    Family Vacation 2025

    We loved our stay at Occidental Tucancun!

    We were a bit nervous, as this was our first experience at an all-inclusive resort, and the reviews are so mixed. We had a wonderful time though. Excellent: Each staff member we encountered was so helpful and friendly. Food was delicious, fresh, had plenty of options for us as vegetarians, and was always served at proper temperatures. Drinks were weak (as expected) but still delicious and refreshing. Resort was very family-friendly, while not feeling overrun with screaming kids. Pools were lovely, and the water temp was perfect. The beach was spotless. Lobby sitting area was beautiful and breezy- a great place to sit with my morning tea since our room didn't have a balcony. Good: Plenty of loungers at pools. Housekeeping staff tidied up rooms, refilled refrigerator, and replaced dirty towels daily. Entertainment was offered throughout the day, and upbeat music was always on at the activity pool. Common spaces were clean and comfortable. Plenty of little shops on site, and directly across the street from a grocery store. Ok: Beds were a bit stiff, and the pillows were not very soft. Tub drained slowly (I'm sure thanks to tons of guests not rinsing off all the sand at the beach shower before coming in). Bars don't open till 11 even for soft drink service. The beach was hard to enjoy since there were no umbrellas or palapa to get shade from. Rooms could use fresh paint. I wish the south tower had balconies! That was the only thing I wish I could change about our stay- we booked the Double Room- Sea Front View. The booking said some rooms have balconies, so I requested it, but unfortunately ours did not. Bad: Nothing! I have zero actual complaints about our stay!

    Anniversary Getaway

    We just spent 4 days for our anniversary and it was amazing. We were greeted by our personal concierge who gave us an entire tour of the property. We were taken to the Premium check in where Daniela was amazing. Jorge then escorted us to our room with the bellhop where we got a bottle of champagne. From this point on the entire stay was amazing. All of the pools and bars were great. Very easy beach access. The buffet style restaurants for all meals were great. The entire customer service here was at the highest level. We will be back and I highly recommend this resort
