I had been looking forward to this week away from January 2024. This getaway was a time for the wife and I to unplug and be present on our vacation. We loved the resort, the amenities, the food and the staff.

Booked with a 3rd party because the hotel site didn't have any rooms available. Upon arriving to the hotel it was a issue w/ my reservation. Britanna was charging me extra 900 us dollars to add a guess when booking.com made the mistake of not adding my guess on my itinerary. Supervisor Rebo advised me to call & cancel that reservation so i can rebook w/ them at a lower rate. I made several calls to booking & explain the situation, booking stated that riu had to answer a email to confirm the cancelation w/out judgment or fees. I also called riu reggae reservation desk & they told me they don't answer emails. They gave me the run around & the day that I was leaving riu reggae charged me $296.00 after they told me they wouldn't. I went to the front desk & asked what was the charge for and the front desk stated they did not charged me $296.00 but my bank statement said otherwise. The front desk stated they made one charge & that was for the room that I book at the front desk w/ Britannia & Supervisor Nikki. However Rebo was there & said booking.com could of still charged the cancelation fee but my bank statement says riu reggae. I don't know if I will ever stay here again, I don't like how I was treated

During our stay my partner's medication went missing from our room. This caused alot of panic and stress with little help or advice from the hotel. Very dissappointed with the way it was managed, the response from the Riu Reggae was to do nothing and pretend it never happened. My partner is a diabetic and his daily medication keeps him from needing hospital assistance which was explained and all that happened was we were directed to a nurse who we had to pay a cash amount to in order to get a prescription and then pay for taxi's to then collect it. It caused 2days of stress and running around with no help from the hotel. So again very dissapointed

Would definitely recommend
Starting off with the entertainment team, they made the holiday! A massive shout out to Pluto, Flexx, MJ, Pancho & Gabby! They really made our trip what it was, nothing was too much and they are very talented people. The hotel is clean and really well kept. Rooms were spacious and clean and beds were comfy. Buffett was good although got boring after a while. The restaurants on complex were ok, not much choice on the menu but not can’t please everyone. Jerk hut on the beach at lunchtime was the best! Hotel shop was ridiculously expensive!! All inclusive drinks were good, massive shoutout to Delroy in the Margarita bar. All on all a very good holiday, would definitely come back!

I love my trip, the alcohol and food was not that great but you get what you paid for. The beds were not that great as well. The workers were very friendly and rate my trip an 8.7/10.
