Excellent and amazing customer service!
Service is Exceptional from rooms to restaurants. The adult pool was very entertaining and the customer service was 100%! Bartender Guzman was very engaging and had excellent customer service! He will remember you the following day and your favorite drink! Great Service! Highly recommended!

Family trip
There were 11 of us for a family trip, youngest being 11. The resort was well equipped to handle the large group. The kids seemed to be occupied enough when we spent time at the resort. Plenty of space at the pools. The service was outstanding all around. I even found the beds comfortable. The only downsides were long waits at the restaurants (even for a table of 4), location (not within walking distance to anything), lack of privacy in room for bathing.

Riu Palace Peninsula
We stayed from June 11-17th at the Peninsula, for the 2nd year in a row. Everything from check-in to check-out went well. Alex, the bell-hop, greeted us at the van with his huge welcoming smile and friendly demeanor. We were immediately given a welcome drink while waiting in the short check-in line. Ricardo, at check-in, was super accommodating, professional, and helpful. We arrived at approximately 1PM and our room was ready, to our surprise. The view from our room, on the 9th floor, was breathtaking and incredible. Our room was spacious and in very good condition. Byryan did a great job at keeping the room immaculate. We loved the food at the buffet, the steak house, and the Italian restaurant. We didn't eat at the other restaurants, that's why they are not mentioned. Every single worker was super friendly and hard working. The bar staff, waiters/waitresses, and even the workers promoting the nightly events would engage in conversations with us. They are all top notch. A shout-out to Ezequiel (my apologies on the spelling) who was our favorite bartender at the resort! The beach is fantastic- it is the best of both worlds. The right side of the beach has big boulders and multiple cut-outs which felt like little personal beaches. Contrary to what people have said, the sand is still soft on that side (and not rocky). On the left side of the hotel, there is a sandy beach that extends all the way to the end of the Riu Caribe. There was never an issue getting a beach chair on either side of the hotel. There are waiters constantly serving drinks at the beach and the pools. We went to the Caribe a few days during our stay. One day we walked to the Riu Palace Las Americas (about 30-40 minute walk). We stayed at that resort 2 times and wanted to check it out. It is a great feature that you can use the facilities at the other Riu resorts. Actually, that was one of the main reasons we stayed at the Palace Peninsula - so we had access to other resorts. The resort is being renovated next summer - so we will have to find another Riu in the area that will fit our needs. When they remodel the resort, we hope that they include a self-service coffee bar and water bottles in the 24 hour bar/lounge (comparable to the lounge in Las Americas).
