Consistently inconsistent
The resort staff are consistently inconsistent when providing you with information, they are the most dysfunctional hotel staff I have ever encountered, you will never get a straight answer from them, I would avoid the reef at Atlantis at all cost , unless you want a misserable stay

Amazing Stay at The Reef at Atlantis
I had such a wonderful experience staying at The Reef at Atlantis! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The water adventures were thrilling and a highlight of the trip, and the dining options were diverse and delicious. The property itself is beautiful, and my room was spacious and well-kept. I would definitely go back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of relaxation and fun in paradise!

No Regard for Theft
We had so much fun on our trip that I really struggled on how to rate this review. Property and service was great. The building is a little dated but still nice overall. The problem is the you can’t leave anything unsupervised or it will be stolen and no effort will be made to recover it. We arrived on a Saturday. Our room wasn’t ready which was okay because we were early. We checked our luggage to head to the beach and pool until the room was ready. We were able to walk in and out of the luggage storage area to get anything we needed in our bags without question. When our room was ready about 4 hours later, our luggage arrived. My son’s wallet was missing. They told us to file a report with security. We did. That night, it was time to go to bed, and I was unable to locate my CPAP machine. It was hanging on a hook on the luggage cart behind the back pack containing my son’s wallet in what looked like a computer bag. The next day I told the front desk. They said they would look into it and call me. No call. The next day they told me to file a report with security. They told me security would be in our room by 11:00am. At 11:45 no one had shown. They told us to go about our day, and security would call my cell phone. No call. Finally on Tuesday, they took our report. We went back to the luggage room again to search for my bag again without anyone noticing or questioning. We saw 2 CCTV cameras in the room. Well, it should be pretty easy. We gave them the time our luggage arrived in the storage room and the time it arrived in our room. It should be easy to see someone walk out with my CPAP bag in that 4 hour window. I spoke to security several times. I spoke to management several times. I spoke to the “investigation team” several times. They told me it was being reviewed by the security footage team and the investigation wasn’t complete. At no point did anyone know anything. They couldn’t even verify it was on the cart upon arrival which told me they hadn’t even looked. No one ever called me back though they all told me they would. That’s especially disappointing from management. The problem is, it was certainly an employee, and they didn’t want to deal with it. I was told I would be called at home when the investigation was complete. Well, I’ve been home 3 days and nothing. I’ll never hear from these criminals. Don’t spend your money here. Go somewhere that they care about your safety and the safety of your stuff. This place has complete disregard for theft.

September is the best month to visit
The ocean water is warm, minimal occupancy, easy access to restaurants and activities. And the overall cost is fair.

Incredible potential but overpriced as it stands
Like many, we’ve seen ads for Atlantis for years in the US. I’ve also seen photos and videos of the property several years ago and it’s clear that management has stopped or limited the prioritization of updating and upkeep. Many of the staff are rude and seem annoyed that guests are visiting and aren’t eager to help or answer questions. The pools were amazing but I would never visit in the summer with long lines. It was fun and worth the visit in September, but during the summer, I would never pay the high prices to stay at this property. I hope that management can prioritize updating the property, but the longer they wait, the worse it’s going to get.
