Jun 14, 2025Lovely oceanfront property!
We just returned from our second stay at Opal Sands and it was once again an unforgettable experience. The one-bedroom suite was gorgeous and comfortable with stunning views of the Gulf from both the bedroom and living area. Every room in this hotel has an ocean view and a private balcony, which really sets it apart. Breakfast at Sea-Guini was a highlight of our mornings. The buffet is incredible with so many delicious choices. We also had lunch and dinner there several times and the burger and pasta are simply outstanding. The staff is consistently kind and welcoming, which makes such a difference in the overall experience. There is one beautiful pool onsite, but we loved having access to the amenities at Opal Sol (their sister property) next door where there are three additional pools to explore. The fitness center overlooks the beach and is both modern and inviting. Another lovely feature is the pantry on each floor, offering a microwave, complimentary snacks, cold water, and the most delicious cookies. This is easily one of our favorite places to stay and we’re already planning our next visit. Opal Sands truly delivers on every level!

Jun 09, 2025Great resort to go to and not leave the entire trip!
First off my wife and I have stayed at opal Sands in Clearwater for 4 years in a row for our anniversary. We live about an hour south so it's not that far for us. The hotel room that is on the water side is absolutely stunning. It wraps around and you feel like you're almost on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean. The restaurant down stairs Seaguini is awesome with a good choice of items, great service and a nice decor. The staff was very attentive the whole time although when I went to pay in cash at the end I could not do so because I would have to check out immediately then. It was 7:00 in the morning and we wanted to leave at the normal 11 checkout. This can be done if you pay via credit card but if you pay the cash you are SOL. I was pissed that they would not accommodate and put something in the system that would allow me to pay and then for us to leave somewhere before 11:00 a.m.. This by no means destroyed our trip but it did piss me off quite a bit.

Incredible vacation!
Our stay here has been incredible! By far the nicest place we have ever stayed. The facility and customer service is top-notch!!! The views and atmosphere are incredible. Their bed is super comfy and getting to use the sister hotel was an awesome perk! Our photography session exceeded expectations and was well worth the money spent- a great way to hold onto these memories forever. 😊

We would stay again.
This place is beautiful. The service was great. Go see Nick at the bar. There were a couple of downfalls. The water in the shower is barely warm. We thought it was a one time thing but it stayed like this every day. I had the goosebumps while in the shower. Also when you leave the room the temperature seems to reset. You have to remember yo turn it down if you want it cooler when you come back in the room. The only parking is valet for $40.00 a day. The people are very nice but this seems to be a little expensive.

Absolutely amazing. I didn’t except my photos to be this amazing. 10/10 experience. It was for my birthday and I was hesitant but I don’t regret it. If your thinking about it do it.
