Nov 17, 2025Horrible staff. Horrible food
I have never experienced such low quality service. The staff were simply awful. No attention, extremely slow service, almost no English hard to communicate. Treated as a nuisance not a guest. Not just a few members, but every single employee was a 1 out of 10. The food was also a 1-10 absolutely horrible. It felt like a cheap all you can eat buffet with 3 day old food everyday. Restaurants food was not much better to raw chicken being served and agin the most horrendous service I’ve ever experienced. Don’t waste your money. Try Mexico!

Nov 15, 2025A Grand Week at Punta Grand Cana
We just made our nearly annual journey to Paradisus Grand Cana in the DR. We love coming here: for the weather, for the playa, for the food and especially for the service. We've been blessed to have Deilis Garcia as our concierge butler for the past several years. She never disappoints, especially this year making my wife's birthday one to remember. If you want a week or more of just kicking back and enjoying life, this is a great place.to come to.

I would not recommend at all
Terrible resort, save your money. Staff were not helpful, couldn’t get any reservations and the resort was at a super low capacity! Food was bad.

The resort/room was clean, the food was good. All of the restaurants were in one central area. There were a lot of kids, that might be a problem for some people. We had a crying baby at each lunch and dinner. You have to take a shuttle to the beach but they were frequent. The only thing that got on our nerves was the up sell for the Circle program. The wife and I did not want to spend our vacation talking about something that we weren't going to buy into. And we didn't but the reps were persistent almost to the point of making me angry. I know I told them early on that we weren't loyal to any resort, hotel or airline. But that didn't stop them from wanting to talk about the program until the next to the last day.

Nov 12, 2025This is a Paradisus Resort?
We give this resort a 3.5. Lemon Fish, Sal, Tori, and Mangú restaurants will give you excellent service. However, Kicks and especially Agua Marina (by the beach) are a huge disappointment. Yesterday, November 11th, 2025, we waited 45 mins in Agua Marina for a server. No one would come to our table or any of the tables near us. We had to get up and go to the hostess to ask for service, even then it took another 20 mins before we had to stand up from our table and stop a server to ask them to please take our order. It seemed the head servers had all their attention on a table of eight people, two of whom wore name tags and seemed to be affiliated with the resort. We counted 7 servers, in a restaurant that was half full at lunch time, who all chose to blatantly ignore guests. It was incredibly awful service, so disappointing for a Paradisus Resort experience. Never have we seen such ignorant behaviour at any other Paradisus resort. Inside the resort grounds, the service is completely different. Staff are friendly, well trained, and attentive in serving guests. Everyone from the housekeeping staff to the bar and restaurant staff are welcoming and happy to assist your needs. We avoided the golf cart ride to the beach after our experience, and enjoyed the on site amenities instead. Beware the aggressive Circle Member sales pitch. We are already Paradisus Club Melia members, and even so, they persisted with pushing Circle.
