missing item
was there a week, went back to hotel room on night and noticed the teddy i have had since birth was missing!!! guest services were no help at all. didn’t do much to help the situation and i was very appalled and left me in tears for the rest of the holiday. i was devastated! we are under the impression that the cleaner has stolen it implying to us as customers that the cleaners show no concern for other peoples belongings!!! after this situation i will definitely not be returning as it’s still not been found!

It was okay Would i go back to this hotel no
The food is very bland no flavour The floors was never cleaned by the pool where we was A lady slipped and spilt her drink and the life guard just put a wet sign there the floor never got cleaned It was a shame you couldn't use the beach because of all the seaweed Also if you did walk down you would get the lucky men selling you glasses but the worse part asking you if you wanted any drugs it didn't matter how old you was In all my time going aboard this as never happened

Fantastic Stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum
We had a brilliant time at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum and would definitely return. The gardens were beautiful and immaculately maintained, with staff working on them daily — a real credit to the resort. The staff were outstanding across the board — always smiling, friendly, and happy to greet you. This level of service really stood out compared to previous holidays. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a huge bed and pull-out for our son. The air con and fan worked well, and the fridge was restocked daily. We had a few minor issues — a temperamental door lock, balcony light not working, and a privacy concern with the shower window — but they didn’t affect our overall enjoyment. Housekeeping did a great job, especially with our messy toddler! A special mention goes to the onsite doctor and guest services, who were incredibly helpful when we needed to source some important medication during our stay. They were reassuring, spoke excellent English, and made the process smooth and stress-free. We had what we needed delivered within 90 minutes the next morning for $80 — much more convenient and affordable than going offsite. The food truck by the beach was great for lunch and snacks, with friendly staff and a simple ordering system. It's ideally located near the splash park and beach, although it can get a little busy during peak times. The beach was heavily affected by seaweed, which seems to be a wider issue in the region. The hotel did their best to manage it with cleaning teams and machinery. For clearer water, we visited the nearby Akumal beach (part of the same resort) which was a 5-minute buggy ride away and much better. The pools were clean and well maintained, with plenty of loungers and lifeguards. We never struggled to find beds, and there was always a good atmosphere with music and activities. We preferred the food truck over the main buffet for lunch, but breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Evening meals at the buffet were decent, but a bit repetitive for our tastes. Booking the à la carte restaurants was frustrating — we only managed to get into the Indian once and one other late-night booking that didn’t work for us with a toddler. We think this system could be improved. The Fiesta Mexicana was a highlight — well worth the small extra cost for fun entertainment, food, and drinks in a lively atmosphere. We also loved the market area, which includes an OXXO convenience store with normal prices, a pharmacy, doctor, bar, and stalls — very handy and only a short walk or buggy ride from the main lobby. All in all, despite a few small issues, we had a wonderful holiday and felt very well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort and hope to return!

Absolutely amazing vacation!
Thank you! We had an amazing vacation stay at the Bahia Principe Grand Tulum. The whole resort (4 resorts) is very safe and secure. Very professional and polite staff. All the amenities you could ask for, and much more. We will definitely be returning for another vacation in the near future. Highly recommended. 10/10
