Sun, rum and snorkelling heaven
Stayed half term week, not too busy. Weather amazing. Resort was clean and well looked after. Stayed in a spacious superking room with good views of the gardens and sea, and fully stocked optics. Good choice of pools, including 2 pool bars - great bar service, thanks Demar 😊. Foam party, beach parties and plenty of other entertainment around the complex. Lots of choice of food and no long queues (apart from the Jerk shack, but its worth the wait). Hotel on the beach with amazing snorkelling over a reef, saw lots of fish, rays, squid. The downside was the trip to Ocho Rios - its a mass of identical tat shops, with a very hard sell. I would have bought more if left to browse instead of the constant harassment. You don't need to buy Jamaican dollars - USD accepted.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room. The resort was beautiful and clean. We had Duleta Saurell as a housekeeper. She did an excellent job keeping our rooms clean and she was very friendly. The woman who fixed our omelets did a great job and she was very friendly. We only had a few issues. We were approached by a gentlemen selling excursions. He informed our families that he would give us a cheaper price for a tip. We gave a tip for the cruise staff and once we got off the Catarman cruise the salesman was standing on the beach. My husband gave him $10 since he saved us $20. He was not happy, he wanted more. Our other family member had also tipped the catamaran crew and walked by the salesman. This salesman followed us around and harassed our family members for tip money. Our family members were getting nervous since this man would not leave us alone so he gave him money. The next day the salesman and a buddy cornered our family member and was begging for an omelet. The catamaran excursion to Dunn’s Fall was great but not worth the hustle from the salesman. Every night our kids would play outside in the kids area. There was a local guy flickering his lighter on the beach. They approached our families asking us if we wanted drugs. The kids area should be off limits. Our room was placed near the waterslides. The kids had a great time but unfortunately some of the slides were closed. However the area was nice and quiet. The speciality restaurants were good and did not require reservations. The jerk chicken was available by the pool during lunch and it was delicious. Overall it was a great trip minus a few issues.
Excellent all inclusive
The beach is absolutely beautiful the food was great and the staff was very friendly! The cost of the trip was very reasonable for the value~ The jerk chicken on the beach is delicious and served daily! I recommend getting in line early to sign up for the more exclusive restaurants as the fill up quickly.
Excellent Resort and Staff
Hotel was extremely clean, abundance of nice food and premium drinks, beach beautiful. Second week of holiday was different as due to Covid19, no more tourist allowed into Jamaica, but staff did really well, constantly cleaning and trying to keep all remaining tourist happy and calm . Tip, higher floors give you better views and quieter.
The hotel was amazing . we got authentic Jamaican cuisine in their buffet. The staff was very friendly. They made you feel at home .Our stay was simply paradise. We are already planning another trip with the whole family next year.
