  Fantastic family vacation — would absolutely return!

  After reading many negative reviews before our trip, I was worried we’d be disappointed, especially given the cost. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all — we had an amazing time and would happily go back. The resort was super clean everywhere — rooms, grounds, pools, and even public bathrooms were constantly being cleaned. The food was great overall: the buffet never disappointed, and the Italian restaurant and Wok Wok were standouts. We had no issues getting reservations once our concierge provided a direct booking link. Wi-Fi was good throughout the property. The staff truly made our vacation special. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, fast, and attentive. Drinks were always flowing, and many remembered our favourites before we even asked. Special shout-outs to Angel (Fresco), Esmerelda (Water Park), Marcos (Italian), and Zuileika & Nicole (Main Pool). Our third-floor room had an unexpected ocean view and was cleaned daily with the fridge restocked. While it could use minor updates, it had everything we needed. The resort size was perfect — easy to get around, with golf carts available for longer walks. The only downsides were one poor dining experience at Burgers PH after a reservation mix-up at SpaceWalker, and non-working elevators in our building for the entire stay, which could be challenging for guests with strollers or mobility issues. Overall, an excellent family vacation with far more positives than negatives — we can’t wait to return!

  We recommend Nickelodeon !

  Our family came here Jan 21-28. My wife and I and our 2 sons and their families. Thirteen in total. Absolutely no complaints. Food in all the restaurants has been incredible. Buffet has lots to decide from. Service has been awesome throughout resort. Fridge was filled everyday with water, pop, beer juice and even bags of chips. Water parks are a blast. I was worried about reviews before we came but we've had a great experience. We've had no problem getting restaurants booked with the app. Just have to do it early.

  Buyer beware

  Nickelodeon Punta Cana – A Parent’s Review Negatives (the important stuff to know first): As a parent traveling with children, this resort was a major disappointment, especially given the price point and the expectations that come with the Nickelodeon brand. First, this is essentially an adult resort with Nickelodeon characters added in, not a true Nickelodeon-themed family resort. The overall layout confirms this—it clearly used to be another resort and was later rebranded. The design includes massive pillars, fountains, and far too many stairs, which is a serious issue for a resort that hosts so many families with strollers and young children. Watching small kids constantly navigate stairs felt unsafe and poorly thought out. The kids’ entertainment was extremely limited. Outside of brief character appearances, the nightly entertainment consisted of about 10 minutes per night of basic activities like trivia, Simon Says, or group dances (Macarena, Electric Slide). During our one-week stay, two nights were movie nights, which felt underwhelming for a resort marketed to kids—I can do movie night at home. The pools had zero energy. There was no music, no organized activities, and no atmosphere. Activities like tropical dance lessons were listed but never actually happened. The kids club is advertised for ages 4–12, but realistically it is only suitable for ages 4–6. Activities were extremely basic (bubble blowing, coloring masks), and while the space itself is nice—with a ball pit and an indoor play structure—it does not engage older children at all. The water park itself was good, but poorly executed. The larger slides are hidden behind a construction area, service there was very poor, and overall organization was lacking. The lifeguards were excellent, attentive, and professional—one of the few highlights. Transportation around the resort was another issue. There are not enough golf carts for the number of guests, even at only 80% capacity. Wait times were long and frustrating, especially with kids. The food was a major problem for a so-called kids resort. There were very limited child-friendly options, and staples like chicken were constantly unavailable all week. Room service was unreliable—often missing items or not showing up at all. Visually, the resort lacks the color, fun, and energy you would expect from a Nickelodeon property. It simply does not feel themed. Perhaps most frustrating: almost all kids’ activities cost extra. Mini go-karts ($10), arcade games (minimum $10), and slime experiences (up to $60). At this price point, charging extra for nearly every child-focused activity feels unreasonable and misleading. The rooms were modern but tight and narrow for a family of five, which made the stay less comfortable. Overall, we have traveled extensively with our children to resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, and this was one of the most disappointing experiences. There are many resorts at the same price point with far better water parks, kids’ programming, and overall value. At Nickelodeon Punta Cana, you are paying for the name—and nothing more. We would not return and do not recommend this resort to families.   Excellence at last

  After complaining about the food and service quality over the past 4 days to Prestige Travellers, they responded! The food and service at Sace Walker were excellent the next night! We met the manager and chef, Wilfreddy, night. What a difference!

  Camping Conditions at a 5-Star Family Resort

  We arrived on Thursday at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana expecting a comfortable, family-friendly vacation. Instead, we are spending our stay feeling like we are camping inside a supposed 5-star hotel. Our reservation is for five (5) guests, yet the room provided has one king bed and one pull-out sofa only. There is no cot and no third sleeping surface. This has resulted in three people sleeping in one bed, including a 13-year-old who is taller than me. It is cramped, uncomfortable, and completely inappropriate for a resort that promotes itself as premium and family-oriented. We did not come to Punta Cana to stack children in beds, move pillows around nightly, and improvise sleeping arrangements. This situation has genuinely ruined the quality of our vacation, leaving us exhausted and frustrated instead of relaxed. We immediately asked for a reasonable upgrade to a room designed to accommodate five guests. The only option presented was a villa at approximately $1,000 per night, which is not a reasonable solution to correct a booking issue. We booked and paid for accommodations suitable for our family size. What we received feels like budget camping conditions inside a luxury-branded resort. We are still waiting for management to resolve this properly and will update this review if, and when, a suitable solution is provided.
