Jul 23, 2025Extremely Disappointing Diamond Club Experience at Hideaway Royalton Punta Cana – Not Worth the Price or Hype
We stayed at Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana (Diamond Club) expecting a luxury experience, but it turned out to be the most stressful vacation we’ve ever had. There was no proper welcome or check-in, and the Diamond Club lounge was closed. We were given the wrong room type, missing key amenities like toiletries, welcome kit, sparkling wine, and slippers. The room was not clean and lacked basic essentials. Vegetarian food was a daily struggle despite multiple requests. Staff communication was difficult due to language barriers. Room service was slow, often incorrect, and facilities like air conditioning and pool cleanliness were inconsistent. Many Diamond Club perks, including minibar refills and aromatherapy, were either unavailable or not provided. Despite raising repeated complaints to management, including Jeifry and Marlbin, nothing was resolved. Promises were made but never kept. We spent nearly $5K for 7 nights and left deeply disappointed. This experience has shaken our trust in both Royalton and the Marriott brand. I would not recommend this resort—especially not for Diamond Club members or vegetarian travelers.

Jul 23, 2025Fantastic 30th Anniversary Getaway!
We had a fantastic time at the Hideway! The rooms were clean and all facilities were spotless and well maintained. We had many food options and enjoyed a variety of restaurants for dinners that we enjoyed. Our reservation time was always prompt and food was delivered quickly. There was a wide array of fruit and snacks always fresh and available. One of the highlights was our daily visit to the coffee shop for excellent iced coffees and gelato! The service was exemplary - definitely a 10 out of 10. Denis, our butler, met us on the first day, oriented us to the room and all facilities and then checked in with us each day. Never intrusive and always available, Denis helped with everything from booking dinners, to excursions, to hotel transport. Denis’ careful attention and hard work on our behalf really made our 30th anniversary trip special - we never had to worry about or manage a thing! Also, Jennifer our lobby day bar hostess, is an absolute gem. She greeted us every morning, knew our coffee order right away, and has a great energy snd smile. She made each start to the day “excellente”!! Another key factor to the success of the trip for me was safety. I saw many women travelling solo, and I also felt it is a resort that instills a sense of safety and comfort. We would definitely visit again!

Amazing vacay
Had Ana amazing time! The resort is clean and staff super friendly. I would like to give a special shout out to our butler NELIO! He’s thoughtful, understanding and extremely attentive to the needs of the guests. He made everything seamless and fun. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

I wrote this review, without reading any other previous reviews.
I've been to Punta Cana many times before and got used to picking resorts with no expectations. This resort actually made my wanna come back. The staff was extremely friendly, from top to bottom. My room was clean, fridge was always stocked, and never had an issue with hot water. Ray and the crew in guest services went above and beyond in explaining resources and activities that are available (dont be shy, and ask). Oscar and Martha at the hideway bar are friendly, prompt, and offer great service. My last stay there, I started booking the next trip, before my plane departed Dominican Republic. If you didn't know by know, I will be returning soon...!

Very friendly resort!
We had a great experience at the Hideaway Royalton Resort, the staff's was very nice. I want to personally mention Dennis, our assigned butler, demonstrated remarkable attentiveness to my family's and my needs. He was very proficient in arranged reservations at our preferred restaurant, this gave us a wonderful dining experience️. I appreciate Wellington Recendez for his assistance with our airport transportation, worked hard to make sure that that we made it to the airport 3hrs. ahead of time. Last but not least, l mention Wilmi Segura, the excursions planner, offered us unbeatable deals on all our excursions, we had an excellent vacation
