Bumped for a butler
We are currently staying at Xcaret Mexico on the expansion opened in July. The hotel is beautiful, the food so far has been good. The service has been abysmal. It started with the ridiculous wishlist for reservations, which we filled out and sent in. We got our reservations confirmed after multiple emails. Then the fun started. We arrived and spent 2+ hours on the check in process which provides an illusion of movement. After dodging 2 time share sales pitches we finally made it to our room. It was lovely. We are here for fall break and my birthday. My wife had booked a dinner reservation for my birthday at Ha’ timed so the kids could hang out at the kids club while we had a leisurely dinner. 2 days before the front desk called to say that something had happened and they had to move our dinner to just before the kids club closed. We told them that wouldn’t work. They then preceded to tell us they could put us in other restaurants and refund our money for Ha’ (Michelin star restaurant). They would not relent. It felt like we got bumped so someone who had a butler could have our spot. You can’t deal with anything over the phone. You always have to walk up to the concierge and deal with them in person. It always comes with another attempt to sell you a time share. At this price point no should mean no. They appear to have their restaurants open to public and don’t reserve spots for their clientele spending $1500+ a night. We will not be back.

Excellent service and great atmosphere
Big shoutout to the awesome bartenders at The Flamingo, Brayan, Nayeli, Eleazar, and Gustavo Angel for always providing great service and good vibes! On Gustavo’s recommendation, we decided to check out Monarca, and we’re so glad we did. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, and our server Orlando made the experience even better with his friendly attitude and excellent knowledge of the menu. You can really tell he takes pride in what he does. Overall, both spots, The Flamingo and Monarca are definitely worth visiting. Great people, great energy, and top-tier hospitality all around 😃

Amazing Service at Xcaret
Impeccable service and attention to detail, from the decor of every space to the food presentation. The food was excellent with variety and accommodation for allergies. The service we received from our staff in Casa Fuego was excellent. Thank you Alejandro, Bani & Julieta for making our stayed so special! We will definitely return!
