    Lovely hotel near the beach

4 star hotel in great location and just one street back from the beach. Nice public areas, pool, and plenty of seats and sun loungers Given glass of cava and chocolates at check-in, which is a nice touch. You are given a wrist band with a disc which is used to enter your room and to check in to dining room, order drinks etc. Good choice at breakfast. we decided not to have dinner as I'm not a fan of a buffet. You can opt for b&b, half board or all inclusive (but there is a limit on the number alcoholic drinks you are permitted) There are a number of daily activities organised by the events team, and a show every night, which was actually and surprisingly good. They also organise various sports and fitness classes - spinning, yoga etc and there are 3 padel courts and 2 tennis courts for hire (€20 per hour including bats & balls) Staff all very friendly & efficient. Rooms fairly basic but clean & comfortable and good shower (hairdryer not the best) Lots of activities for families with kids, so there are a lot of families with kids at the hotel, so expect a bit of noise. I feel the hotel could benefit from having maybe a family wing and then a non family area/adults only area. We could hear kids running about out in corridors early in the morning, and the rooms are not very well soundproofed, as could hear neighbours on their balcony too. One huge bug bear for me was all the smokers right outside the front door of the hotel, so you often had to navigate them and walk through clouds of smoke, I feel the smoking area should be away from the front door as it's not very pleasant at all. There is a spa and indoor swimming pool too which we didn't use, and a small gym. All in all, nice hotel, but if I was returning to Palma Beach, I'd probably choose to stay in Selection Playa de Palma across the road, which i think is adults only. Overall we had a really nice stay.

    Fantastic family hotel!

Went as a family with kids (3 and 4), parents and grandparents and absolutely loved it! The hotel and pool was lovely and really well located for the beach and cafes, the food was great and drinks were plentiful! But what really made the stay excellent were the staff who were all so friendly and so helpful and really made us feel welcome. I normally don’t go for the entertainment in hotels but Lucas and the animacion team were so good, we were all joining in! They were also absolutely fantastic with the kids and they always had something to do. We had a perfect holiday and I would definitely recommend it!

    COCKROACHES!!!

COCKROACHES!!!!!! I just woke up in the middle of the night and turned on the bathroom light to a huge cockroach scurrying around the room where my children were sleeping!!! We are leaving in the middle of the night with two small kids. Note, we were transferred to this hotel after staying in another Iberostar and complaining about the conditions there. The other hotel only transferred us after coercing us to sign a disclaimer that we will not post any negative reviews; an illegal and meaningless document. AVOID IBEROSTAR, PERIOD!!!

Fint hotel men fik stjålet penge fra mit aflåste værelse

I stayed at Iberostar Cristina from April 14 to 18, 2025, and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience during my stay. Upon arrival, I discovered that the in-room safe was not working. Despite this, I placed my wallet and passport inside the safe and trusted that the room itself would be secure. On two separate occasions during my stay, cash was stolen from my wallet – a total of around €110 and 400 Danish kroner – while I was away from the room. I reported the theft immediately, and the front desk promised to investigate, but later informed me that the hotel could not take responsibility because the money was not stored in a locked safe. This seems highly unreasonable, especially since I had no option to secure my valuables due to the malfunctioning safe. I have also had to cancel and reorder my credit cards, as I cannot be certain whether my card information was compromised. The hotel offered a room upgrade for a potential future stay as compensation, but I do not consider this a fair response given the financial and personal inconvenience I’ve experienced. I am disappointed that a hotel of this standard does not take greater responsibility for the safety and property of its guests.

