We had a wonderful first visit to this Melia resort. The service was awesome, as we've grown to expect from Melia. Jesus was a great concierge; he was attentive to all of our questions and requests. Laura at Celsius pool was courteous, kind and kept our drinks flowing. Francisco and Angel at Lemon Fish, Huberto and Jazil at Sal were superb servers. Jorge at South bar made our evening easy and relaxing. We will be back!!

An overall enjoyable stay
This review is definitely very late Overall, we did enjoy the stay but there were a few things that did affect our overal enjoyment of our stay. First of all, we stayed ten days in one of the suites on the Reserve side of the resort. The suite was absolutely amazing with two jacuzzis (one inside and one outside). It was extremely well appointed, clean, modern and well supplied. Before we get to the resort itself, getting there was a nightmare. We travelled with Air Transat and I will NEVER, EVER do that again. We had a 0600AM flight that departed close to 1100 AM. We were supposed to land in Cancun at 1100. Late departure = late arrival. By the time we get there, it was end of the day and I guess most of the staff had gone home. It took close to 45 minutes to get our luggage and the person responsible to coordinate transportation to resorts had gone home and had to be called back to the airport. We finally got to the resort at 0700PM dead tired and famished. To add to the Air Transat disaster, we were supposed to meet a representative in the morning. We looked for hours, saw the other reps but not the Air Transat one. We never saw or heard of him/her for the whole ten days we were there. The resort itself was quite large with a family section, an adults only area and the Reserve portion. It is extremely clean with well attended and special attention to every details, never lacked for anything for very long. Reception was lukewarm at best. Not what we expected or what we are used to. It was cold but professional and definitely below standard. The highlight of our stay was definitely our concierge, Mr Eduardo Monroy. He was absolutely amazing. Because we didn’t see our Air Transat rep, Eduardo took care of the orientation, gave us a guided tour of the whole resort, provided a detailed briefing of our entitlement, made sure we know daily the daily activities, took care of all restaurant reservations, took care of our transport back to the airport and arranged a 0600 PM late check out at no cost. He would check on us three to four times daily to make sure we are fine and before he goes home would again check to make sure we are OK. He speaks perfect English and did help us with our broken Spanish. The resort has an excellent gym with two spare areas (weights and cardio’s and one for spin classes and core training area) and an attendant to help if needed. The Spa is a quiet, extremely clean and well run oasis not to be missed. We took advantage of the hydrotherapy package. Where the resort kind of fail is the quality of the restaurants. They were average at best except for the Peruvian and Asian. They were A+++++. However, the menu for room service was unequalling excellent as it has the best dishes from the various restaurants. The other area that failed to meet our expectations was the designated area for Reserve guests. Most people there were older and the area would be very quiet until the activity pool opens up because the area for Reserve guests is very close to the activity pool so the loud music and the noise would filter through along with the drunk and noisy guests from the party area. As they arrive, the Reserve guests would leave. The staff was frustrated as they would become very busy and had no authority to kick them out. Same for the beach area, by 0630, all reserved daybeds would be taken by guests from the adult only section and again the staff was powerless. In the ten days we were there, we only got access once. The other area that I should warn you about is the beach. It is very clean and the water very nice and warm but the ocean floor has a lot of jagged and sharp corals. One guest’s foot was severely cut. Highly recommend having beach shoes. It was a good stay overall because of the special attention of senor Eduardo, the cleanliness of the place, the attention to details, the gym, spa, the Reserve lounge. With all the resorts in Mexico and even in the Riviera Maya area, I would not return as a Reserve guest. I cannot speak for the Adults Only or family sections

Excellent experience with family concierge
Absolutely incredible resort! I can’t recommend the Family Concierge service enough. We had access to a private pool, restaurant, and beach lounge area just for families, which made everything feel extra special and relaxed. Our concierge, Jorge, was phenomenal—he anticipated our needs before we even mentioned them and constantly went above and beyond. He even set up surprises and thoughtful little gifts for the kids in our room, which made their trip magical. Truly outstanding service from start to finish!

2 nights at Paradisus
We stayed in a family concierge room for a few nights at the end of our trip. Jorge Hernandez was our concierge and we couldn't have asked for better service. He was able to get us last minute reservations at one of the restaurants as well as a spot on the trip to the cenote. Food, service, atmosphere all 10s. The only thing I would change would be the children's area. We took our kids there to check it out (4 and 7) but they had no interest in hanging out, which is fine, because there were plenty of other things to do on site.
