Great Value for your money

I'm a little late in posting this.....we visited Reflect Grand Krystal in late Janaury for an alli inclusive family vacation. Our age group ranged from 3 yrs old to 65 yrs old. The highlights to our trip was a beautiful amazing beach...so clean and the water was a lot calmer on this side due to the large boulders that broke up the waves. This was very important for us because we had young kids and were able to enjoy the ocean. The rooms were ok, clean but the beds were not that comfortable. Two double beds for a family of 4 is a little tight. they should have offered 2 standard queen size instead. The food i would rate a 7 out of 10. The italian, japanese and the Grill were all excellent. The buffet was not that great for lunch or dinner, not much option and the breakfast was good however they were contantly out of hasbrowns or pancakes or waffles. Even if we got there early we always had to wait for something. The staff were INCREDIBLE, so attentive and so willing to do anything for you. My kids are picky eaters and we asked for a fruit platter during dinner at the Grill however they did not have fruit paltters on the menu so our waiter ordered a fruit paltter for us through room service and had it delivered to the restaurant. Martha at the buffet was amazing, she always went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. ALL the staff were great, i dont remember all their namesotherwise i would mention them. Also the beach side service was amazing. i never had to look for anyone, they made sure we were taken care. One other thing that could be improved is more beach huts. There were not enough and were always full by 8am each day. in my opinion tipping goes a long way...the staff are appreciative of any tip and deserve them. Overall great trip for what you pay.

Highs and lows and our shared feelings - 3.5 Rating

High's - Unlimited dining at the a la carte restaurants which are fantastic. Especially Mexican and Italian ones. Went to Risotto 3 times because of the excellent service from Arturo!! The Resort Activities team made this resort and the trip for us. They were absolutely fantastic and really engaging in a friendly way - would come back just for the reason of their amazing job. Huge shout-out to Ivan, Brillan (Brian), and Ismael!! The beach is lovely and great for hanging out/swimming. Low's - The front desk staff were very unempathetic when it came to maintenance issues. Our first room had no hot water so we moved rooms. The second room had no A/C! There was a little cool air but it never cooled the room down below 24C. When we brought it up they said all rooms were the same temperature...it was disappointing a solution or alternative were not offered. This was really only for sleeping purposes - we grudgingly accepted this in the end. The beach is shared with the "Vegas" strip. If you're not there to party you will still have to listen to the music coming from Coco Bongo. You have go visit Concierge daily at 9am sharp to secure dining. There is a line to wait in and if you're even a few minutes late you might not get into your preferred restaurant will all the time slots taken. This system needs to direly change to be more accommodating. Overall - 3.5 star rating. We enjoyed ourselves and stuck to the beach and playing volleyball and trying all the restaurants. I wouldn't go back for the reasons stated above but we had a blast regardless. Hope this helps.

Amazing beach location, not-so-amazing food

We stayed there for 5 days. Took an upgrade ($40/night) for a sea-view room, which was well worth it for us. Didn't take the Altitude upgrade ($90/night) as it didn't seem worth it. The room was fine, overall. Except for the very bright light in the balcony which cannot be turned off except by the hotel, which they do at 11:30pm. We like to sleep with the windows open and the curtains open. There was no noise disturbance at our floor. The two smallish elevators are downright scary. One of them had only a light on from a TV running ad ad for the hotel chain. The elevators rattle and squeak. The biggest disappointment was the food. I'm not sure what star rating this hotel has, but the food was, to be generous, worthy of a 2.5 or 3 star hotel (out of 5). Even the Mexican restaurant, mentioned on this site by others as being the best of those available, was a big disappointment. We tried the main dining room and all the other restaurants on site but couldn't find any good food. Unlike other posts here, we never felt harassed by timeshare sellers or for tips.

