  Book it! Amazing time!

  What an amazing trip, where to even begin? We will likely never go back to Mexico after this. Can’t wait to return here. •Grounds, beach, pool are beautiful, the new renovations look great, the underground cave is amazing, gazebo to watch and feed the fish was fun! •Beds and pillows are very comfy, shower was great! •Staff here are all very nice, friendly and genuinely want you to have a good time. •As food lovers we loved the food, so glad that we got all inclusive. The international buffet was our favourite. If you don’t feel like sitting at the restaurants you can get lunch to go as well as dinner to go at the rum house bar. I recommend the branzino fish, it was SO good. If you do have allergies or intolerances ask them to switch things for you. A-lot of ingredients were not listed so ask them to be specific, such as sesame seeds on fish, red and green pepper was never mentioned anywhere and i’m allergic. •Bus stop is right outside the resort and is easy to use. •Really good mix of ages and all walks of life. Everyone was very casual which we liked, some other resorts had formal dress codes(not our thing) Bermuda is not a party destination, so luckily there were no obnoxious loud drunk people as you would find other places. Even the few kids we saw were pretty calm. •To address the mobility issues that some reviews talk about: Yes there is walking and stairs, like the rest of Bermuda most resorts are on hillsides. I don’t think people knew there were multiple ways to get up and down though. There IS a long staircase but there is also a separate paved path that is much less steep, and much fewer stairs. We were not told this when we checked in, another guest told us. My partner was also helping some seniors carry their luggage down the stairs. The front desk should be offering to do this via golf cart. They actually instructed us to go down the long stairs with two large suitcases to get to our room, instead of telling us there was a shorter paved path. We noticed a few wheelchair and walker users getting around ok so when booking tell them you need the most accessible room to everything. They will also bring you up and down via golf cart. I myself have severe joint/muscle issues, was i sore at the end of the day….yes, but did i survive….yes. It wouldn’t keep me from going back.

  Stairs, stairs, stairs

  The view from our waterfront room was perfection!! That being said, food was not greatest, but breakfast was very good! Beach bar area had a very good burger and the fresh salmon salad very good! I heard so much about the music and stayed around till 9:30-10:00 and saw 5 minutes of music but once? Rooms are tight - nowhere to put your luggage and plastic floors?? Very odd? There are also 58 very narrow steps from our room to the front desk where breakfast and dinner are served with old tree branches for the railing? This alone would have been a NO to this resort! Our phone in the room never worked and to call front desk, I’d have to call from my cellphone and they said they would have it fixed - NOPE 👎 tomorrow is a week and phone is still broken? 4 days into the trip our keys to the room no longer worked? I called from my phone and said they would be right down? NOPE, 40 minutes later my husband walked the 58 steps and got new keys and back down and neither key worked - called again and they finally came down with keys? The beach was very pretty, color of the water was so so beautiful! I will not be back at this resort for the crazy amount of stairs to get to and from anywhere! Waitstaff were lovely especially Dwayne and Tez!!

  A wonderful Experience

  We couldnt have had a nicer time at Grotto Bay Beach Resort. The location was convenient, the newly remodeled hotel is beautiful, the pool area and pool bar are lovely. The grounds are kept in pristine condition and the rooms were very clean, All of the support staff was more than friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was superb! We will defininitely be back!

  Amazing place to stay, 5 out of 5!

  5 out of 5. Our first trip together to Bermuda. We were on our baby moon. The staff and service was outstanding all weekend long. We stayed Thursday to Tuesday. AJ at the front desk, checked us in and was a great start to our stay. Lisa at The Natura Spa was unbelievable - best massage of my life hands down. We did the breakfast package and received great service every morning. Above and beyond. The Dive Shop was super nice, I snorkeled the shipwreck right off the beach. Swimming in the Prospero’s Cave each day was very refreshing (just jump right in, you get used to the water quickly) and was very revitalizing. We will definitely be making a return trip to Bermuda, which will be extra special once we have the little one in tow! Thank you for making our trip so memorable and taking such great care of us!   Good choice for Bermuda with Family.

  First time staying at Grotto Bay. Super convenient from the airport in less than 10 mins. Room was nice enough, bathroom was really small and tired and the flooring in the room was a vinyl textured material that felt cheap. Bed/pillows were comfortable. Walls were very thin and we could here all conversations (and more) of our neighbors quite clearly.. Grounds are really beautiful and the cave is pretty amazing to enjoy. Pool is on the small size for the size of the resort and the hot tub was silly small. Beach is beautiful. Staff is all really great and friendly. All inclusive add on is worth it even with the weak menu selections available particularly for dinner. We ordered a pizza as an app to make up for the lack of selections available. Breakfast buffet was good with ample choices available. Lunch outside near the pool is good as well. Bar area and entertainment was good as well. Be aware the resort has many many stairs and narrow paths. If any of your party has mobility issues that may be difficult to overcome.
