Beautiful resort . Paid for pool view, no pool in sight . Long walk to pool, can't even use pool side restaurant without upgrade . Long walk to restaurant . I upgraded to pool side room with a promise of a butler, paid for it. No butler in sight, but we could finally eat at the outside restaurant. The buffet was average for a five star . Long walk again . Same waiter pushy to sit in his section for tips . I couldn't sit where I wanted because of him , I hate beggars. I have a 15 year old daughter I had to watch like a hawk because a 24 year old employee was hitting on her and telling her he loved her . Very bad . Paid for an excursion off the hotel , guy didn't have change, never saw him again. Call me stupid I guess , it was only ten bucks but still . Bartenders were not friendly by the pool side. I will never come here again . The hotel being beautiful is not good enough for me , especially when you are paying good money.

Beautiful hotel good people good management good food , Just be aware they have also old part of resort what you don’t see it online or your agent wouldn’t tell you when you check in they put you to in this old part of resort . fart far away from the beach and you have to use shuttle to get to everything . It’s old and remind me Motel 6 . You don’t have other choice than pay to do upgrade . When you try to complain to management it’s not going anywhere and same thing with your travel agent . Not gonna go back so many other better choices around it’s completely disrespect. Especially when you check in later in the evening with two year old baby after flight on your hand . Don’t complain much but you have to be prepared as well .
Love This Place!
This has got to be one of my favorite resorts so far! The staff is very nice and the food is amazing! I love how fun the staff is! They even had mama juana shots with me a few times! It had everything I love in resorts. Great food, drinks, beautiful long beach, lots of entertainment on the beach, lively atmosphere, and beautiful clear water ! One thing that did bother me was I had requested a room with a decent view and when I told that to the concierge he kept trying to bargain with me to pay more money for a room with a nicer view. I refused to and he gave us a room that was over a back alley. Probably one of the worst rooms he couldve gave us. It is okay though because the trip made up for it but I would've appreciated a room with a better view!
Fantastic hotel and stay
Just had a fantastic week at Now Larimar hotel which has recently been renovated. We went as Preferred members which was worth the upgrade. The hotel is lovely with excellent pools and general surroundings including the beach. Room was great. Food is excellent with lots of restaurant choices. We were really well looked after by Warnes, who ensured we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Entertainment was pretty good and better than average for hotels. Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel. The hotel was closing just a couple of days after we left because of the Covid-19 issue and I'd just like to pay tribute to the staff (most of whom were being laid off) for their excellent attitude and service even under these difficult circumstances - thank you to you all!
Poor service, big attitude
We stayed here for 10 days. Accommodations were clean. large and elegant. We purchased 2 rooms Oceanview and received partial view. Even the last unit had partial ocean view. This resort is long and a walk from the beach to the buffet or lobby is far. Restaurants are average for a 5 star resort (3 out of 5). Entertainment (2 out of 5). Drinks (2 out of 5) But what concerned me the most was the attitude. The people at this location are not humble and do not assist you well. To stay at this hotel is a fair sum but we had 2 rooms. Everyone believes that they are doing you a favour by letting you be there. That is a wrong attitude. Very ignorant. Tourism sustains that country. Some people are nice, I'm going to say most are nice, but this location must have found every person with an attitude..
