  Excellent

  The experience was awesome. The Butler service (Armando/Houston) were excellent and made a great impression on the entire welcoming process. We were pleased with all of the staff and many were exceptionally helpful and friendly: Betty (housekeeping) and LeBron (many duties observed) as he represents well and as a Butler he would met the challenge. No concerns regarding the facility but I recommend the following: Upgrade the furniture and decorate many areas that are used by the guests. The toilets are too low as the ADA toilet requirements are 17-19 inches. Finally, an orientation upon arrival regarding additional amenities (utilization of the other properties). Excellent in many areas as agreed upon when purchased.

  Another perfect Iberostar experience

  My wife and I visited the JOIA Bavaro late May early June. The place was very nice and the food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten at an all- inclusive. Make sure you request Junior for your butler if you can. He is a very personable assistant and will see that your every need is met! He and his counterpart, Valentin arranged for a beautiful rose pedal evening celebration for my wife and I to celebrate our 46th anniversary. The entertainment team is a blast. Make sure you say hi to Jacinto wherever you find him, behind the pool bar or out on the grounds. The foam party is a great time, make sure you look for it at the pool on Fridays. Don’t miss the Gala event at the buffet on Thursday night, it is the best display of seafood, sushi and desserts you could imagine! The beach unfortunately had a lot of sargasso seaweed but the resort did all they could do to remove it. Bali bed game is real, so if you want your favorite location you will need to get up early to mark it. Overall, this is a great resort made much better by the people that work here. The beach is still amazing and outside of the sargasso season is one of the best in the world!

  We had a pleasant stay. Our butlers Armando and Houston were excellent! They took care of all of our needs and even went the extra mile with a birthday surprise!

  Unforgettable 35th Anniversary at Iberostar JOIA Bávaro!

  We just returned from the most incredible stay at Iberostar JOIA Bávaro, and I can’t say enough about the outstanding service, breathtaking surroundings, and unforgettable experiences that made our 35th anniversary truly magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. A special thank you to Caesar, the manager, whose warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were second to none. He made sure every part of our stay was seamless and enjoyable, always checking in with a smile and genuine care. The highlight of our trip was the romantic dinner on the beach—an experience we’ll cherish forever. Edy curated every moment with such thoughtfulness and grace. From the candlelight ambiance to the delicious food and impeccable service, it was the perfect way to celebrate our 35 years together. Each morning started on a bright note thanks to the lovely woman who prepared our eggs with such joy and kindness. Her warm smile and friendly energy made us feel right at home and reminded us that the heart of this resort is truly its people. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to making our trip exceptional. Iberostar JOIA Bávaro is more than just a beautiful resort—it’s a place filled with heart, hospitality, and unforgettable moments.   Great vacation...Very Accommodating and Relaxing

  This resort was a great experience for our whole family .We were celebrating my wife's and 2 children's birthdays along with Father's Day. From the wide selection of incredible food to the daily events, all the way to simply saying hello, the environment was welcoming, kind, peaceful, and the perfect respite from the craziness of a world that can feel too fast sometimes. I normally don't write reviews because everyone's idea of a good experience is different, In this case what we experienced seemed was shared among many others staying at Joia Bavaro by Iberostar. Bottom line they get it and understand hospitality is about people and making you feel like a guest in their home. Do things sometimes get missed or overlooked?...Sure but they are quickly taken care of with a genuine smile.I say this coming from working in the hospitality industry for over 40 years. I can truly say all of the staff were wonderful, but there were some key people that made the experience first class and so memorable that not mentioning them would be a sin. First and foremost, Marcus and Ancio (Waooo and Smiley, their nicknames) were the most kind and genuinely fun people i've met in a while while stay at a Hotel. Whatever they are being paid, it isn’t nearly enough.Next up is our butlers for the week, Junior and Jesus whose first sentence when the saw you was what Buenos Dias..what can I do for you today? My wife and I had some special requests during our stay and they used their magic to make it happen. All 4 of them set the tone for the entire trip with their amazing personalities. I also would like give a shout out to Liedy and Kimberly and the rest of the Star Prestige Lounge crew that made check in and check out seamless and carefree were always available to assist with anything. Lastly I can't sign off without mentioning the fantastic Star Prestige Beach Bar mixologist team of Augusto and Malyerix. Now, of course, everyone was amazing, but those Iberostar Team members stuck out above the rest, and made it a vacation to remember. So much so My starting planning a girl's trip back in the next couple of months on the flight home :) MikeG
