The SPA at Gratto
The SPA is horrible. Ruined my planned intimate moment with my wife. We requested a female massage therapist for both. They called me half hour before our SPA to tell me they only have a man messages therapist. Offered me a discount to use a man massage. We had to cancel. Our whole trip was centered around this SPA. Unprofessional. Never seen a SPA so limited with choices that they would ruin a couple’s massage session 😡🤬

Cave Swimming
Swimming in the cave was a once in a life time experience. Incredible beauty and fun. The water was cold but so worth it. We were able to get some nice pictures. We already posted our pictures on-line and have friends asking “where was that” as they can’t believe how beautiful that experience would be.

Convenient and fun
Five minutes from the airport. Nice staff. The place is having work done but that didn’t get in the way of the fun. Beach bar is convenient. Water is calm. Rum bar is small and restaurant seems less than exciting. But walkable to swizzle inn (sidewalks) and Saturday night with DJ Bubbles was very fun Property nicely maintained but not fancy

Really enjoyed our time at Grotto Bay
Really enjoyed our time at Grotto Bay. But warning - if you have walking problems please avoid as it is on a hillside with lots of steps. It is scenic, with lots to do - the main pool, the beach, kayaking, tennis and more. The grotto with cave pool and atmospheric stalactites was interesting. We chose all inclusive so knew we had no more costs beyond that. The food was excellent. We enjoyed our favourite Pina Coladas. An incident occurred when we were hit by the tail of a hurricane so rain penetrated onto the floor in a few rooms including ours. The staff worked late to prepare other rooms for us so we could move quickly. It became more of an adventure than an inconvenience. Full marks to Rob the general manager and his crew. He checked we were OK the next day. We were given a week's bus pass with our all inclusive booking, so were able to explore the island by bus and ferry which is the way to do it. Lovely beaches, nice walks, crystal cave with stalagmites and stalactites at the top of the hill, aquarium/zoo, Naval dockyard. This was our 4th visit in the last 10 years. We hope to return.

Great Experience
I'm not exactly someone you would call "well-traveled" outside the continental United States. A few years ago my girlfriend convinced me to step out of my comfort zone. We have since been to St. Thomas, St. Lucia and most recently Bermuda. We always stay at all-inclusive resorts. Grotto Bay is hands down our favorite thus far. VERY clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was good all three meals each day. Cocktails were plentiful and properly made. I would suggest this resort to any and everyone.
