Amazing Trip at Estrella del Mar
**My Review of Dreams Estrella Del Mar** I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dreams Estrella Del Mar for 3 nights, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. My room was a Preferred Club Junior Suite in the adults-only building, and was the perfect choice for a relaxing getaway. The suite itself was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a separate sitting area but what truly stood out were the stunning ocean views right from my room—absolutely breathtaking. The resort features 358 rooms, each with an ocean view, ensuring that every guest enjoys the spectacular scenery. The expansive private beach, stretching 3 over miles, felt like my own personal paradise—no vendors, no nearby public access—just pure, uninterrupted tranquility. Preferred Club stays come with added perks, such as private check-in, a spacious lounge to enjoy drinks and snacks as well as one round of golf at the 172-acre, 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.—one of the best in Mexico—and one hydrotherapy circuit at the Dreams Spa by Pevonia®. The spa itself is a 1,800-square-foot facility offering a full-service salon for manicures, pedicures, hair & skin services, a hammam treatment space, a hydrotherapy circuit including steam & sauna rooms, 8 treatment rooms, a Wellness Suite, Party Suite, and Bridal Suite. One of the major conveniences of this resort is its location. It's only 10 minutes from the airport, which is small, making getting through customs and immigration a breeze. This proximity also made excursions into town incredibly easy to access, allowing me to explore local attractions like the Observatory, The National Whale Museum (NUNMBA), and the historic city center with its unique cobblestone streets and European-influenced architecture. Other nearby tours include ziplining, ATV tours, sport fishing and boating adventures and more. The service from the staff was impeccable, attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The food quality was nothing short of amazing, with each meal offering something delicious and fresh from one of the 8 restaurants. The Coco Cafe offers coffee and snacks 24/7 and the ice cream parlor is perfect for a cool treat. I also have to give a special shout-out to the mocktails—they were on point, offering perfect refreshment under the sun. For a truly special experience, *La Cava* offered us a private dining option for up to 12 featuring a five-course chef’s table dinner with 300 wine selections, making it a memorable culinary journey for a special occasion. Families will find plenty to enjoy as well. There are 2 family pools, a kids' splash pad ideal for children 10 and under, two waterslides and a lazy river that adds fun for all ages. There are kids club options for ages 3-17 featuring crafts, movie nights, sand castle competitions, video games, ping pong, and even pinball. The resort also offers two tennis courts, two professional soccer fields, a multifunctional court, four padel courts, and six pickleball courts, ensuring that there’s something for everyone. Additionally, Dreams Estrella Del Mar is adjacent to the Turtle Sanctuary, open seasonally, and is perfectly situated for whale watching during the winter months. The resort is also a gated community, offering an extra layer of security, and features 24/7 medical services and its own helicopter pad for any urgent needs. Whether it was lounging by the adults-only pool, enjoying the exclusive amenities of the Preferred Club, or simply soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the ocean, my stay at Dreams Estrella Del Mar was an absolute dream. It’s the perfect resort for multi-generational families and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking local flavor and tradition while staying in luxury, emphasizing relaxation, and top-notch service.
