  Awesome!

  Always been a fanboy of Riu, if it’s not TUI Blue or Riu, then I’m not going. The drinks are good, red wine doesn’t taste like paint streeper. The entertainment is always awesome 😬🙌

  Lovely Place

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms a little dated but very clean. Don't order room service if you are really hungry you will starve. I tried to order twice but it never came. The food at the buffet is a hit or miss but the restaurants food was pretty good. Pool parties, the pool bar, spa amenities and sport bar were the top spots were we spent most of our time. They had a variety of activities going on throughout the day it was impossible to do them all which is a good thing! I would definitely stay again!

  We'd Go Back!

  This is my 4th time visiting Punta Cana and my 1st time at Riu Palace Punta Cana. Pay attention if you take transportation/leave the resort because there are several Riu Palaces on site but they have different names (Riu Palace Macao, Palace Bavaro, etc). The pros: Staff are really nice and accommodating. The room was not as expected at first (the bed layout) but the staff quickly helped us to make it right within a few hours of check in. We also had a few other issues that first night (missing bed pillow, needed an extra blanket, a clogged toilet) and all were remedied within 30 minutes. The hotel and it's grounds are clean and safe. We felt fine letting our 10 and 13 yo walk to get a snack on their own or to meet us at breakfast on their own. The beach is clean, and even though the chairs do fill up (we are not the type who race out at 6am and claim our chairs) we were always able to find a seat. Meh: The food. It's never great at all-inclusives, so my expectations are fairly low. That being said, there is a HUGE selection and I think there's something for everyone. This is a great set up for kids, but the dining places are limited. There is really only one main buffet for dinner. There are a few other restaurants, but they seem to just have whatever is at the buffet, but you would be seated and served. The food is the same though. I wish there was a food truck like I've seen at some other resorts, or at least one very good thing (even if it was pizza or crepes, or BBQ). Maybe a special themed night where they do something different? Cons: A LOT of walking to get to other places. We only went to the water park. I didn't mind walking but it is a half mile, and with whiny/hot kids you need to be prepared. There's no food over there but there is self-serve soda/water. You have to bring your towels too. Once you get there, you'll want to stay for a bit as it is a trek to go back and forth. A tram/trolley on this resort would really be an improvement. Overall, we would go back. My kids loved it. They were a little sick of the food by the end, and 5 nights was definitely enough.

  Nice family vacation spot

  Excellent location and activities. Kids loved the pools and water park. Rooms were somewhat dated and did not like the connecting feature between them.

  Punta Cana Palace

  Overall the resort was very good, the friendliness and punctuality of the staff was amazing. Beach area is one of the best I have seen. Pool area was fun and always had something to do. Again the staff were just short of amazing.
