Horrible Experience at Hammock Cove
NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL. The hotel wants you to spend the money to go their but does not do their part with food and the service. Most of the workers are lazy and dont want to be there so they have two speeds, SLOW and STOP. The food is horrible and this is the first vacation I actually lost weight from not eating on this trip. We lived on tortilla chips and salsa. The chef tried to accommodate us but by that point it was too late. You get assigned an ambassador who is supposed to reach out to you everyday and see if everything is good and get you set up with dinner reservations. To say the least, I don't even know the ambassador's name because I only saw him once or twice. My daughter got literally sick from the food. I was ready to leave after day three and take a loss. I finally complained to management after I asked for fried eggs (medium/well) and bacon well done and was told only could do medium or well not both. And when the bacon arrived, it was still raw and when I asked politely to send it back to make it well done, the waitress rolled her eyes and said you want me to take it back and I was like yes. Then the only dinner appointment the ambasssador made for us was for a dinner. When I text him at 4:30 pm to make sure we had reservations at the steakhouse, he tells me sorry it closed. I was like, when were you going to call and let me know. So there is NO COMMUNICATION with their employees at that hotel. I was so disgusted I cancelled two spa treatments and was told I was getting a cancellation fee. I was like fine because at this point, I was ready to leave. The day I leave, they tell me, oh we took off the cancellation fee do to what you went through. Like $200 was to accommodate me for the horrible food, lack of service, rude waitresses, pool staff that don't want to work, ambassador that forgets about you, both my daughter and I getting sick from the food and I am supposed to be grateful. For what I paid for that hotel, I should have gotten a refund. So do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on their hotel. Supposedly they own 5 or 6 hotels in Antigua so if one is run like this, I assume they all. So do yourself a favor and vacation someone else.

11th Anniversary was perfect at Hammock Cove!
We absolutely had an amazing time at Hammock Cove. It had the best balance of relaxation without any pressure to do any activities unless you request it. Chef Marco has created a thoughtful experience for foodies. Joel has also created an amazing experience with all the bartenders as the cocktails were all different but each time amazing. (Order the salty pretzel shot if you are having drinks at his bar). We must give a shoutout to Roshriece, Shamarque, Erick, Nigel and Ilaria! Ask Riece for her signature cucumber martini. The rooms were very clean and the resort is beautiful with an amazing view for the sunrise and sunset. We will be back very soon.

Upscale and relaxing
Hammock Cove is a beautiful upscale, adults only, all-inclusive resort that offers a very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere with gorgeous views. The food, drinks and service are excellent. The rooms are dated but very nice and clean. I highly recommend this resort

Our Second Visit to Paradise!
While this resort is still paradise, there have been some changes since our last visit. It is very clean around the resort and in rooms. The landscape crew is incredible. They do a beautiful job and we admired all the foliage around the villas and pools. The pool staff works very hard! They bring you drinks, food, and whatever you want. They need more help! The dirty dishes and glasses would remain for hours without anyone retrieving them. Not a big deal to us, but it was quite noticeable. The menus have changed, but you will not go hungry. The beach/pool lunch menu is very odd. Grilled salmon? Ok, maybe it is just me, but there were truly some odd choices! Again, we didn't go hungry. We were told ahead of time that the steakhouse restaurant also served breakfast. Other guests even commented on this before our visit. That was not the case, so you have one restaurant to dine at for breakfast. If you order room service, it could take very long. Personally, the view from your room is so much prettier for breakfast, so try that! Fun stuff like oysters on the beach one day....makes you feel quite special! Everyone is very friendly. It is a quiet place, but if you want to socialize there are people to socialize with. Ambassadors might also be very overworked. We had 2, but the last few days we saw other random people for room service and such. Not a deal breaker for us, but letting us know would have been helpful. Dinners at the Lighthouse are not to be missed. Everything is delicious, and the service is perfect. You could dine there every night and never have the same experience. Each night is special. The manager is Alex and she is a class act. Don't hesitate to visit here. This is one very special place! Oh, not to forget this : there are hampers in the extremely large bathroom. You no longer have to deal with wet, used towels. Such a small thing, but a great addition!

A grand time was had by all!
This is a long overdue review, all I can say is Thank you Hammock Cove and staff for making out vacation a stand out. Everyone we met was friendly and went out of their way to make our vacation great. The rooms are amazing! Large is an understatement. You could throw a party in the bathrooms. And the decks with those amazing pools were wonderful. We enjoyed morning coffees, afternoon floats in the pool, evening drinks and even late night grilled cheeses on our decks. As my sister said, "who knew I needed a plunge pool in my life?". Well now we know that we do. Chef Marco and his staff prepared amazing and delicious meals. If you have a special request, just ask, they will do their best to fulfill it. I could go on and on but I won't. You'll have to go there yourself and experience all that Hammock Cove is. One thing I will say is that there is no nightlife. The bars close at 10:30. You can still enjoy drinks on you deck with your stock bar. Or hang out in the game room upstairs. But if you really want nightlife, all you need to do is let your ambassador know you want to visit one of their sister resorts, The Verandah or Pineapple Beach club for the evening entertainment. They will arrange for passes and a short taxi ride over there. We did that on two nights and had a great time. You could go there for meal too. But why would you? Then you'd miss the delicious meals at Hammock. Thank you to everyone at Hammock Cove for making our vacation truly enjoyable. We will be back. Kathy H
