    Don’t trust AAdvantage, trust Roshsne & Christopher

    Christopher .Rushsne my butlers at Joia. So we had a week booked in an ocean front butler suite. Paid in full through AAdvantage/hotel. That’s American Airlines travel program. We are platinum Pro with American Airlines, so basically we have very high status. We showed up on our arrival day, the hotel did not have me name. Here we are in another country, hotel booked and paid for, and we are told we don’t belong. Imagine that feeling of sitting in the lobby on hold with AAdvantage and not knowing what you will do for a place to sleep. Well the hotel told me they only have 2 nights available here if I want to buy them, but then I would need to find another place. AAdvantage was no help at all. They said they can cancel my reservation and refund my money I. 2 weeks, and I would lose my miles for booking through them! I now hate AAdvantage, and we have status. Imagine if you didn’t have status? So we booked and paid again for the 2 nights. The next day we spent trying to find another place to stay while trying to enjoy our first day in paradise. Around 4:pm a huge man knocked on my door. His name is Rushsne, he is a mountain of a man. He tells me he is my butler. I told him to go away because I don’t care about butlers or this freaking resort. My anniversary is ruined and I’m trying to find a place to live. 30 minutes later on our way to find food, Roshsne finds me in the hallway and says they would like to offer me the presidential suite for a huge discount. I’m shocked and I. Disbelief, and I tell him we will think about it. So my wife and I talked it over and decided to come out of pocket the money to buy it. Mind you we are $10,000 out of pocket on this 5 day stay now. Then Roshsne tells me he can get me privileged access also for my stay. He stocked my room with everything I requested, then broke my heart and told me it isn’t his building, but his friend Christopher would take care of me. Boy was he right, I ordered room service through Christopher, things not on venue and I had them, my frig was always stocked, bar always full. These two men turned a terrible event into one of my wife and my best trips to the Caribbean. Thank you Christopher and Roshsne for fixing the mistakes made by a billion dollar airline. AAdvantage screwed their status customers in another country, Roshsne and Christopher fixed it! The Scotts

    Perfect resort in Jamaica!

    We came here with another couple and were concerned about the aftermath of 2025 hurricane that hit the island. This Ibrrostar resort had no issues at all! Staff is nice🍾👍. Our butler service was outstanding and very attentive. I would love to come here again next year!

    Experience was great! Our Butlers Andre and Alain were quick and professional. The showers are nice but would have lived a little shelf would have made just storing toiletries easier. The restaurants are open at weird times but the buffet is absolutely amazing.

    The weather didn’t play ball, but the efforts of the staff made for an excellent time!

    We stayed for 7 nights, and although the weather didn’t cooperate, we had a great time. Alain (one of our butlers) made a special effort to ensure we had everything we needed. He organised a beautiful decoration of our room for my wife’s birthday, and was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. All the staff were extremely nice, and the whole place had a great vibe.

    Our Awesome Trip to Iberostar Joia Montego Bay

    We needed to escape a very long cold Canadian winter and we chose one of our favourite countries Jamaica. We decided to go and support the folks in Jamaica who were recovering from the recent hurricane. Joia is a five star resort in all respects. Food is incredible. The beach is a great walk. The pools offer everything. And then there are the room butlers. We had Omar and Christopher as our two remarkable butlers. These two fellows were there for us day and night assisting us with every room need we had to reservations, just everything. We will not return to Joia without booking a room with a butler again. Bottom line - come visit this very special place in Jamaica!
