  Hyatt name but not yet Hyatt Standards

  If you’ve stayed in a true 5-star hotel, you’ll quickly see that this isn’t one. Overall satisfaction for me was somewhere between average and good. Check-in was slower than it should have been, though there were some nice touches like a welcome drink, cool towel and crisps. The biggest let-down was the staff. I understand peak season is busy, but that doesn’t excuse rudeness. Too often I felt spoken to and looked at as though I should be grateful just to be there, which isn’t what you expect from a supposed luxury property especially with such a high price tag. We paid extra for the “Preferred” level. If you don’t, you’re very limited, especially when it comes to food. Even with Preferred access, though, the value is questionable “all-inclusive” still doesn’t really mean all-inclusive nor does preferred as branded drinks, for example, were still charged as extras, which was quite shocking given the premium already paid. Basic services were inconsistent too. Something as simple as requesting an iron and ironing board before housekeeping came turned into a frustrating process of being sent in circles. The facilities for teenagers were also underwhelming. On the positive side, the location is fantastic right on Playa Dorada, which is a beautiful beach I’d highly recommend. The hotel itself has potential, but inconsistencies let it down badly. Even lifeguards gave mixed messages day-to-day about what the kids were allowed to do. Ultimately, the staff attitude overshadowed the nicer moments, and that stays with me. For now, I wouldn’t return. The property has only recently joined the Hyatt brand, so hopefully Hyatt can bring the improvements it desperately needs.

  Good hotel but not 5 star.

  I had a 4 day stay with friends at this hotel. The location is perfect! A few minutes walk to the Marina and direct access to the promenade. I was in the ‘club preferred’ room which entitled me to a free mini bar (restocked daily) and access to all the pools. The pool areas were lovely, my friends and I used the adults only pool daily. The hotel is big but spacious. It didn’t feel crowded. The breakfast buffet was ok but not 5 star. It was a standard buffet and there were plenty of options but it was crowded, and noisy. Lunch time food options were limited. I was on a B&B basis. We end up going out for lunch most days to places along the promenade. It’s definitely not 5 star, and for the price I’ve stayed in better but it was a good option for a short break.

  Memories were made

  Wonderful Memories were made in Lanzerote at an exceptionally glorious hotel. Amazing staff all round & service of excellence throughout our stay.

  Great family stay

  We had 10 nights as a family of three (daughter age 6). We had a fabulous stay, we love the location of the hotel and space within the complex. The food was just ok, like most AI. The staff are FANTASTIC all around the hotel. It is very clean. The animation team are particularly good, Valentina, Pablo and Alfonso do a great job, my daughter loved joining in the pool play sessions. Would definitely stay again, would love to do B and B but they don’t make it economical, seems to be pushing for AI which I understand. Many thanks

  Perfect Holiday in a perfect Hotel

  We stayed for ten nights in August 2025 we have been to Playa Blanca about 9 times over the last 15 years usually with our children at different hotels This hotel is really lovely In a perfect area with the beach close by to the right and the marina to the left ( as you go out of the gate on the promenade). The new restaurant's and shops on the 5 minute walk to the marina are a great addition we stayed in a preferred room with sea view It was spacious with a lovely big balcony The positive's -- All staff are extremely happy and helpful and work so hard nothing is too much trouble The hotel and its grounds and pools are kept very clean and tidy All The restaurant's serve good quality food and plenty of choice The whole experience was wonderful and very relaxing The only one negative was as much as it is nice to be served we felt like we had to keep asking for a drink in the restaurants as appose to helping yourself as has been the case in other hotels This would not put us off going again But at times it was a bit annoying to keep asking for a glass of wine in the restaurant and the quantity poured was so little you felt like two mouthfuls and you were asking for more That said the quality of the wine and all drinks was a very high standard Thankyou to all for making it a perfect relaxing holiday
