Lovely hotel with poor service
The hotel is lovely and the ocean views are really beautiful. Most of the employees that we have met have been friendly. Unfortunately we have had negative experiences, including shockingly high prices and poor service. The breakfast buffet, for instance, cost $89.00 US dollars per person. We ordered one fried fish sandwich from room service. It was small and came with some mediocre french fries. That and a bottle of water cost $56 US dollars. They charge a $15 delivery charge. We ordered room service twice. The other time was a salad and pizza for two of us to share. The pizza came in a standard pizza box. They did not give us any plates to put our food on. When I asked the server he seemed surprised that I would want plates, but he said he would go get the plates. He never came back. With both orders I asked for sparkling water after they asked if I wanted still or sparkling, and they repeated the order to me when I placed the order. Both times I received still water. The second time this happened I called and they said they’d send the sparkling water. It took so long that I just asked for a refund and she asked,”You never received it?” I had asked for an extra plate on the sandwich order and they didn’t bring it. I asked for a glass of milk and the server informed me when she arrived that they didn’t have any milk. The coffee maker in the room is espresso only. I needed milk. The creamer packets don’t cut it with espresso. Housekeeping never came to clean our room while we were out on a five hour tour. We got back to a note from housekeeping saying that they noticed we did not want to be disturbed so did not clean our room. I called and asked about it and they said that we have to hang the sign on the door stating that we would like the room to be cleaned. There was no sign to hang on the door. He said to look on the table, the table on the balcony?? and in the closet. There was no sign. In lieu of cleaning, I asked if I could just have coffee pods and creamer restocked. I said I was tired after our tour and would like to have a cup of coffee. He said he’d have it sent up. After about 45 minutes I called and he said he’d have it brought right away. Another hour and 15 minutes went by and I called again. He said he’d already called them twice and would call again. About 15-20 minutes later they brought it. My husband asked if they had oat milk for his coffee at breakfast on the second day. The server said yes and that he’d get some for him. He never did. The television is not convenient as you can only page through each channel and there is no program guide. You have to get into the shower to turn it on. All this being said, the hotel does have a transit lounge where you can take a shower, drink water and some coffee offerings in a machine, and generally relax and wait for your room. The pool is very nice, but the water is too cold for me to really enjoy. It’s a shock to get in and then I never got really comfortable in the water. With the humidity and warm temperature, it was more appealing to stay in our room, rather than staying by the pool. There is no jacuzzi, either. I ended up taking a bath in the room. The poolside staff is very friendly and they have ice cream bars to purchase. The swim up bar is nice if you can tolerate the chilly water. Drinks and food may be ordered poolside. The restaurants were fully booked for dinner except for the brasserie, so we didn’t get to try the Italian or Sushi restaurants. We opted for room service. Small, seemingly harmless beatles will fly into the room if you open the balcony doors for more than a minute. Close them quickly. We had four of these that required a catch and release! Even then we realized in the morning that we had missed one. There is a shopping center conveniently located just a short walk across the bridge to the other side of the highway. The hotel is close to the airport and the cruise port. Most businesses in Papeete and neighboring towns are closed on Sundays. It’s a very nice, pretty, clean hotel. The breakfast buffet that we ate on the second day was very good. It was included as part of our Hilton Honors membership. The first day it was too early to check in so we had to buy breakfast on that day. A family with children arrived in the room next door and the sound was very loud in our room. I heard their loud conversations, showering , washing dishes, playing, shouting, moving the furniture around several times, etc. The walls are not at all sound-proofed.

Wonderful Massage
My partner and I stayed here for our first part of our honeymoon. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were so kind and lovely. We had just got married in Las Vegas so it was a well needed rest for our honeymoon. We went for a massage at the hotel spa, and it was by far the best massage I’ve ever received. (And I’ve had many in my life). We both opted for the Polynesian massage. But they had so many to choose from, which all sounded divine! The lady that massaged me was called Maeva (I think, as I can’t understand the writing). She was brilliant! She also gave me an amazing foot scrub to take with me which worked wonders! My husband had an Aloe cream that made our skin feel like silk. Can’t recommend this spa enough! Beautiful inside, and a wonderful massage to start our honeymoon!

Beautiful property with great amenities
Pleasantly surprised! Large, tastefully decorated property with a gorgeous lobby, 4 restaurants, large gym and an inviting pool, with complimentary towels and sunscreen. Swim up bar and drink/snack service at the pool. Beautiful sunsets over the water with Mo’orea in the background. No swimming in the ocean here, however. We didn’t have breakfast but dinners at Taitea and La Strada were both good (although Strada was pricey and we left hungry - still worth it for the gorgeous view with underwater lights to watch the fish). Hotel attaches via covered walkway to a mall with a food court, a restaurant and grocery store. Free parking, although looks like it could fill up. Didn’t use the spa or participate in the daily “cultural class” at 10am. Room and bed were comfortable with strong AC, loved the bathroom and shower. Great toiletries. Includes an espresso maker, kettle, fridge, iron, safe (no microwave or milk for coffee). Had a little deck with a table and chairs and a sitting area in the room. Tips - ask at the lobby bar to reserve a seat on the terrace for sunset! Get to the pool early to nab a chair, they fill fast.

25 year wedding anniversary
We are currently finishing our three night stay and hotel is beautiful food was decent but I'm not going to lie they didn't make us feel special we chose this hotel over another local we had the all-inclusive and have been on many resort vacations including sandals which are very expensive we had to pay if you wanted breakfast $50 for person that's never happened when I paid $15,000 for a vacation from sandals as soon as you get there they tell you to go eat. I didn't expect them to roll out the red carpet but really there wouldn't have been any acknowledgment unless I said something. The first from the gave us we had a palm tree after I specifically asked to be placed in higher road which got changed. Check-in was kind of on the slow side although we did get a room by 1:00 I'm not saying this is a bad Hotel but they could have been more caring. The staff were outstanding very good but maybe it's their hotel policy and since we are from Canada not so important

Hit and Miss
We spent a night here before going to Mo’orea. Greeted by the lovely Lola, friendly bar staff at the lobby bar and “ocean view” room overlooks the bay the barges and ferry port. It was a lovely room though for a nights stay and had a great full breakfast outdoors. Spent another night here before heading back home and we loved San (Japanese restaurant) and enjoyed watching a sunset on the dock there’s some misses. There was no coffee in the room and even though I’m a Diamond it’s not acknowledged since I booked this night through Chase. If I was crazy enough we’d have paid $55/pp for American breakfast. No thanks. Spent $25 for great croissant/sandwich and mocha/coffee at the lobby bar. No late check out available but opted for the transit lounge $50/pp since they offer lockers, showered, lounge and refreshments. Called the desk for a porter and none came after 20 minutes so my husband came down and there were two standing around, they’re weren’t told. Got to the transit lounge, no keys to many open lockers, refreshments is just water and coffee. Supposedly all keys were taken. I asked for our money back - wanted to store valuables and change of clothes while we enjoyed the pool some more, so useless. Nice pool, views of Mo’orea.
