Gume was the sweetest most hospitable person in the breakfast room. He remembered my name and was so pleasant every morning. The resort overall was lovely but particularly the staff were amazing, it feels like people genuinely enjoy working here and that makes a huge difference.

Extraordinary service experience
Wanted to give a shout out to the veranda team lead by Gume who went well beyond to make our family feel welcomed. They provided excellent service to make our meal time experience delightful.

Nov 02, 2025We felt so welcomed by everyone… except one person.
The Posadas chain has always stood out for its excellent service, beautiful facilities, and, of course, its outstanding food and beverages. We’ve had the pleasure of staying at their hotels in Cancún, Los Cabos, and now Puerto Vallarta — which has been one of the best experiences overall. The food was fabulous, the rooms spotless and well-equipped, the views breathtaking, and the location simply perfect. However, before highlighting everything wonderful, I do want to mention a disappointing experience we had with Adán, the cook who was attending the buffet on Saturday, October 25th. When I approached the grill, he was chatting casually with another guest while I was clearly waiting to be served. He took longer than he should have, and when I finally asked about the types of meat available, he answered — but when I extended my plate asking for beef, he ignored me and instead served another guest who had arrived after me. That moment felt very disrespectful and unprofessional. Later, I asked him if there would be more macaroni, and he said he would check. I waited, but he never came back, so I served my daughter what little was left. When I returned minutes later to ask again, he finally went to look, but when he came back, he did not even acknowledge me — he simply served the food without a word. That kind of attitude does not reflect the values of the company, nor the level of service Posadas is known for. Later that evening, while dining at the Japanese restaurant, I mentioned this situation to Israel, the wonderful chef there. To my surprise, my husband shared that he too had been treated with little courtesy by Adán earlier that day — confirming that it wasn’t just me. It’s a shame that one person’s attitude can momentarily tarnish the excellent work of an otherwise exceptional team. Because truthfully, everyone else made our stay unforgettable: • Israel, the Japanese restaurant chef, created one of the best dinners of my life (I even loved the tuna — and I usually dislike tuna!). He is pure talent and kindness. • Tomás, from the same restaurant, was equally amazing — kind, attentive, and professional. • Jennifer, from the Kids Club, was incredibly supportive and thoughtful, helping us with activities, reservations, and even our check-out details. • Jony, the pool waiter, was always attentive, making sure we had everything we needed every single day, offering suggestions and great energy. I sincerely hope the hotel management recognizes the great effort of these team members — and ensures that every employee, including Adán, truly represents the values that make Posadas such a special and respected brand.

I wasn’t expecting this!
If I could add six stars, the staff would get seven. The experience at Fiesta Americana is clearly outstanding because of their people. I was always offered first class services and attention. Loved that. People there is genuine and kind. I will definitely be back soon. Kudos to Ignacio, Rafael; Marcos, and Rosalío.

Fantastic Service
Highly recommend upgrading to the Fiesta Club - great perks like access to the adults only pool and breakfast on the veranda. The breakfast was excellent!!! Rosalio and the team provided unforgettable service, we were very happy with our time here.
