Beautiful location but some disappointments
We recently stayed in Hilton Tulum and had a mixed experience. The resort in itself has great views, modern spacious rooms, golf cart for ease of navigation and multiple pools. We were disappointed with lack of variety of food, sloppy in room dining with limited options and no walkable beaches. We were however happy with their kids club. The staff does a wonderful job with entertaining kids.

First time and wonderful.
We just came home yesterday from our first visit to Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya! From the time we stepped off the shuttle, we looked through the beautiful lobby and saw the waves of the ocean. Our concierge Eduardo was absolutely amazing throughout our 7 night stay! We were able to checkin quickly and taken on a mini tour by Eduardo on our way to our room. The resort is extremely beautiful with a gorgeous ocean view and vegetation. Our room: absolutely beautiful and spacious with plenty of storage space! Large balcony with chairs. Always had hot water and the pressure was unbelievable, the shower was very enjoyable after a day in the sun and pool. The restaurants: We ate at all the restaurants and food was amazing! We met so many staff members that it is hard to remember their names (sorry)😢 The staff work so hard and we truly appreciated all of them❤️ Last but not least we recognize that the hotel atmosphere and amazing staff is always inspired by the management and we want to THANK our dear friend Salvador for always making our vacations so special. I highly recommend this resort for a wonderful experience.

Great family stay across the board. Few tips and opinions of our experience.
Had a wonderful trip to Hilton Tulum, great resort with wonderful staff. The highlights of our trip include: 1. All restaurants were great, favorite was Italian with close seconds as Asian and Mexican. Seaside was an awesome lunch spot, 2. Maria at Seaside was amazing as a server, should out to her and that aguachiles+habero combo. 3. Victor at La Luce was phenomenal, should out to him and the experience we had! 4. The resort is great for beach views, everywhere you go had a great view of the water. They maintain the resort excellently across the board. 5. Servers were all very helpful and friendly, although they could do with a few more at each pool (especially pool 6). We found pool 2 as the most enjoyable due to being a great view, near a restaurant and had a lot of fun entertainment. 6. Room was great across the board, got an ocean view room in casa 6. We enjoyed walking around the resort as it was relatively easy to make it around, but transportation was never more than about a 5 minute wait. 7. Tons of wildlife which our son (6) loved. Came home with roughly 50 photos of iguanas. 8. The Conrad spa was phenomenal, highly recommend getting a treatment or just book to hang in the pool area. WARNING: Do not trust booking with CalypsoTrip, the partner Hilton chooses for their transportation. They mishandled our pre-booked transportation to the airport and were incredibly unhelpful when trying to get to the airport. Made our departure very stressful and about missed our flight. I suggest booking with another company if you are needing transport from the airport to Tulum.

Avoid this property
Avoid this property. There were no meaningful activities offered, and the food was both disappointing and extremely limited in variety. Shockingly, the only buffet restaurant was closed for dinner on all weekdays during our stay. The guest relations team was completely unresponsive—we experienced multiple issues from the moment we checked in, including dirty rooms, a broken air conditioner, a non-functional mini fridge, blood stains on the bedsheet, and rude, unhelpful front desk staff. Despite raising these concerns, no one made any effort to reach out or provide any support. If you don’t want your vacation ruined, stay elsewhere.

Save your money.
Honestly sub par compared to other all inclusives in the Riviera Maya region. The food was awful here! Just really sub par. The only restaurant we somewhat liked were the teppanyaki one and the Mexican one. The workers were great though, and honestly the best part of the resort. It smelled like rotten eggs everywhere, and some of the pools were unusable due to the smell. I’ve been to the Cancun Hilton, and it’s MUCH better. Better food, better options, and shared a spa with the Waldorf Astoria. Don’t waste your time and money at the Tulum resort - it still has so much work to do on itself.
- AdvisoryThe state of Quintana Roo will be charging a sanitation tax of a minimum $76 Mexican Pesos (approx. $5 USD), per room per night. This amount is not included in your vacation price and will be collected at your hotel. This fee is subject to change at any time without notice by the hotel.
