    Only issue at the hotel is team restruant need to get it together only akala alone cant be one person who make sense

    Overall experience 8/10 the resturant staff is not welcoming of Jamaica Guest Big up the only Staff in the resturant that was welcoming From Get go was Ackala big up yuh self ! Tevin at the lobby bar you always serve us professionaly and even though we told him to serve the white guest first since they are in a hurry he give us the previlage because we were first he even went as far as to invite us back ! Tevin and the other lady at the lobby bar you did well you can move to blue waters in trelawny

    Truly Unforgettable Experience at Royalton Negril

    From the moment we arrived at Royalton Negril, we were blown away by the stunning views, warm hospitality, and overall luxury of the resort. The entire stay was seamless, relaxing, and truly one to remember – made even more special by our incredible butlers, Kadeam and Dorrett. Kadeam and Dorrett went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. From personalized touches to thoughtful surprises, they made us feel like royalty. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail were unmatched. Whether it was arranging dinner reservations, or simply checking in to see how our day was going, they were always one step ahead. If you're considering a stay at Royalton Negril, I highly recommend upgrading to the Diamond Club service – and if you're lucky enough to have Kadeam and Dorrett, you're in for a real treat. Thank you both for making our vacation so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

    Relaxing, hotel, but in need of a refresh.

    There’s a lot to say about this hotel, some incredibly good and some not so good. Transfer We travelled with Nexus and it was certainly an experience we’ll not forget. Our driver was rude, dangerous and scared me half to death and she got pulled over for speeding by the police! Accommodation After a long flight from the UK and an eventful 1hr 40min drive to the hotel, I was very much looking forward to the upgraded Diamond Club experience. We were met by our lovely butler Gregory, who took us to our room and the first thing that hit me was the state of the lift (see photo). It had stains everywhere, the doors, the floor, the walls, rusted and pretty grim for 5*. The lift broke down on three occasions during our stay, so we tended not to use it. The room was really lovely, whirlpool jacuzzi, rainfall shower, sofa, 2 televisions and good sized balcony. Really lovely toiletries, well stocked bar and all the little extras to make you comfortable, air con lots of fresh towels. Robes and slippers and if you forget your toothbrush don’t worry they’ve got you covered. Food Really excellent buffet, in fact it was my favourite place to eat as the seafood was abundant and delicious. The dining experience was wonderful, even if we were the only couple there, definitely worth the extra fee. However, the food in the other restaurants was a bit hit and miss, lots of pasta not available on one night and a table opposite us had some very upset children as there was no pizza due to the oven being broken. Food was sometimes a bit lukewarm and this was sadly a running theme in more than one restaurant. Drinks The staff at all the bars are friendly and will make anything you ask for. If they can’t make it they’ll try their best to offer something close. There was some stock issues pretty much everyday, but this is not the staffs fault, and we just worked with what they did have. Cocktails are great, and if you like non alcoholic they’ll make these too. Our beach waiter service was totally above and beyond Shamila went the extra mile, bringing us food from the jerk hut whenever she saw us at lunchtime. The complex does need a refresh, it is dated with peeling paint on the buildings. We had no hot water for 2 1/2 days, beach beds have few mattresses, pool tiles are broken in places (not badly, but noticeable), but the beach is kept beautifully clean and there are lots of loungers and sadly lots of early lounger reservations! But don’t despair there are lots by the beach, the water is clear and warm and lots of crab, rays, small fish and creatures to spot. There is a burst beach next to the diamond club, but unless you’re snoring by the barrier and have super eyesight I don’t think it’d cause anyone any issues :)

    Amazing Entertainment, But Service and Food Need Improvement

    Overall, my experience at the resort has been mixed. The buildings and facilities could really use some TLC to enhance the guest experience. The variety of food was very limited in some restaurants, which made it hard to fully enjoy. Plus, at times, the food was overly salty. I’d recommend going lighter on the seasoning to better balance the flavours. Unfortunately, the service from some of the servers wasn’t as welcoming. At times, it felt like we were bothering them when making simple requests, which made us feel more like an inconvenience than valued guests. On a much more positive note, the Entertainment Team, especially the Vibe Team was truly outstanding. They are the heartbeat of this resort and the main reason guests return. A very special mention to Lady Tanaye (also known as Star Fire), who is the Soul of the Entertainment. She connects with both adults and kids, brings energy and warmth, and gets everyone involved. The rest of the team follows her lead, and it makes a huge difference. Without the entertainment, especially Lady Tanaye, I honestly don’t think guests would come back, given the current level of service elsewhere.

    Intimidating, unpleasant experience for a costly family holiday. Beautiful Beach, Terrible Experience

    I will be honest I usually take reviews with a pinch of salt, due to exceptional hotels we have stayed at and bad reviews. However I do not want the same families having the same experience we had so wanted to share my honest, unpleasant experience. We’ve just returned from a two-week family stay, and sadly, the experience fell far short of expectations. This is marketed as a 5-star resort, but in reality, it’s closer to a 3-star at best! Entertainment: Evening entertainment for children was very poor—boring and repetitive. The hotel runs on a one-week rotation, so if you're staying for two weeks, you're watching the same acts again. There was very little to keep call engaged in the evenings. Service and Staff: Service was one of the most disappointing aspects. On multiple occasions, staff told us they had run out of items, only to serve the same things to other guests straight after. Around 80% of the staff were extremely rude, unfriendly, and at times intimidating. We would be ignored often, or drinks orders taken and they would just walk off and not return. My husband and I genuinely dreaded going to the pool and sports bar in particular due to the atmosphere created by staff. Food and Drink: There were frequent shortages throughout our stay. Drinks at the pool bar were often unavailable and, when they were, tasted like dishwater. The mini bar was rarely restocked unless chased, and room service regularly arrived with missing items. If you're hoping to dine at a speciality restaurant, the only times available were after 9pm — far too late for families with young children. The hotel’s app, used for booking restaurants and services, never worked during our stay, forcing us to make bookings in person which again were no good after 9pm. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Chicken bones were found at the bottom of the pool on several occasions — a serious hygiene concern. We also experienced sewage smells from our room and noticed several leaks throughout Building 3. Pros: The only positives were the beautiful beach and the spacious, well-designed rooms. Overall: This hotel is nowhere near a 5-star standard. Poor service, lack of cleanliness, limited food and drink options, and an overall lack of care make this feel more like a 3-star resort, at a push. We would not return or recommend this hotel in its current condition and will certainly not be returning. This is not the usual standard for a Royalton.