    Magnificient Staff

I spent two blissful weeks at Iberostar Waves Cristina and did not want to leave! Many thanks to all the wonderful attentive, efficient, hardworking, friendly staff. What an incredible team they all are. A huge credit to Iberostar Waves Cristina. It's five stars and more from me! I was treated very well for my whole stay. Huge thanks in particular (sorry if not got names exactly right) to Marta with blonde curly hair at reception who welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at ease when she said "We will take care of you here" and she was absolutely right, Blanca for her patience and kindness, Josef who always had a happy smile on his face and was extremely attentive and caring, Ramon who looked after me when I took migraine - he was a superhero coming to my rescue, Mariana the chef for letting me know which foods are gluten free and arranging for delicious gluten free desserts, also the male chef and other female chef I am so very grateful for your kindness too, all the kitchen staff for their hard efforts in challenging hot conditions, cheery wait staff who were so friendly, Sylvie and the rest of the reception team who were very helpful, Marie the Manager for her thoughtfulness and attention to details and other lady Manager (sorry I forget your name) I was so delighted when you made me up a name card for my table and the gentleman with dapper suit director I think always smiling and welcoming in the dining room ensuring everything is perfect. Thanks also go to the housekeeping team for their hard work. I loved the delicious food in the restaurant and especially enjoyed the live traditional dancing from a lady and gentleman on a few evenings whilst eating. The music and dancing before me really did bring a tear of happiness to my eye. I was amazed at the choice of milk at breakfast and so happy to have almond and soya milk. Great selection of tea bags. Tip for everyone - the handles of cups are small and very hot so please remember to use a saucer or a plate. Great there was a carafe in room that you fill up at water station in corridor. Often it would run out but just behind the lifts down a corridor there was another station. I did find the ground floor station always seemed to be full to fill up any water bottles. There is such a happy, relaxed buzz about the hotel at all times. Really felt a cosy atmosphere with all ages and nationalities enjoying themselves. Room was bright and spacious with plenty of wooden coathangers. I had 12. I prefer radio to television and was delighted plenty of radio stations on offer to listen to on the tv. I mostly listened to Melodia FM. Many British programmes in another language but I found a button at bottom of remote control which turned it back to it's original version. I got to watch The Mentalist, Death In Paradise and The Mysteries of Laura with Debra Messing. I attended the yoga sessions and loved them in the cosy spa area. Thanks to the lovely blonde girl from Ukraine and also the other female who took over from her. It was her first yoga class and she done a grand job! I took part in table tennis too which I thoroughly enjoyed. Being a solo traveller it is always good to have people to play it with. Evening entertainment was great. My favourite was the fantastic soul singer on the casino night. He had some really nifty dance moves. Music quiz, bingo, flamenco dancing, circus acts were just some of the attractions. Big thanks to all the animation team. Kids really seemed to enjoy themselves at the Star Camp. So much for them to do. Great there's a climbing frame etc outside and good to see in keeping with the whole care for the environment from Iberostar you could leave toys in a box for others to enjoy. Just like the bookcase in the indoor theatre area. I like the fact that there's plenty of areas for wheelchair access and those with mobility issues etc with ramps and space for wheelchairs in the bar area/indoor theatre. Plenty of blue disabled parking spaces too which are always hard to come by. The paddle tennis courts were always busy just past the car park of hotel. Great to watch. My first time on a balinese bed and it felt like luxury. So comfortable and relaxing. There is a whole row of them and plenty of round large couches nearby. I visited the 5 star Iberostar hotel across the road and also another 4 star nearby to see what their entertainment was like as by the 2nd week I had already seen the acts at this hotel on my first week. I only stayed a few minutes in each. I noticed there was not the same friendly vibe that this hotel - Iberostar Waves Cristina had. I felt so grateful to be staying here. I would highly recommend Iberostar Waves Cristina to everyone. You are guaranteed a fantastic holiday. I enjoyed it so much I will definitely return. In fact from the very first day of my arrival I felt like I wanted to come back again! That is all down to the incredible team of staff, variety of delicious food, sporting activities, entertainment, friendly vibe and spacious room. On that note I would love to get the same room again if it is possible at the time of booking. I liked that the palm tree leaves shaded me from the hot sun on the balcony! See you all soon, take good care
