A Perfect Island Getaway!
My wife and I stayed at the Bougainvillea Resort from May 12 – 17 to celebrate her birthday, and we could not have asked for a more memorable experience. The resort had everything you would want in a Caribbean escape including beautiful ocean views, peaceful location, spacious rooms, and a staff that truly goes above and beyond. We were welcomed with warmth and hospitality from the moment we arrived. Roslyn at the front desk greeted us with a warm smile and some delicious rum punch. This set the tone for the rest of our stay. Natasha worked with reservations to get us a beautiful oceanfront view and continued to check in on us throughout the week to ensure everything was perfect. Temar, who was working at the front desk and concierge, helped arrange a fantastic private island tour. She offered great suggestions on what to see and do around Barbados. That tour, led by Trevor, was one of the highlights of our stay. Trevor gave us an insightful look at the history and culture of the island. He took us to some incredible spots that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. If you stay at the Bougainvillea and need a tour guide, Trevor is the man! This review would not be complete without mentioning Obadele. He made a great first impression by helping us get settled into our room and offering valuable suggestions on local experiences. Like Natasha, he also made a point to check in with us daily, which really made us feel cared for. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept. This is due to the great housekeeping staff who took care of us each day. They made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Overall, this was a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We left feeling refreshed and appreciated. This was our first visit to Barbados, and we are already looking forward to coming back. It is a beautiful island full of beautiful people. I highly recommend the Bougainvillea Resort for anyone seeking a lush resort with genuinely thoughtful service.

Beautiful Hotel , Staff and Location
60th Birthday holiday . Just returned from a 12 night stay in room 226 ( junior suite) which overlooks the beach and pools. Staff are so friendly and efficient , special mention to Natasha and Akiel ( sorry if spelt wrong ) . Pre booked hire car, taxis and birthday cake and food platters in room, all of which were well organised and wow what a cake to remember !!! Junior suite is roomy, well equipped and cleaned immaculately . Only lacks a dressing table for the ladies . Bed and sofa very comfortable and kitchen and bathroom very good also. View from this room is perfect . A/c went wrong but dealt with immediately . Bath robe missing but dealt with immediately ( delivered in a basket !) balcony was very good and we ate breakfast there most mornings watching the tide go in and out. Pools were good albeit a bit smaller than we are used to. Pool bar very good with excellent bar staff . Everything around the pool is kept immaculate and the 6 kittens were adorable . Beach is excellent but red flag was up apart from last day ( our luck !!) watersports staff are great especially Roggick ( you need more boules practice my friend , lol) Taxi service from hotel was excellent . 20 min walk via beach to the gap and oistins 25 mins via road . On site shop brilliant but please can you sell milk as nearest shop 20 mins away . Spa looked very good and kids games room looked excellent if your taking children . All round excellent holiday and highly recommend especially room 226. Thank you everybody for making us feel so very welcome . We will miss you .

Excellent
Just returned from 10 nights, excellent hotel and very efficient and friendly staff. We had a junior room overlooking the pool and sea view very lovely. Rooms very comfortable kept clean daily and fresh towels. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly especially Lizabeth very lovely lady, All the staff in the restaurant couldn’t do enough. Pool bar staff very efficient… one guy not so happy not naming names but he really needs to cheer up not the right person for happy hour, saying that he is excellent at his job. If I had to complain the restaurant menu is the same day in day out… really should switch it up every few days. Saying that there is Google so we went into the Gap with plenty of choice, we ate at the Harlequin good food and lovely staff. Reception staff are very efficient from booking cabs - restaurants- trips lovely people. I highly recommend this hotel

Comfortable, cozy, and clean hotel.
Excellent smaller hotel with impeccable service. The staff were so friendly and genuine like most of the wonderful people of Barbados. The room we stayed in was large, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant was good and we even got some entertainment with dinner. Really enjoyed our stay.

A perfect resort for first time visitors!
My husband and I just got back from our first visit to Barbados and we can’t wait to return. The resort was perfect for first time visitors. It’s in a quieter part of the island, but you can grab a taxi or try the bus to go into the various towns. We walked to Oistins for Friday night Fish Fry (definitely go if you can). We had a one bedroom penthouse and it was absolutely perfect! Only complaint is I wish it had more trash cans. There were only small ones in the bathroom, but none in the kitchen, that we could find anyways. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and we never had an issue with air conditioning. We ate most nights at the onsite restaurant and never had bad service. Swim up bar was great and the bartenders were always so friendly! Unless you’re on the first floor, assume you will not be able to grab a chair by the pool. They were always gone by 8am. But there’s plenty of chairs and umbrellas on the beach and we had no issue going back and forth between the two. Seaweed/sargassum was hit or miss, depending on the day, but there’s plenty of beaches up the west coast to visit (check out Carlisle bay!). Not the resort’s fault and you can see clean up crews each morning trying to clear it out the best they can. There are no elevators, which we didn’t mind, but worth mentioning in case you need to request a lower level room. Overall, we had a wonderful time and are already planning our next trip! PS - We were obsessed with the cats that randomly roamed around the resort!
