    Amazing 50th birthday!!

My husband and I went to Couples Negril for the week of my birthday (October 8th). When we first arrived, we were welcomed with a cold washcloth and champagne. After a short briefing about the property, we were lead to our room. I will be honest, the rooms and buildings are dated. While the room was disappointing, it was still ok because I thought, “We are not gonna be in here that much anyway” so it was ok. The refrigerator was well stocked and nice and COLD! Listen if a beautiful beach is what you are looking for, look no further! The beach is clear, calm, and sooo beautiful. There are two sides to the beach, one with clothing and a nude beach. The nude beach is sectioned off by a fence and bushes, BUT if you walk that way, you can easily see everything if you know what I mean LOL! That didn’t bother us though and everyone was so unbothered and respectful. Now for the restaurants, I don’t eat pork, so I was happy to see for breakfast that Cassava had Turkey bacon. All my husband did was tell one person that it was my birthday and it seems like the whole resort found out LOL! In other words, the resort is small and very personable. It’s like I got a birthday song and a special treat for the rest of the week in every restaurant and I didn’t even have to tell them it was my birthday. My husband is vegan and he was able to meet with the chef in every restaurant to cook something just for him. All the staff is nice, but I got the following people’s names because they always went above and beyond: -Donna from Cassava Restaurant. -Dean Reid from Cassava Restaurant (When he saw my hubby and I, he already knew we wanted a fresh coconut water and ice cold water. He sent that to our table every morning for breakfast. We told him the first day and he was on it thereafter. -Ieakea in Cassava -Daneco from Cassava -NiQweshia Haciendo -Jedeen in Lychee -Lesa Front Office Manager -Latoya in beach services.. These people ROCK!!!! Thanks for making this 50th birthday full of amazing memories

Enjoyed our stay overall but improvements needed

We stayed here in October 2024 in the Deluxe Oceanfront room and were put in building 6. The room was nice, a corner room with nice views however not much of a view of the Ocean - more like a garden/beach view. The resort did meet our expectations - summary of positive and negative points below. Positives: Food was really good (especially Otaheite and the buffets) Main pool was big and the swim up bar was fun! Lots of sunbeds so plenty to pick from Beach and ocean were very nice Comfy beds and essential toiletries provided Negatives: Not enough restaurants for the resort - seemed there was always one closed each night which left only 3 to pick from. The room did not block out any sound - you could hear the entertainment loud and clear when trying to sleep - earplugs definitely needed! Staff overall were nice, but we occasionally felt like an inconvenience to them when asking for drinks at the bar/ordering food etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay - we only stayed for 1 week before heading over to another resort and definitely think 1 week was enough due to limited choice of restaurants.

    No Mistakes

The best part about a Couples experience begins at the airport. After you go through the lines, mini-problems, and looking for luggage, you simply walk out the door, look for the "Couples" sign and then stroll over to a smiling face who takes charge of your baggage and assigns you a Red Stripe. Instant Vacation! Check in was a little problematic in that the room wasn't ready, but with a glass of champaign in hand, it was. In fact, due to our being there for our anniversary and were upgraded to a better view. As they were refurbishing the block, there were a couple of "hicups" that required attention, but they jumped all over it to accommodate. One was a chair that was broken, and the other was a refrigerator that was unplugged and only had hot Stripe in it. To remedy, the assistant manager had a new chair instantly brought in, plugged in the refrigerator, and then brought in iced beer to ensure that all was taken care of. From that point on, we were asked if there was anything that could be done further. In other words, they take care of problems instantly and completely as that is what Couples Resorts do. Couples Negril is not an exception. We have been to Jamaica multiple times and was married there 26 years ago. We have stayed at all the Couples except one. This one perhaps is the best of the three due to being smaller, having better food, greater access to restaurants, and an easier access to the facilities. Not saying the others were bad, just saying that there are smaller differences. The beach and water is just as good as Swept Away and has an addition of a nude side with its own bar. I might say that the pool bar isn't as social as the one on the end of Swept Away with it's music, but it is what it is and due to all the clientele having to utilize that one pool, it is what it is. It does have a smaller, isolated pool over by the water sports that even has a hot tub, but it is simply that, isolated. By the way, there are plenty of towels, plenty of places to put those towels down, and really no need to go out at 6am to lay out towels to save a spot you won't come to use until noon (really, why does anyone do this?). They do a great job of taking care of the property, it is clean well maintained, and the employees take pride that they work there. Everyone who works there smiles, acknowledges you, and does their best to treat you well. They work hard to make your stay the best you've ever had and correct even a problem that perhaps you've made up in your mind that is a problem. In other words, you can't make a mistake in coming here.

Best all inclusive resort for the perfect vacation

We were delighted to return to Couples Negril for a 6th visit! The stunning resort is set amongst the trees along the beautiful beaches of Bloody Bay. We enjoyed everything about it; the delicious food particularly the fine dining at Otaheite; the amazing drinks with top shelf liquor, the wonderful housekeeping staff who kept our room beautifully clean and tidy, the kind and obliging staff who go over and beyond, and the many all included activities. A special mention about the tennis program which is far superior to any other all inclusive resort we have visited. A visiting tennis pro runs free clinics/lessons/round robins each morning and afternoon, Monday through Friday. Private lessons can also be scheduled with the resident pro Kevin. Couples Negril is very fortunate to have a tennis pro of his caliber as he has the credentials and experience far beyond what you find at resorts. The resort offers the best all inclusive experience for a perfect vacation. We especially enjoyed the fact that it is a relaxing environment without loud music constantly blaring throughout the property, like many other resorts in Jamaica. We can’t wait to return.

    2nd time was a charm!

We just returned from our 2nd 10 day visit at Couples Negril, and you always worry a bit if it will be the same or as good as the first visit! Well, it definitely was, actually, even better. Beautiful beach, clean rooms, excellent food and drinks and most importantly amazing staff! I'm already talking about our next trip in 2026! We would like to return every other year as we want to visit other destinations in between! Relax, book it, and enjoy!
