Great time at Dream Vista Cancun
We were just at the Dreams Vista Cancun from 9/26-10/1 for my wife's 50th birthday and this beautiful hotel did not dissapoint.Upon arrival they took our group of 19 to the preffered club lounge for check in.This is where we got our best drinks. All the liquor here is premium and the bartender Miguel is the best.Alfredo,Juan, Luis and Orlando were very helpful in organizing my wife's private dinner for 19 at the rooftop and setting up tables for us to be able to eat together throughout our stay. The private dinner for 19 for my wife's birthday was the highlight of our trip. We were all very happy with the decor and the setun. Verygrateful for everything they did for us throughout our stay. The private dinner for 19 for my wife's birthday was the highlight of our trip. Water Park Lifeguards
Carlos and Apolonio were amazing lifeguards. I spent much of my time at the water park. These two were very welcoming and kind. While we did have conversations, their attention was always directed towards the safety of the children. Thank you so much!

Maybe this was a 5 star hotel 10 years ago!
Floors were dirty, bathroom was as well and had a dead plant in the room as decoration. A/C not properly working on arrival, no snacks in the room. Room door stuck when trying to open and close, and when the housekeeper used a dirty towel ripped in half tied to a broom stick to clean water off the floor and proceed to use it to wipe the wall and vents in front of us, I was flabbergasted and wondered why this is listed as a 5 star hotel?! Not to mention the roaches on the counter at the buffet!

Avoid the Hyatt Folks
So we went for our anniversary trip in March 2024. I will talk about good, alright, and bad. The good: First things first the resort staff from checkins to dining and bar was amazing. Would recommend preferred club as rooftop lounge is great and the preferred lounge check in staff and process was awesome. Upon checking in we had a plunge pool suite however they surprise upgraded us to an ocean view corner suite that blew our minds. Room was very clean and updated. Lots of fun activities and walking distance to ferry to isla mujeres (highly reccomend) The okay: the beach is smaller but close to the bar and good service. There could be better lawn chairs. There are activities however the surf simulator is really only opened for an hour a day and it is lessons so be ready to wait in line. The vendors while friendly will price gouge you I mean we bought a luchador mask for around 20 usd to see the exact one isla mujeres for 5 usd. Also not sure if they are outside vendors or if they are actually part of the resort because saw them taking the items at the end of the night up to a top floor in the elevator. The bad (reason for 1 star): so the reason for the one star is the bad was so bad it basically ruined a lot of our trip. We were told over and over again if we did this your and presentation showing off the resort and others for two hours no hastle no pressure than we could get $200 to go play golf. We got there did the breakfast and presentation. It went over which was no big deal but after politely refusing like 3 different people to make a decision that day the lady who did our presentation told us we should be ashamed of ourselves for taking a presentation and stealing money from her since we didn’t want to buy but did the presentation. I told her this was something I made clear many times I had no interest in buying and I was interested in the club just didn’t want to make a large financial decision while on vacation. Looking back I think it was a last ditch effort to bully us into buying into the vacation club. I have never been to a timeshare or hotel club sales pitch before this and will never go again after. Also because Hyatt allows their sales people to talk to customers who spend thousands of dollars to come and stay at their hotel I won’t be staying at any Hyatt hotels again in the future. In my 30+ years on the planet I have never seen someone talk to a customer who was being so kind to them like that. If it wasn’t for this we would have probably brought our kids back the next year.

This is an awesome all inclusive resort for a family vacation. The spa experience is a must for the adults in the group. You will not be disappointed.
