Wonderful Place Great Location, Awesome property, Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area was relaxing day and night with infinity Pool, bar, food service and comfortable couches with fire pit at night.
Overated / Noisy
Just got back and we were in room 1201 (the front tower) for 6 nights. It’s an interconnecting room and could hear lots of noise from the other room. 1201 is also right on the corner 5 levels above the pool so can hear all the noise from there which wasn’t a big deal and expected during the day but went on until late at night. The view we had was great but not worth the noise as we were on holiday to relax and also like a good nights sleep. We spoke to the hotel when we first got to the room and asked to be moved they said they were full and would get back to us the next day. They didn’t get back to us again for our entire stay. We even did a google review while there which the hotel commented on but still didn’t contact us. Our last night was the worst sleep of all as people were in the spa yelling all night. We had to get up at 4am to get to airport and they were still in there going strong at 5am when we left. The drinks at the pool were expensive $29 for a draft beer and cocktail. We have previously stayed at the Outrigger Reef but thought we would try somewhere that was a little more updated and regret this decision. We will be going back to Outrigger Reef. I think what disappoints us the most is that they simply didn’t care about doing anything to help. They already had our money so nothing we could do.
Fantastic Hotel & Service, Highly Recommend
Awesome holiday experience, the service was sensational, the Swell Pool area is the most chilled & relaxing atmosphere, Jones Valenzuela, as always is the perfect host, joined by a professional and friendly team, Nikki, Mikki, hosts, Jenny Kim, and Janice who could not do more for us to make our stay special. It was great to also meet the Food & Beverage Manager, Jonathan Cohn, who took time out to meet, and great guests to make them feel welcome. The rooms are modern, this was my 10th trip to Hawaii, and the best hotel I have experienced in Hawaii, with upgraded & modern facilities, and the gym is well equipped. Guests are made to feel special, and all staff at the hotel provided personalized service right from check in, concierge, Swell Pool, room service, and the Long Board Club which we highly recommend upgrading to. We loved our time at this hotel and will be back again next April. Wonderful experience, highly recommend, Mahalo
Over promised. Under delivered.
Stayed here twice on our recent holiday. First was 3 days in the bigger of the 2 towers. About level 23. Room was quite and comfy. Second stay there was for 6 night and was in the smaller tower level 12. Right above the pool. Which is clearly not controlled as there were guests partying well past 4:40 am ( we checked out at this time) the room we had was interconnecting and we had a baby and loud talkers staying next door, we asked to be moved they said they would get back to us. They didn’t. We wrote a google review while still there. They didn’t care and just said sorry and would pass on our comments. This hotel looks pretty. But that’s it. Pool drinks are very expensive. And poor service from bar staff. Lots of places are better to had a drink. They room toiletries weren’t nice and in our first stay they clearly weren’t checked as the bottles were half full. Air con was either hot or freezing. Would not keep to a constant temp. Resort fees are very expensive for what they say you get. Queue when waiting to check in can be very long at times and disorganised with no actual line so basically if your pushy and rude you go next. Cleaner decided to vaccume outside rooms at 8:30 am a few times. I must say only really positive I found here compared to the other place we stayed on our last visits was its right above KAI coffee. While the wait could be between 10 and 30 mins for a coffee. It was one of the best coffees we had while there. Next time we go we will head back down the other end towards outrigger reef.
Favorite Hotel in Waikiki
The super friendly and well managed staff was very attentive to our needs. Really enjoyed the decor and cleanliness of our room. We love the lobby bar with the giant aquarium. It is so tranquil and relaxing. I'd recommend this place for visitors and locals alike. A very high class clientele with lots of aloha.
