    Themed after Jamaica's fabled children's character Anancy the Spider. Borrowing from the witty spider made famous in Jamaican folklore, the new children's play area is modeled after a village concept with buildings ablaze with a mosaic of brightly coloured hues guaranteed to enliven the senses of young visitors. Anancy and his friends form the central theme around which activities and learning programmes planned for children aged three to 12.

    Your children will have the time of their lives as they create puppet shows in Tacoomah Hut, enjoy cold refreshments in Patoo's Lookout, get creative in Artsy Kraftsy or listen to captivating stories in Tacoomah hut.

    At the Anancy Children's Village, children will have the opportunity to learn more about Jamaica in a safe, fun and captivating environment.

    The Anancy Children's Village at Half Moon, A RockResort includes shaded play areas, activity rooms, a wading pool, sand box, expansive outdoor play area with each activity supervised by a well-trained coordinator.

    The Anancy Children's Village at Half Moon accepts only children that are fully potty trained aged 3 - 12. Families with children who are not potty trained can take advantage of our Nanny service and have nannies escort children to the Anancy Children's Village.

    There is also plenty for older children too including tennis clinics, volleyball, nature walks, golf, squash, horseback riding and water sports galore.

    Certain non-motorised water sports are included for guests staying at Half Moon. The included activities are snorkeling, kayaks, pedal boats, and beach floats (lilos).     Looking for luxury, friendly staff and beautiful grounds then Half Moon is your place.

    My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Half Moon. We booked this trip somewhat last minute and we are so happy we did. Everything was wonderful. We stayed in the ocean view eclipse room, which we liked a lot. I'm glad we chose this room vs. staying in the main guest house which means you would be above the bar/lounge areas. The staff is what makes this place great, easy to understand and personable. We have traveled to many places and would put half moon along the same level as a four seasons. It was a bit warm in July but there was enough of a breeze and the room's AC worked great. On our honeymoon we stayed at the sandels in Montego Bay and 25 years later we are so glad we were able to afford a nicer resort. We are planning on return with our children (high school and college age) in a couple years.

    Top quality hotel in Montego Bay area

    We have stayed in majority of hotels in Jamaica, from Negril to Ocho Rios, and Half Moon possibly provides the best service. They also have two of the best restaurants in Montego Bay. Rooms are well designed and quality built, very clean, housekeeping is on pint twice per day. Great pool and pool area. Nice gym, great SPA. They really have everything you might need for quality, relaxing vacation. It is not a busy, party hotel, but if you are looking for quiet place with great service and quality amenities, then it is definitely the place.

    Awesome

    We had the best experience this time in Jamaica that we’ve ever had in the past because of the half moon resort and the two best butlers anyone could ever ask for. Sasha-Kay and Dean are rock stars. They should be promoted immediately to a management position because they understand customer service better than anyone else we’ve had in Jamaica and that also includes other resorts around the world. Also included it at are the bartenders at Lester‘s. special thanks to Darren and Rorie. One other note, I was most amazed that is singly. The most managed bartender I’ve ever seen was Orville at Spice. He can handle the whole Bar and Cabana’s and not even break a sweat.! Thank you half moon you have a great staff from top to bottom. It was the best experience we’ve had in many many years.

    Half Moon - the people make it perfect

    Such an incredible experience. We visited Jamaica and Half Moon for the first time in July '25 to experience it and prepare for my son's wedding there in February. The resort is perfect. Beautiful grounds, pools, and rooms. The food is incredible. My favorite was the beach barbeque. WOW! The Spa is top tier. But what really sets Half Moon apart is the people and level of service they provide. The staff from the housekeepers to the IT techs all the way to managers go out of their way to ensure you are enjoying your stay, have what you want and experience no problems. Even when it is not their job, they will stop and help. I had an issue and an employee from a completely different department with no obligation to assist, stopped and took time to make sure I got what I needed. He waited and would not leave until the problem was solved. I have never experienced such a commitment to service and dedication to customers. Half Moon took our breath away but the people will have us coming back.
