Opal sands resort was AMAZING!! I booked a last minute trip for my daughter & I, and everything was perfect! Resort is steps away from beach. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and the resort has restaurants on site! Free ice cream for kids at 2:00 each day! The icing on the cake is the resort photography! The photography company is available to guest. You scan a QR code, answer a few questions and you will get linked with a photographer. I got very lucky and Liz was my photographer and the photos were exceptional! Liz was very professional and quick to help with poses! All for a very affordable price! Be sure to ask about the resort photos when you check in!!!

Golden Hour Magic with Our Family 🌅📸 We recently had the most beautiful sunset family photography session, and we’re still swooning over the results. From the warm glow of the setting sun to the candid laughter and sweet in-between moments, every shot felt like a memory frozen in time. The lighting was perfect — that golden hour glow made everything feel soft and timeless. Our photographer knew exactly how to make the kids feel comfortable, and somehow captured everyone’s personality in the most natural way. Sunset sessions can be a little unpredictable with lighting and timing, but this one felt effortless. The beach breeze, the colors in the sky, and the genuine connection in each photo — everything just clicked. Highly recommend scheduling your next family shoot during golden hour. It’s more than a photo session — it’s an experience we’ll treasure forever. 💛

Great photo session on Clearwater
Photographers were so amazing!! They made us laugh and smile and were great to work with. Easy going no stress photo session. They worked with us on poses and even made the husband comfortable! We highly recommend!!

Great resort, modern and friendly. Family Sunset Photos and DRIFT restaurant, best two things!
Amazing resort! The access to the beach is very direct and the staff is super helpful. We were on the 15th floor overlooking the gulf front, amazing view and very serene. You MUST get your pictures taken with Family Sunset Photos! You can find them in the lobby next to guest services. And DRIFT in Opal Sol is 🔥. Best restaurant in Clearwater by far. Get the ribeye, thank me later. Also, the resort has some nice amenities and you can use Opal Sol’s amenities and restaurants too. Very grown atmosphere, not many young kids but even so, well behaved kids and very pleasant. We’ll be back :). Only downside is the city shuts down at 11pm basically, prepare for that.
