    A great place to stay

My husband and I love exploring Mazatlan This was our first time staying at the Luna Palace and we greatly enjoyed our 9 days stay here Breakfast was included in our package and because April is low tourist season, breakfast was made to order from a menu and everything was fresh and tasty. The room was clean, remodeled and included a kitchenette with a full size fridge; the beds were very comfortable.also. The grounds and the pool were well maintained The beach was lovely and peaceful, not too many Mariachi bands playing this far up the beach. There’s a bus stop very close to the resort and for 13 pesos a bus ride, we were able to comfortably travel and sightsee. Feliciano, the gentleman who works at the front entrance was very helpful with answering any questions we had especially on which buses to take. The staff in general were all very friendly and we were always greeted with smiles by the breakfast staff. This is definitely a resort I will stay at again.

Alexander’s Enthusiasm for his job appeals to people of all ages and background, We thank you for your great service!!!!

We had an amazing time at the hotel—the view is breathtaking, and we absolutely loved the way we were treated. The activities offered are fantastic, and the staff is clearly well-prepared to interact with all kinds of guests. Our kids played a game called Stronger Rivals with Alexander and they were thrilled! They had so much fun and really enjoyed every moment. Alexander treated them with great respect and enthusiasm. You can tell he truly loves what he does—he connects so easily with people, especially children, and his energy makes every activity more exciting. He’s definitely one of the highlights of our stay!

We would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

My wife and I stayed at Luna Palace during a two week visit to Mazatlan. We have stayed at other resorts in Mexico and wanted to try a new destination. We booked a room with a king bed and kitchenette, but did not choose the all-inclusive option. Upon arrival, we were met by Feliciano, the friendly and cheerful concierge, who quickly loaded our bags on a cart, whisked us through an efficient check-in, and escorted us to 7002. The corner suite had a big comfortable king bed, spacious bathroom with a beautiful shower, a balcony overlooking the ocean, and a fully stocked kitchenette (full sized fridge, two burner cook top, pots, pans, utensils, glasses, cups blender, toaster, coffee maker). Everything about the room was spotless and in good working order. During the two week stay, we didn’t encounter a single problem with anything in our room or anywhere else in the facility. The hotel is small and quiet. The pool area was well maintained and always had a choice of spots in loungers or chairs in the area, and a full time towel attendant and activity director. As I mentioned, we didn’t choose the all-inclusive package, but people we spoke with said although the choices were limited, food was good at the hotel restaurant located next to the pool. I would also note that the sister resort of Oceano Palace (about 200m down the beach) also allows Luna Palace guests to access its pool and restaurant, though we never tried it. The reason we loved Luna Palace was the beach access. The white sand beach is only steps away, had plenty of lounge chairs and palapas every day, and during our stay was very quiet and tranquil. We read in other reviews about loud “Banda” groups playing music on the beach, but didn’t really experience it during our stay. There’s lots of vendors selling foods and items along the beach, but we found them all very friendly and enjoyed the banter and wished them luck at every opportunity. There’s lots of access to delicious food and drink options along the beach and in the neighbourhood, so we never felt thirsty or hungry. We would definitely recommend Luna Palace to friends and family, and are hoping to return soon. PS…anyone who enjoys fishing…bring your rod and reel and take advantage of the jetty directly in front of the hotel! I caught three different species of fish during our short stay, and could have caught more with better lures…next time😂

    No hot water

Nice heated pool, good location, beach front, good breakfast included, week ends its a buffet breakfast. Staff were phenomenal. BUT, no hot water, not even close. Had the same issue last year. I talked to at least 5 employees and each had a different excuse. What it comes down to in my opinion is they are trying to save money. Because if you complain enough then they say give us 30 minutes and try. Yes for the last 2 days after basically threatening them I had hot water , the first 2 days none. They actually moved me from the 8th floor to the 2nd thinking that would help. One employee actually tried to make it my fault saying mexicans dont bath in really hot water. Anyways great place, its a bit old but other than hot water , i would come back

    Great hotel and location

This is a small hotel with a kitchenette and small patios. The people and service were fantastic. Our rooms contained everything that we needed to enjoy Mazatlan. It is located across from some great restaurants - Ponchos, La Catrina, and more. There is an OXXO 2 minutes away as well a a fantastic Spas across the street. It is right on the beach and the beach was perfect for looking for shells and wading. We had a great vacation and loved this hotel.Be aware that they do not have a snack vendor or a huge entrance with attendants. They also do not have a gym. They do have a beautiful pool and when we went there were lots of available chairs. That may vary according to how busy it is. We did not go all inclusive because we like to go out and experience different restaurants which are excellent. Don't be fooled by the media saying Mazatlan is dangerous... it's no more dangerous than Canada or the USA. If you go looking for trouble you will find it anywhere you go on vacations. We had an excellent time at the hotel and can't thank the staff enough for making this an excellent vacation for the 4 of us. Special thanks to the door man who was just fantastic and helpful!