Very Bad hotel

We was in this hotel whole group. As soon as the room was received it was still not sorted and we were asked to wait about half an hour. We went ashore so as not to disturb. When we returned we found that the room smelled of sewage from the toilet. Phone calls to the reception were not answered and we had to go down to reception. The reception staff treated us very badly and sent us from one to the other. There were plates left outside the room for hours, and ketchup spilled all over the floor. After the irritation with which we were told that there were no rooms there was a similar room. The next day, when we returned to the room in the afternoon, it was not organized either, and one phone call tore my phone out and after direct communication the cleaning women came to order, and then in the evening it began dripping from the ceiling on the bathroom. I checked into the Reflect Krystal Grand Cancún to celebrate my birthday with 2 other friends. On March 15, 2019 when we returned to our room We realized that clothing items were missing from her luggage. Also missing from our patio area from room #110 were a pair of shorts. We contacted the front desk to lodge a complaint and to our surprise were informed that hotel staff had entered our room without our permission. They removed shorts from a suitcase and removed shorts from our patio. This happened because another hotel patron made a complaint that their shorts were on our patio. Adriana and Paul who were working the front desk were rude and dismissive. Every time we asked for a hotel manager they said there was not one on duty. Finally after approximately 15-20 minutes of repeated inquiries Constantine came to the front desk and identified himself as the Manager of Security he said that he entered our room without our knowledge and removed shorts because someone else indicated that was their property. We were never notified of a complaint and were never notified that property would be removed from our room without our knowledge. Staff took the word of another patron without including us in on the details. My friend wrote a report and allowed staff to search the room to prove the items were missing. Jomalyn and Constantine indicates we would receive a copy of the report upon search of the room. We never received the report. Jomalyn , Constantine and Adrian Hernandez never followed up with us. Originally, Jomalyn and Constantine stated that they would follow up with us within 24 hours. On 3/16/19 we approached the front desk and were told by Adrian Hernandez (entertainment manager) that neither of the individuals from the previous day were at work and that the investigation would take an additional 48 hours. At no time did anyone reach out to us to remedy this issue. Throughout the day we remained on the resort and Adrian (front desk attendant) indicated they looked for us at the bar and our room but they couldn’t find us. The day of the incident we offered to provide Jomalyn and Constantine with our personal numbers so we could be reached. She insisted that was not required and that she could find use anywhere on the resort. Our phone numbers and email address were on file and no one used them to reach us. When we spoke to Augustin Pozo on 3/16/19 he tried to shrug off and minimize the theft that occurred. He stated there was nothing he was going to do. He insisted that other managers would be present to handle the situation on 3/17/19. However, today when we approached the front desk again to seek a solution none of the individuals who were supposed to be at work were present. This by far has been the worst experience ever. I will be broadcasting on every social media platform to express my complete disgust with this resort and the staff. My birthday celebration was ruined! And I will never recommend anyone to stay at this property again. As a part of the Inteletravel Agency (Travel Agent) I will insist that they reconsider partnering with AM RESORTS. The morals and ideals that my business upholds is not consistent with how I’ve been treated. This was only icing on the cake. When we first checked in there was a mildew scent in the room. We were told that the room had to be checked out before they allowed us to switch rooms. In the new room we made staff aware that the safe was inoperable with a low battery, but it was never fixed. That night we ordered from the tablet for the 24hr room service. An hour passed, then we called. They said 5 to 10 mins, but the food never came. We went to bed hungry. On 3/16/19 while at the pool ordering a drink I witnessed a bartender not wash, but rinse a sink full of dirty cups out with only water and started to make more drinks in those cups. No sanitizer or disinfectant was used or poured on the cups or in the sink to rid of any bacteria/germs. That same night we made an attempt to enter into the on-site Italian restaurant, Risotto that did not require reservations, only to be told that there was an hour and a half wait with plenty of empty tables available in plain sight.   There are only 2 elevators on the resort the lights were blown out on one and someone was stuck on the other on 3/15/19. It takes a lengthy amount of time to get to your room via elevator. We opted to take the steps majority of our stay.
