Jun 17, 2025Amazing place to relax and have fun
This place was phenomenal! Room was amazing with a balcony and view of the beach. Swim up pool bartenders were so nice. Tania in secrets lobby bar was attentive. Jose Maria in the secrets lobby bar IS THE MAN. Great service from anticipating our order. Pedro and Abril at the pool were so much fun getting everyone involved in the activities. Manuel and Rosalio at Bordeaux provided that most amazing service. Don’t hesitate to eat there. It was fabulous. Diana and Gilberto at Oceana were so accommodating. Lastly Daniel and the staff at Himitsu were so great!

Best vacation ever
Outstanding in every way. Armando, the Activities Director, Waiters Adrian and Humberto from the Market Cafe are OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! No one can compare to them and everyone at Secrets offers great service. So, for them to stand out as beyond execellent means their effort is amazing.

This was our second time at the resort. We were there 9 years ago and loved it. This was the reason we wanted to return. Positives: Clean rooms (no nightly turn down service). Friendly staff. Great Spa. Taco stand at the pool - 2 thumbs up. Lots of bottled water. Nice views. Cafe was good. Nice shops. Beach groomed daily. Lots of activities. Negatives: Party atmosphere with multiple weddings nightly, which brought in groups of people. Pools were dirty, scum, hair, tree seeds by noonish to gross to be in the pool. Service around pool was hit or miss depending on the server. Don’t expect anyone to roll a towel for your neck etc. No daily paper stating drink of the day ( there was none) or where activities are or shows etc. Subpar entertainment. Some shows were repeated within the week. Majority of the shows were jammed into the lobby. Some didn’t have enough seating. There was a cirque type show, that staff decided they should stand and watch blocking the view of the guests which was annoying. No need to book into the restaurants however the food was just ok. Everything has sauces or cream on it. My wife asked for a second glass of wine at the Italian restaurant and didn’t get it but instead they took her glass away. (Maybe a misunderstanding). We were there for our 30th anniversary and not even an acknowledgement when they were told about it. This is not a 5 star experience, I’d say a 4 star at best. If you want to stay at this site, Dreams might be the better option. The pool on that side was cleaner.

Great time at Secrets
Service here is great. Adrian from breakfast buffet was attentive kind and a pleasure to be around. All of the rest of the staff here is great. Sofia, Armando, alfonso, and Brayan are some of our favorites. Concierge took care of any issues we had while we were here. Would recommend this stay to anyone.
