  My Favourite Club is a must-have upgrade. Great facilities, staff, and entertainment. But security needs to be improved.

  We went for 6 days, and paid not much more for the My Favourites Club. When we arrived, the room wasn’t ready for a few hours as we had an earlier transfer, but we were given full access to all of the facilities before we checked in. The room was lovely, if a bit dark but not really any complaints as we spend most of the time by the pool or on the deck. Housekeeping came everyday and were very cheerful and lovely, there was one gentleman with glasses who was very kind and introduced us to the cats who lived below next to the mountain bike shop! The MFC was a worthwhile upgrade, the pool area was significantly quieter and you didn’t have to fight for a sun lounger. The bar was fabulous and the lunch was lovely, buffet style. Breakfast was okay- there was a huge variety of everything but nothing really stuck out. Dinner was wonderful, huge choices of meats, veg and salads and lots of desserts. Unfortunately we didn’t realise until the last night that there’s another bar in the MFC restaurant, which is opposite the main buffet area, which is incredible and looks out down onto the entertainment. The lady working the bar ‘Roxanne’ was brilliant- she is a real asset to the hotel and really made our night, very funny and kind. All was great until the penultimate night, when a lovely couple a few rooms from us in the MFC complex had their room broken into and were attacked. They were thankfully unharmed and still had most of their valuables thanks to the safe in the room. But this highlighted some major safety concerns. A gate to the resort was left unlocked, there’s very few CCTV cameras, and only one security guard at night on that occasion. (i must add that the guard was doing his best, and was working with the police and doing routine checks throughout the rest of the night). Additionally, unbeknownst to us, lots of the sliding windows had been left unlocked after check in, presumably forgotten to be locked, which nobody would have known had they not checked after this incident occurred. In conclusion, the My Favourite Club is an absolute must-have if you’re going as a couple/adult only group. The staff were fantastic, good entertainment every night, great facilities - but I believe they need to improve on the security of their guests. Overall, we had a great time but won’t be likely to return.

  Good if you get an upgrade

  We were upgraded to My Favourite Club, which was a huge bonus with better rooms, a quiet and exclusive pool, and a better choice of restaurants and bars. Without this, I think we would have been disappointed. The food was OK but we have had better at other all inclusive resorts of the same sort. Again, drinks OK but less premium than elsewhere. Location and local area perfect. On our last night, one of the rooms opposite was broken into and the occupants attacked - this has really scared us from future visits.

  Very happy stay!

  Lovely hotel to stay in, plenty of pools to choose from, some quiet and relaxing and some with music and activities. Although all of the sunbeds have labels that state “do not reserve”, of course people still did at 7 in the morning. However, as we came down around 9/10am, there were still a fair amount of sunbeds available so I wouldn’t worry about waking up at the crack of dawn for one. Main buffet offered a large variety of food for everyone, plain foods for picky eaters and a variety of more “adventurous” food options. The all inclusive bar was pretty good, quite a lot of options, however some of them you have to pay for such as some of the specialty cocktails. Good entertainment every night and really positive entertainment staff to accompany this. Only downsides: - Our room towels didn’t get changed once in the week that we stayed, not sure if we had to make a request for this or not! - We got locked out of our balcony twice, as there is no latch on the outside of the door, so if you sit on the balcony, do not close the door behind you!!! Or else you will feel extremely embarrassed having to call for someone to help who is sunbathing below you. - The beach that the hotel recommends is not really a beach, full of stones and rocks, so not much access to swim. We took the electric scooters about five minutes down the road and walked along the dunes to a lovely beach! Overall a lovely hotel and would recommend!

  Summer holiday

  This is the third time we have stayed here in the last 18 months and we love the my favourite club So we have booked again for next year If you are staying in MFC there is no need to reserve sunbeds there are plenty We suggest though for breakfast use the main buffet as there is a MFC section and the food and variety are much better We noticed a distinct improvement in the quality of food this time We ate out a few times and would recommend the ocean beach club in the music square it’s worth reserving a table upstairs on the balcony and see Alison at front of house she is brilliant. Food is excellent and well priced, as are the cocktails We used the sunset lounge a lot for excellent cocktails in the evening as not they have stopped live music it still has a buzz and the sunsets are good The staff are excellent especially reception and the manageress really looked after us Looking forward to going back

  Fantastic experience

  Fantastic experience! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. The food was delicious with lots of variety, and the entertainment team was amazing. Highly recommend for a fun and relaxing holiday!
