Kimpton is a great property and the staff is unmatched
Great stay at the Seafire. Oceanview room was wonderful with great view of the ocean and beach. Complimentary coffee in the morning and wine in the evening was a nice touch Poolside chairs and cabanas were readily available. The hotel has a good fitness room and three very good restaurants. We ate in all and food was good. The staff and service at this property was amazing! Among the best service we have ever experienced at a resort. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and all have an uncanny recall of your name and your likes and dislikes. We will definitely return!

Our 7th or 8th stay here. Still the best hotel on the island, Why 4 stars? I compared this stay with our previous stays and I see some changes and not for the best. Hopefully its just small hiccups since we came right after Christmas/New Year madness, and hotel and stuff needed time to adjust. I will not list things that we like. You can read all about them in thousand reviews posted here, including some of mine. So here are things that we didn't like. Upgrades, when they mention at the check in that you are "upgraded" make sure you verify where the room is located. If it faces north, it is not an upgrade. You will not see the sunset from the room and room that we had, has a weird frosted glass wall between bathroom and the room, so if you want to turn on the light in the bathroom at night, your entire room will be illuminated. Who came up with this design, I have no idea, but this is the first time we had room like this during our many stays in Seafire. Shower head is not rain shower like in other rooms we had previously and the pressure is weak (we were in room 915). Food quality on the beach... it was never great, but it got worse significantly. And even the menu offerings shrink somewhat. It is interesting that the beach restaurant has better food variety. Same applies to frozen drinks.. Just don't order them. Waste of money. Get a beer if you like but not the frozen drinks. Seafire is known for go far and beyond in customer service, and to be honest they still one of the best in the industry, but some things don't last forever. Last stay were were given free breakfast even though reservation was done by our daughter who is Dimond member. This time, they said she needs to be present so we can get free breakfast... We ended up using Groove cafe natural, that is located 2 min drive or 15 min walk. The best casual cafe on the island. Some stuff members were,, how to put it.. not very nice. In one day we were seating on the chairs Infront of cabanas watching the sunset and the attendant asked us to move since we did not reserve the cabanas.. Really? at 6PM where everyone is gone? We were just trying to watch the sunset seating at the first row of chairs on the beach.. with no one around us.. and this guy had a power trip.. Hopefully just an isolated incident.. Will we be back? Of course! We still love this place and the beach is still one of the best. Just need to be mindful nothing lasts forever..

Amazing way to celebrate a birthday
Reading all of the reviews on here my expectations for this resort were pretty high and I'm pleased to say that the Kimpton Seafire exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Truly a lovely experience from the moment we stepped out of the cab on arrival day to the day we left and the whole porter staff sang happy birthday to me on our way out. My partner and I spent 5 nights at the Kimpton Seafire at the beginning of December to celebrate my birthday. Every staff person we encountered was so kind, the resort was immaculately kept and the room was quite spacious. They truly make you feel so welcome here. The beach is stunning and we never had any issues getting beach chairs or chairs by the pool. If you drink be sure to grab a drink (or two!) at the Library By The Sea. The service is wonderful and cocktails are so well curated. Loved all of the water toys included in the amenities fee. We took advantage of the paddle boards, water trike and snorkeling gear. Having Redsail right next door was a great perk for planning additional activities. Thank you to everyone at the Kimpton Seafire for making my birthday a truly memorable experience! Can't wait to come back.

Unmatched hospitality and a stunning stay!
The Kimpton Seafire is easily the best resort in Grand Cayman. The property is beautiful, but the staff is what makes it special. Alex (Pool and Beach Supervisor) and Mariyon (Breakfast Head Chef) were standout stars - so accommodating and helpful throughout our entire visit. They really turned a great vacation into an unforgettable one. Highly recommend!
