  Breathtaking!

  NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Kimpton is truly one hotel you will never forget. From the five-star service to the delicious food to the cleanliness to the incredible views overlooking Cayman’s crystal clear waters! Its location as-well is just amazing! Close to restaurants, other resorts, stores and the famous seven mile beach!

  Beyond Expectations — A Family Vacation to Remember at Kimpton Seafire”

  I had the luxury of staying on property at the Kimpton Seafire for seven nights in April. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a private concierge and offered champagne for the adults and cold drinks for the children — a wonderful welcome after traveling. Our private concierge, Mandy, gave us a personal tour of the facilities and even comped our lunch while we waited for our room to be prepared. We stayed in a family suite, which was perfect for our needs: two bunk beds, a pullout sofa, two bathrooms, and a separate master suite. The room also featured a large balcony with breathtaking views of the sparkling blue ocean. Every detail of the property was thoughtfully curated, from a chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot waiting in our room at check-in, to the Easter baskets delivered to our children on Easter morning. Throughout our stay, small but meaningful touches elevated the experience — cold grapes served at the beach, refreshing popsicles handed out at the pool in the afternoons, and complimentary iced tea. We ate breakfast daily at the Ava restaurant, which offered both a buffet and an à la carte menu. We chose to order off the menu because we prefer to eat lighter, but the buffet was beautifully presented and featured a wide array of delicious options. The Kimpton also offered daily activities, including water sports, bracelet making, and removable tattoos. My teens enjoyed these but mentioned they wished there were more sport-based group activities geared toward teenagers. One of the highlights was the daily happy hour, which offered complimentary wine and light bites for adults, along with juices and snacks for the kids. They served the same wine daily, which was delicious, and the small bites were perfect. It was a lovely start to the evening that we looked forward to each day. We chose to rent beach villas daily, although there were always plenty of beach chairs available. The beach villa service took everything to the next level, with a Yeti cooler filled with cold drinks, fresh chips and salsa when we got hungry, and either fruit or champagne depending on the time of day. Another thoughtful touch we appreciated was the Kimpton’s complimentary personal car service, available to take guests to nearby restaurants and attractions. It was so convenient and made heading to dinner easy and stress-free. Additionally, whenever we left the property for excursions, the Kimpton staff provided us with a bag filled with fresh towels and cold waters — a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that made our outings even more comfortable and worry-free. One of the things that truly set this resort apart was the personal attention we received. This is the kind of place where everyone knows your name and addresses you personally, making you feel genuinely valued and cared for. It created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and made our stay feel truly special. There are a few exceptional people I would like to recognize: • The bartender at The Library, originally from the United Kingdom, who spent a long time going through the vintage whiskey list with us — a true expert and a pleasure to chat with. • Raul at the beach beds, who is truly one of the hardest-working and kindest individuals — always bringing fresh towels and making sure every guest was comfortable and cared for. • Mandy, our private concierge, who constantly checked in on us, secured our dining reservations and activities, and booked us an incredible private excursion for the bioluminescent tour. She was attentive, responsive, and extremely competent. • Kelsey, who always made a point to visit us at the beach, making sure we were enjoying our stay and helping us with anything we needed. From start to finish, our stay at the Kimpton Seafire was pure perfection. Every team member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable. This is truly a high-luxury property where no detail is overlooked, and it has easily become one of our favorite resorts anywhere in the world.

  Beyond expectation

  We came to the Cayman Islands to visit our friends. While we stayed with them the majority of the time, we decided to stay at the Kimpton for two nights. We were told by out local friends to expect a fantastic experience, but we were still blown away by this hotel. For context, I have over 20 years experience in hospitality and it has been years since I wrote a review. However, my visit to the Kimpton really exceeded all my expectations. Yes, the amenities are fantastic, and the location/beach is perfect. Yes, the toys on the beach are great, and the restaurants are some of the best in town Yes, they have social hour and give small welcome gifts to the kids. All that (and much more) is great, and also to be expected from this caliber of a hotel. And yet, they managed to go above and beyond. The reason for that are the people working at the Kimpton. Every single interaction we had with the staff at the team has been great. It felt like every single staff member had tried to make our day special. It's hard to explain the effect of such constant, professional care throughout our stay, but it left our hearts full and made us not want to leave. So many of people deserve individual praise but unfortunately the only name that I now recall is of Stasa in the front desk. Stasa and her other two team member made us feel special and welcomed until the very last minute where we (reluctantly:) had to leave the Kimpton. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

  An Objective and Balanced Review of the Seafire

  Let’s start with the strongest quality of the resort: Service. Friendly, genuine, smiles all the time. It is the clear differentiator of the property. Special thanks to our Service Heroes: Dan, Kelsey, Elton, Beverly, Joy, Jimbo, and Kimone! Thank you! Taxis are easy to get and the Bell team is excellent. F&B quality is very good. Great breakfast buffet and Cocoloba, the beachside restaurant, is convenient and comfortable. Pool and beach quality is also very good coupled with expeditious service times. Don’t miss drinks in the Library Bar. The resort is beautiful. Sophisticated design and indigenous botanicals along with sweeping views of the pool and beach all add to the luxury feel of the property. However… We stayed during Spring Break and the property cannot handle the volume. It was probably a 100% transient week with tons of toddlers and little kids. Restaurants had lines with wait times, the gym was cramped and overrun. Apparently, adding to the volume issues, multiple outlets remained closed during peak times, adding to the bottlenecks. It felt like more could have been done to accommodate the onslaught of so many multiple occupancy stays. We would return again to the Kimpton Seafire, perhaps during an off-peak period. The exceptional service and property experience would probably be more “on-brand” during a normal time.

  Perfect place

  The Kimpton blew it out of the water. We had a wonderful family trip. This place knows how to combine relaxation with luxury. If and when we return to the Cayman Islands, this would be the only place we would stay. The staff could not be more accommodating or friendly. This hotel has set a high bar for other places that we visit. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The pool and the beach are beautiful.
