Family Trip with Privilege Access
We stayed as a family and had a young baby with us and had Privilege access. (Privilege essentially gives you better rooms jacuzzi or spa bath on the balcony or swim up rooms, butler service, room service at no charge 24/7, access to more restaurants, able to pre book restaurants on their app, more beach areas, more pool areas, top shelf alcohol, better check in and out, use of spa facilities for free - treatments extra charge). The hotel is very attractive looking and modern throughout. There is an ATM at the hotel but it was out of service for the 11 days we were there and no other way to get cash at the hotel itself if needed. The nearest machine to the hotel charged us $14 to use the machine and the our cards charges/conversion. A typical day out in Jamaica isn’t cheap - average full day tour can cost $250+ for a private taxi plus food out and the tour itself. The hotel offers lots to do inclusive of the price such as, ten pin bowling alley, PS5 gaming, air hockey, Uno, dominoes, table football, live shows, disco/nightclub, beach parties, children’s water park, pool aerobics. The hotel also has Virtual Reality games hub (this is an extra charge). There is also a gift shop selling Jamaican trinkets and a jewellery shop (House of Diamonds) selling anything from Pandora type charms to Rolex watches. There is a lovely coffee/tea shop with sandwiches, biscuits, refreshments (although the microwave didn’t work the whole time we were there to heat anything) There is also a spa (subject to charge and pre booking) and a lazy river (be prepared to get wet as lots of jet sprays, buckets of water come at you as you go around). The Privilege rooms were clean, offering two double beds and a sofa bed. Separate toilet from the shower area. Turndown service offered. Room Service named “Ocean Eats”tasted better than most of the restaurant food. Mini bar inclusive of price topped up daily. Good air conditioning in the rooms and reception (hotel bar is located in reception) Air con in the restaurants is terrible not strong at all sweating most days. Those staying at Ocean Eden Bay (adults only hotel next door) can enter Ocean Coral Spring so at times it can get very busy. Ocean Coral Spring guests cannot enter Eden. Many of the Privilege areas outside of the rooms are not buggy/pram or disabled friendly as they are all stairs by the pool, beach, kids park. They should have ramps so accessible to all. The food in the hotel is embarassing for Jamaica who are known for their amazing Jamaican food - this is not true JA food, the locals that work there say the food does not taste nice and I think its more geared to a multi cultural audience than to show off real JA food. Privilege breakfast was really yummy though and ocean eats room service but everything else really not good. The Jerk hut by the beach was such a let down, especially as you have to queue nearly an hour for it and the chicken was laughable. No jet skis at this hotel, you have to go to 876 beach ten mins away where you can do them there. Although there is a water sports hub - many of the water activities are not at the hotel itself. Behind and towards the left of the watersports hut there is a local market on the beach selling lots of local items and gifts and souvenirs where you can bargain and meet the locals find local excursions and tours also (this is not shouted about enough as a lot cheaper than the hotel prices). Really nice little shopping area. The service is majority hit and miss, many don’t listen and you have to keep asking for things. Very slow. One day we visited red snapper restaurant in the hotel and it took 1hr 40 mins to get our mains, one of us ended up leaving as the wait was too long. The best stand out servers to me were Keyna at the Privilege Butler Service by the pool & Sophia at the Privilege breakfast. Very attentive, friendly, kind really made us feel welcome as a family, very amazing ladies. They made our stay better. 10 mins from the hotel is Luminous Lagoon Glistening Waters (really nice evening tour) and 876 beach (weathered and run down) which is great for watersports had so much fun however I wouldn’t come here just to chill. Here you are located 45 mins from Montego Bay and 1hr 30 from Ocho Rios. I would stay again for the aesthetic of the hotel and the vast amount of things to do contained within it however the food would make me not stay again.

Proactive Managerial Team
Great Customer Service and conflict resolution. 2nd trip and would certainly go back after how the team resolved an issue with another guest. Well done

Good but not great
For a 5 Star resort, there could be some improvements made. Property is gorgeous although there are some deferred maintenance items that are starting to show, around wear and tear. Also some pool tiles were broken and pavers as well. There is not enough air conditioning in the restaurants, especially Sakura and Marketplace buffet. Staff was very friendly overall, I feel bad for the omelette guy in the morning, he is sweating profusely at the hot grill with endless omelette line. Also, a place of this size need two of everything at the buffet in order to avoid long queues. Finally, the fridge was basically a cooler, and we had breast milk that needed to be kept cool. The staff stated that it is at a right temperature, so no need fix required. However, the other refrigerator next door was a regular minifridge with a working freezer. Couldn't the staff just swap in a similar fridge? Because of all of this, cannot be 5 stars.

My birthday trip - 10 out of 10 recommend
Being my 2nd time at this resort, I would still recommend booking. There will always be room for improvement anywhere you stay but vacations are always what you make of it! For food I recommend, the jerk shack on the beach, Sakura, the Italian restaurant & the steakhouse. Yes, the drinks and food are good but the people here really make it worth it! A huge thank you to Mr. Andre Higgins who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful! A definite asset to the resort. Many many thanks for taking such good care of us! 🥰 Also, huge shout out to my girls, Teresa and Lackesia at the disco bar! They are so amazing at what they do, not only professionally but relationally. I love them to pieces & I would go back just for them!! To the best bartenders - Thank you for loving us. 🫶🏼😘 Also, big thanks to Schevaugn at the sports bar and Nicholas at the swim up bar who are so fun & make your experience a 10 out of 10. 🥳 Also let it be noted, the best server that I had for an 8 day stay, on the entire resort was Samora at the steakhouse! She was exceptional! 🤌🏼 There’s many more I’m sure I missed but honestly, this resort is so much fun! The beach is beautiful, the swim up room is a whole vibe & the people are so amazing. A piece of my heart is still in Jamaica and I cried on the way to the airport. Be back ASAP! 😭💛
