Not bad, nothing great, but the waiters were nice and the restaurants were clean as well. Was happy to see that the beach was swimmable. And the beach is beautiful! That was probably the best part of the stay in my opinion. And the waiters were ready and working hard to bring drinks and food to us on the beds out by the beach as well. Shoutout to Max, Edmundo, and Roberto for taking care of the beverages during our stay! The only thing I would've liked to see was better entertainment. During the day around the pools or by the beach (so much unused space) they should have had some activities going on to get people engaged. They did have like water aerobics and yoga I believe around but it still felt kinda dead in that area. Was pretty quiet at night so definitely can get some good sleep. All and all it was a great resort and a nice experience.

Don't Reserve the Reserve
There were many positive aspects of our stay, including the folks who worked at Paradisus. Without a doubt in first place is Danny, the yoga instructor, who was hands down and hands up the best yoga instructor I've ever had the opportunity to train with in my life. Even if you don't practice yoga, I highly, highly recommend taking one of his classes, especially the Saturday morning one. Danny's yoga classes were one of the brightest moments of our trip. Besides Danny, we also got outstanding service from Andreas and Max at the beach, they went out of their way to make everything wonderful for us. Our second concierge, Cristina, did a fantastic job. There were also many great waiters, starting with Rafael, Carlos, Hugo, Karina, Kevin, Veronica, and Luis. Our housekeeper, Margaret, also provided excellent service. Now for the negative, the Reserve experience was not worth the money, and I strongly recommend to not pay for an upgrade. There's very little difference between the Reserve and regular rooms. There are no jacuzzis in our Reserve room or even a bath tub. The carpet was messed up and we requested to have it fixed several times, but they never did anything about it. The Reserve Lounge was closed most of the time and they kept telling us that they would reopen it tomorrow, but tomorrow never came. Our concierge forgot the date of our anniversary then remembered it more than a week later when it was our last evening. Due to this and other incidents, we had to change our concierge in mid-vacation. There's no special section on the beach for Reserve guests. Also, it took the hotel more than three days to clean their section of the beach, when neighboring hotels did it in one day. Much better to tip the staff well, stay in a regular room, and have extra money for adventure outside the hotel than waste it on the Reserve. In addition, status with Melia means nothing, as I've got Gold status and my parents have an Infinite Red Circle membership with Melia, but it meant nothing at the hotel. Therefore I strongly recommend not to take part in Melia's reward programs, but their Circle (timeshare) membership, or attend their sales pitches. The benefits are almost nothing, so it's much better to participate in other hotels' loyalty programs, where your status actually means something.

Screwed us over
We really enjoyed our stay at Paradisus but all that was irrelevant because of how they screwed us over with airport transportation making that the last impression they left. Because we were a rewards member, we were granted free airport pickup there and back. We come to the front desk to ask about transportation to the airport and they tell us our transportation left an hour ago. No notification no nothing. They kept saying they sent us an email when we looked through everything in our inbox and there was no email. They stuck to their guns like nothing I’ve ever seen a company do. We went back and forth for so long we were so close to missing our flight thanks to Paradisus. We ended up paying $40 for an Uber. 2 weeks later I decided to give them one more chance to make things right by refunding us the $40 since it was their fault and they were still so stubborn about it. Hope that $40 was worth it Paradisus because you just lost a repeat customer.

Great Cabo experience with beach swimming (rare in Cabo)
Great location with rare beach swimming in the area. Max at the beach bar was an amazing server and made the time at the beach superfun. Axel at the breakfast buffet Malva also provided great service, and helped our big party of 15 get each day off to a great start.
