Decent Resort for a Day
Check in took forever.....like over an hour! We arrived before 10:00 am so our “welcome drink” was cool aid. Once outside, we had a difficult time finding beach chairs because resort guests had left towels and clothing on chairs to reserve them. Our assigned waitress gave us some chairs with a towel on them, only to have the owner of the towel show up rather upset that we took their seats. Service after that was slow. We ended up with two waiters and we would place orders with both of them. The walk to and from the beach is a long one and they couldn’t keep up. Lunch was ordered and brought to us. It also took lots of time. There isn’t much of a beach front but the grounds are okay. I would probably stick with Nachi Cocom next time. Nachi does have pesky vendors but the beach and guaranteed shade makes it more desirable and for a few dollars less.
BEST VACAY EVER!!
I went with a huge group of people for a dive trip. The staff treated us so well and the service was great. Miguel, Jorge, and Johnathan were superb! The dive shop was very helpful and the unforgettable pepe, who was our dive master, was the best dive master i have ever had!! The videographer, Diego, did so awesome at capturing our photos! We all had a great time and can’t wait to come back!! They made us feel welcome and made sure we always had a good time! 10/10 recommend!!
Terrible dirty and a safety issue rude racist staff. The rooms are out dated and smelled like feces. Took a lost and went to Cancun the staff are the rudest people I ever met. I am in an interracial couple they spoke to my bf but not me and when they found out he wouldn’t tip them ever five seconds they wouldn’t speak to him
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Buffett morning, noon and night, breakfast was their best meal. They have a fancier restaurant, way better food options, you get a welcome drink. Restaurant included in the all inclusive deal. Everyday they had a drink of the day. All drinks we tried, were great. My only complaint is the A/C in our room, not cold enough even at 60oF, we still felt warm.
This was our 7th trip to El Cozumeleno. We had a great view from the third floor. The snorkeling there is great. The staff is excellent, especially the servers. What impresses me the most about the resort is the fact that most of the guests have been there many times before. I would like to thank Oscar, Helen, Miguel, Miguel, Juan, Gabriel, Freddy, Angel and Manuel for their excellent service.
